  2. Following the recent XPM updates in Nov/Dec 2025, the client screen does not display correctly when viewed on a mobile device. The page layout appears distorted and is difficult to read, making it hard to use in a mobile web browser.

    Older XPM pages that have not been updated yet still display normally on mobile, so it would be helpful to improve the layout and usability of the updated client screen to ensure it is mobile-friendly for web access.

  4. In Xero Practice Manager, we can view the ATO prefill PAYG Instalment amounts for each client individually. Is it possible for XPM to create a report or export option that allows us to download the full ATO prefill PAYGI list for all clients at once?

  5. I am hoping it might be possible to create a default for the Agent setting. If this were possible, when we add new clients onto XPM, the Agent field would default to our Agent details, as we only have one Agent to select from.

  7. Account number to be synced to XPM from Xero. This unique account number/code is very useful and would be great to be automatically synced. Further, if, just like in Xero, it is a set field in XPM that notifies you when you are duplicating a code that has already been used for another client.

  8. Automatically provide the audit certificate for e-signatures applied in Document Packs. At the moment, you need to contact Xero Support to obtain the audit certificates, which often takes days, when you generally need these things urgently

  9. Allow mapping of tracking categories in Xero Tax.

    Xero Blue is better catered for tracking category use as opposed to subaccount creation, however, tracking categories from Xero Blue are unable to be mapped in Xero Tax. Therefore, manual entry is required to populate multiple schedules in Xero Tax.

    Example:
    • Client has two Rental Properties, therefore will have two Rental Schedules in the ITR
    • Income from both properties is mapped to a singular GL Account ‘Rental income’
    • The Income in Xero Blue file is segregated by tracking category option, e.g.
    o Tracking Category: Property
    o Category Options: Property…

  10. The entire workpapers function is inefficient and burdensome. It would be much better to have packs carry forward when creating new packs so that you don't have to add all the notes and work papers back each time. When you roll a work paper pack, having to check & uncheck all the irrelevant sections is a waste of time that would also be alleviated by just being able to roll the prior period pack. The ability to use excel sheets with linked data to the accounts in Xero would be greatly beneficial. Another aggravating and time consuming issue is not…

    Hi team! We're happy to announce that the ability to roll forward existing workpaper packs, URL's and Notes is coming with our new Xero Workpapers. This new solution leverages permanent documents, and has improved data preservation to help minimise the manual rework each year, and get a head start with rolling over key information from previous years.

    We're planning ongoing enhancements to this new solution to ensure your workflow is robust and intuitive. We're starting release to our Australian partners now, and other regions will have access from early 2026. We'll keep you updated as the launch for this goes wider.

  11. Given Xero has an IR3 Rental Schedule form and Home Office Work Papers why does the business schedule workpaper only have line by line capability and not a business schedule equivalent to IR's IR3B business schedule? Why is this helpful, it means we have the ability to put in front of the client not only the income and expenses relating to their small enterprise (i.e. usually don't warrant an accounting product) and provides traceability for fixed assets and depreciation claimed.

    Hi everyone, thanks for the on-going interest and engagement in this idea. As mentioned in our last update - tax adviser details will roll forward into the next year for each client, once added.

    However, our product team do appreciate how auto-filling the tax adviser details would make things more efficient.

    While we don't have immediate plans, this is something our teams are taking a closer look into solving for Xero Tax (UK) Personal tax.

    I'll be sure to come back and keep you updated of any progress in this space.

  13. I have noticed that Xero rounds the HELP repayment to the nearest dollar when estimating the tax outcome for individual tax returns however the ATO does not round the HELP repayment when issuing the notice of assessment.

    Can Xero update the HELP repayment calculation to include cents instead of rounding to the nearest dollar?

  14. Bulk edit milestones
    I am trying to utilise the Important Dates page in the Job Manager and there is older jobs that are clogging up the page with overdue milestones that no longer apply. How to I remove all of these in a bulk process? There is over 3000 milestones that need to be removed. Currently support has told me there is no way of doing this apart from deleting each milestone on each job one by one.

It would be great to be able to see the balance owing once the BAS is submitted....have a client in credit and had to log on to my OSFA portal to check the running balance to let them know whether they had to make a payment yet. Would be great to get this data into Xero tax somehow. Anything that avoids us having to use the ATO portal is a great move

  17. Similarly to iFirm, would be great to be able to make amendments to the return in Xero, mark it as an amendment, and then file from Xero rather than having to make the amendment in MyIR, then make the same amendment to the already filed tax return in Xero. Makes it harder to keep track of what has been done.

  18. A quick link from this years (active) workpaper pack to last years (archived) workpaper pack for this client would be so useful and save so much time. Accessing prior year (archived) workpapers is such a 🥴 workflow at present.

    Ideally this would be available on the Workpapers page (where you can see all workpapers) and take you to the same for last year, and it would be available on every individual workpaper page (and take you to that same page for last year).

    Hi team, we've been listening to your feedback and understand just how important it is to have an efficient workflow when preparing workpapers.

    As you may have heard, we've been working on a brand new Workpapers solution. This is a complete overhaul of our Workpapers offering, and we're thrilled to confirm that linking to the prior year's archived workpaper pack is on the roadmap.

    The new solution will include direct and seamless navigation between years, providing a link from the current year's workpaper pack to the previous year's archived pack for the same client. This'll save you significant time, making your compliance and review workflows much smoother. We're phasing the rollout, starting with Australia, with a global expansion to follow. I'll keep you updated here as this release widens.

  19. At the moment, we can only add one IR833 per client when doing tax returns. It would be great to have the ability to add more IR833 forms, as otherwise, if the client sells more than one property, we need to file the forms directly through the IRD, which can be time-consuming.
