  3. Ability to run an Aged Debtors Report of what debts clients owed us at a certain date in XPM. For example, we want to see what our clients owed us at 30/06/25, however the Standard Report (Aged Balance Report) can't be run to a certain date and if we create our own Report in Report Builder it removes clients from the report if they have paid since 01/07/25 and now owe nothing. We need these figures to do clients Financials and also for our own Practice reporting. We can run it in Xero Blue however we don't have the ability…

  4. When you have a departing group, you have to now click on the group, select the entity, click on the 3 dots and select Archive.
    This removes the entity from the group. You then have to start again and search the next entity from clients, and repeat the steps. as you cannot select back to take you back to the group.

    We've reviewed your idea for a filter in Xero HQ to get a list of clients who are paying wages, and now it can gain support from other community members.

  6. Please can you make it possible to add manual transactions to the "tax statement" that will show up in the tax return.

    We often did this with MYOB, eg. adding a penalty that we know will be charged after the tax return has been filed, or changing a late filing penalty from $50 to $250 if the client's income is more than $100k (as this will be updated at IRD after the return is filed).

    At the moment it looks like we can only edit the pdf which is very disappointing...

    Thanks for adding this request to our Ideas Kathryn. We have looked at this with current NZ Tax compliance in mind and for transparency this is not something we are looking into at this time. We appreciate it is something others may see as beneficial so other users are able to vote in this.

  7. Xero Tax should have another Tab to View ALL NON Lodged.
    Right now you have to go to Draft, Completed, Approved, To Sign, To File - that's 5 tabs to see which returns and BAS are not yet lodged. All tab includes Filed. There needs to be a tab where you can view All Non Lodged excluding Filed.

  8. The Xero XPM system calculates GST for each task being billed, but it doesn’t have a total GST check at the invoice level. As a result, some invoices with round billed amounts—such as $30,000—end up with incorrectly rounded GST, for example, $2,999.99. Xero calculates GST on each line item of invoices and other transactions, rounding to the nearest cent. The total GST is then the sum of these individual line calculations, which can sometimes lead to small discrepancies in the overall GST amount.

    Hi Martin, thanks for sharing your idea about GST validation in XPM invoicing. It’s really helpful to hear how a total GST check could help prevent rounding discrepancies.

    The community team has reviewed this and moved it to Gaining support, so it’s now open for votes and comments. If this is something you’d like to see, joining the conversation is a great way to help bring it to the product team’s attention.

    We’ll keep an eye on progress and share updates here as the idea develops.

  9. Public Holiday configuration: There should be a place for admin to set up public holiday for all practice members instead of them having to submit individual timesheets.

    The purpose is to have all necessary data for practice manager to do capacity planning accordingly.

  10. You are able to post a dividend with a date in a different year. I don't think it should let you type a date outside of the period. Until you click review it does not flag an error

  11. When filing an SA100, allow us to change the Personal allowance of the client to match their actual tax code, so the return can be filed correctly. Currently on the generic tax code is catered for, and this doesn’t account for people who have different tax codes.

  12. Ability to add a date greater than 50 years. We have a custom field for trust vesting date (typically up to 80 years after formation). Since the latest update we are unable to add date greater than 50 years.

  13. With all the new AUSTRAC reporting requirements coming soon is Xero adding any beneficial features to Practice Manager eg a Risk Rating box and any other reporting fields that might be helpful to be compliant with AUSTRAC and to reduce having to use additional software to keep track of these.
    Are there any links to apps you suggest for this or what are other accountants using to assist with all this.

  14. In XERO Tax - when retrieving the EFT reports for monies into Trust. Currently XERO only allows one at a time. If you have 30 or 40 fee from refund returns in one day, you never get the reports in time. Other softwares allow a bulk download that shows (eg - on 20 April 2026) this many deposits were made to your Trust Account and these are the clients they are in relation to. This is one snapshot for one day. It is an impossible function as it stands for big practice.

  16. Bulk update job information such as Manager, Budget, Estimated Time, Start Date and Due Date via CSV import.

    It is very time consuming doing it via the Jobs tab in XPM. Lots of room for error there.

  17. Recently we had a client who sold their property, which triggered a CGT event. The property was initially their main residence, however this ceased once the property commenced being rented out. Therefore, a partial main residence exemption applies, however Xero Tax doesn't currently provide a code to acknowledge this scenario, once providing a main residence exemption code (see attachment). For enhanced clarity, it would arguably be useful if such a code was provided, so the gross capital gain can be apportioned between the amount subject to CGT & amount subject to the full MRE.

    Thanks so much for sharing your feedback on adding a Partial Main Residence Exemption code to the CGT Worksheet in Xero Tax.

    As you know, right now, the best workaround is to manually adjust either the Capital proceeds or Cost base in the worksheet. This helps ensure the correct Net capital gain flows through to Item 18A, and still lets you use Exemption Code I. We know it’s not ideal, and it’s exactly the kind of thing you want a built-in solution for.

    We’ve reviewed the idea and moved it to Gaining Support, which means it’s now open for more votes and discussion. Community support plays a big part in helping our product team understand the need. We’ll update the thread if anything changes.

  18. Can XPM/Xero tax add a scheduled send feature? So that we can schedule tax returns/BAS returns to be sent at a set time and day to the client for signing? Content snare, Outlook etc all have these features and its very much missing from XPM.
