  1. In the HubDoc there is a default setting with a checkbox always marked (active) for "save configuration".

    A lot of mistakes are made because old text is saved and reused when it shouldn't.

    It's better if there is no text instead of wrong text.

    Therefore the default should be unchecked (off) for this "save configuration" checkbox because it causes a lot of problems when the wrong text is saved to XERO.

  4. Currently you cannot submit a purchase order in Hubdoc, there is no "publish as" option.
    It would be good if it was an option and have it flow/link with purchase orders in Xero, to which then can flow into Approvalmax to be approved.
    Currently it requires an employee to access another system which would be good to limit.

When adding a new contact if you use account numbers (which is important to use as a primary key for records) it would be really good if a autogenerated number was assigned as a default (like it does with an invoice number etc.). Currently you have to remember/check what the last account number you've used was.

    Hi everyone, there’s been a lot of thoughtful input shared on this idea, and we understand the efficiency and value this could bring for teams working with large or fast-changing contact lists.

    While this request is not in the pipeline, that does not mean the need has gone unnoticed.

    Your feedback continues to shape how we look at these gaps, and we appreciate you taking the time to explain what this would mean for your workflows.

    We know this might not be the outcome many of you were hoping for. This idea will remain open for votes so we can continue to capture support, and we'll make sure to post here if the status changes in future.

  6. From within your contact details or Quote or Invoice - why not have the functionality to communicate to a client via WhatsApp or send the Quote or Invoice via WhatsApp. If you are in the construction industry, acknowledging that not everyone is in construction, the craftsmen you work with only gets to Mail and acceptance of quotes in the evenings. WhatsApp's they respond to easily and quickly ....

  8. Need a better user management/access experience in HubDoc. Currently the practice user who set up the Hubdoc account needs to invite all other practice users into the client. Would it be possible to merge the Hubdoc access into the Xero HQ access or replicate the HQ access system in HubDoc.

  9. There is an issue with the new contact edit settings, we cannot add IBAN in account number and swift in routing numberFinancial details. Since we have vendors globally, not everyone have US routing and acct number only. This needs to be fixed since we are relying on the bank details updated in contact

    Hi everyone, thanks for your on-going involvement in the idea here.

    We understand many of our customers are trading internationally. While we haven't been able to deliver a solution as yet, this is still high on our radar.

    Right now, depending on the country selected when setting up organisations will have different field options - Sort code in UK, BSB code in AU and Routing number in US. This explains the differences some in the conversation have mentioned. I appreciate it's not a solution but for the time being any extra detail (IBAN or any other banking detail) for the contact could be added as a note to the contacts record that can be looked up before making payments.

    For our UK customers that have set up international bill payments - Though not direct from Contacts you can edit and save international payment details for a supplier through the flow…

  10. Currently when you want to add a contact to a group and you have a entire list of different groups, you can not search for the group you are looking for, you have to scroll through your list. It is very frustrating not being able to search for the group.

  11. Please can foreign currency be OPTIONAL and turned off?

    Foreign currency has been added our file in error via an invoice from Hubdoc that was uploaded as USD. It has since been corrected to AUD and there are no foreign currency transactions in the ledger.
    BUT - all reports annoyingly come up with all the 'source' columns. We don't want this to accidentally happen again when we are getting invoices from offshore software providers etc.
    We ONLY report in AUD.

  12. When trying to identify how many new contacts have been added in a certain period it is impossible without pulling months of billing and sorting by client name. Also would be great for marketing to know about Client anniversaries.

    Simply by adding a field for the date added when setting up the record would be ideal, it could then be shown on the exported contacts report.

  14. You can mark bills and invoices as PAID in Hubdoc; this should transfer over to Xero. Otherwise, what's the point?

    Hello everyone, I want to get a better understanding of this idea here. Would you think that this can be achieved by selecting the 'Mark as Paid' checkbox? Because if you’ve ticked the box, the document that you’ve published as draft, will change the into Awaiting payment status in Xero - See our article here for more information.

When adding invoices through HubDoc when there is a new contact that needs to be added, it would be great if the option to create a new contact (supplier or customer) was available in HubDoc, rather than having to start typing in the contact filed & then having to wait for HubDoc/Xero to catch up.

  16. At the moment there is a glaring issue with Xero files and HubDoc files, that the subscriber/owner of each can be different, even though the HubDoc file is integrated with the Xero file and is "paid for" by virtue of the Xero subscription.

    This means it's possible for someone to lose access to their HubDoc account, even if they are the subscriber of their Xero file. Nightmare.

  17. We have imported all our contacts (a mixture of customers and suppliers) into Xero but they have all gone into the "All" category and there is now no way of assigning them to the "Customers" or "Suppliers" categories. It seems like a crazy restriction that not even the Xero people can fix for us. My suggestion is to allow us to move them out of All into one of the other categories.

    Hello Trang, you can tag multiple documents at once by holding ctrl/cmd on your keyboard. Note that you'll need to create the tag first before you can do this - Read more on our article for more information. 

    Because Hubdoc can't bulk update the documents to be "Mark as paid" right now, I've changed the title of your idea, so we can see the interest from the community here :)

  19. I want to see in Hubdoc which receipts have been reconciled in Xero.
    Currently there is no way to know which receipts are reconciled with charges from credit card and which are not, except that I re-publish and get an error of not being able to re-publish because the transactions have been reconciled. For credit card reconciliation, NOT all purchases from vendor will be charged immediately

    Hi team, thanks for raising your ide with us here. While we appreciate the rationale for wanting the ability to view when a document has been reconciled within Xero, in Hubdoc we want to be open that this isn't something that we have plans for developing into the Hubdoc product any time in the foreseeable future.

  20. When entering line items in Hubdocs it would be so useful if we could enter the same number of decimal places that are available in Xero. When we split invoices into line items it is very clunky having to make rounding adjustments because we only have 2 decimal places in Hubdocs, yet 4 in Xero.
