  1. This is to do with Custom Reports and should be little effort for a good result.

    I note that after discussions with Xero the [Tax Return AU] Not Started Returns field is only available in the Client Returns report. It would be great to have [Tax Return AU] Not Started Returns in the Tax Return report area so you could generate a report on which returns have been started, in addition to the current status of the ones that have been started (ie Draft, Complete, Lodged) at the moment we can only see if a tax return has been created…

  2. It is not really Xero HQ, it is in MyXero dashboard and in subscriptions where you can input a client code. This is the code that then shows on the CSV file attached to the monthly Xero bill for client subscriptions. At the moment this client code can only be input manually. We really need the ability to export client subscription list and re-import with a client code so that it would make allocating client Xero files for billing easier each month. At the moment this is a manual task that can only be done by someone that knows which…

  3. When uploading a set of annual accounts to Xero Sign, the only option available is to add a signature field.

    For company and trust annual accounts, we typically also include a minute and sometimes other resolutions (created from a Xero report pack). It would be great to able to insert a date field in the minute, like you can with other e-signing platforms.

    The current workaround is to use another e-signing service to send the annual accounts, and use Xero Sign for the tax returns - which adds confusion for our clients and we're often having to chase them up…

  6. We have the AS' downloaded from ATO automatically and this creates a new job for every AS. We then need to add an AS task to every job individually.

    Would be great to be able to add task/s to multiple jobs in one go - similar to how you can assign staff/manager to multiple jobs in one go.

  7. Current: Signatory name and email address for Document Packs are manually typed in (once per pack).

    Issue: Manual input is repetitive, error prone, and requires switching tabs.

    Request: These details usually exist in Xero HQ already, so I'd like to be able to select my signatory from this list.

    Potential future features enabled by this:
    When a signatory is selected this way, other signatories could be pre-populated in the one-click right-bar based on whether they've been in the same group of signatories in a previous Document Pack.
    History of Document Packs attributed to each Xero HQ record.

  8. Ability to copy a rental schedule to another tax return for a property shared 50/50 with the asset workpaper. Also ability to copy asset schedule to another rental schedule within the tax return.

  9. When data is imported from Xero HQ or a client’s Xero ledger into Xero Tax, the system automatically appends the Chart of Accounts code to the account name e.g. “Sales (400), even when the underlying Chart of Accounts name field does not contain the code.

    While this improves traceability, it creates unnecessary clutter in the tax return view and workpapers, especially where codes are not relevant for presentation to clients.

    Users also cannot rename or hide the codes within the Xero Tax interface.

  10. When preparing 2025 financial statements in Xero, will Xero be implementing a system to allow for varying tax rates for Trust's?

    For example, 2024 Trustee tax rate at 33%, however the 2025 Trustee tax rate may be 39% or 33% depending on the Trustee Income, and if it is under $10,000.

    It would be great if Xero were to implement a system to allow for this.Otherwise, a manual work around will be required, which could create human error.

    I'm sure all tax practitioners across the country are hoping for an update from Xero.

  11. Would like the ability to see Write-ons / Write-offs on the Invoices dashboard for Draft invoices to allow easier review of drafts.

    Alternatively some form of reporting that takes draft invoices into account vs billable time to see 'draft write-ons/offs'.

  12. We've just found out to our horror that we lose access to ALL Xero historic accounts and tax filings prepared and submitted through Xero Tax for a client if the Xero sub is cancelled.
    Apparently this is because Xero needs to maintain access to the live data even for filed returns. Therefore, there has to be a process where ALL accounts and tax comps must be downloaded and stored elsewhere each year. We think that's crazy and that all filed returns should be stored in Xero Tax as PDFs. If nothing else, there should be a flag warning us! This…

    Hi everyone, appreciate raising this with us.

    Our product team has confirmed that these records are not deleted when an organisation is deleted, but they're moved into a hidden state. We're looking into how we can improve the storing of these within Xero HQ in future. If you need help with this in the meantime please contact our Xero support team via Xero Central.

  15. Practice Admin have the ability to remove themselves if they have been invite into a potential clients org without manage users.

    Potential clients that decide to not go ahead with a Practice but done remove the PA from the org, PA should have the ability to remove themselves.

    Hey team, thanks for sharing your needs in preparing workpapers on Cash basis. We're happy to provide an update that this is now in development as part of new Xero Workpapers. With new Workpapers you'll be able to select the accounting basis (cash or accrual) when setting up a workpaper pack, ensuring your calculations and reports align perfectly with your client's needs.

    We've just started roll out to Australia, and will be following to other regions in 2026. We understand that you're eager for this feature, and we'll keep you updated on the progress, here.

  20. Can we please customise client page on XPM to add EMAIL.. We currently see the Client NAME, PH NUMBER, and ADDRESS. Can we please add EMAIL to the page?
    It would cut out alot time opening each page if we had some flexibility to simply add the email address column on the first page.
