  1. New reports - enable data capture in links

    Currently - if you select a specific date range or filter and then link to this report, that data is lost and upon clicking the link you get the default report and have to reselect the data.

    It would be useful and time saving to enable the link to capture that data - the same as the old versions of the reports

  2. The template for importing journals is setup tax inclusive, but once imported, Xero defaults to tax exclusive and a journal including tax transactions therefore doesn't balance until you go into the draft journal itself and change back to tax inclusive!

    Would be useful to be able to globally set whether imported journals are tax inclusive or exclusive. Presumably in the "Tax Defaults" section of Financial Settings.

  3. In the Bank Statement report it would be extremely helpful to have an additional column/option to view the Customer or Suppliers contact name that the transaction has been reconciled to.

    We have a lot of invoices for the same amount and depending on who is reconciling, they can be matched to the incorrect customer.
    A report showing the contact would help pick up anomalies, rather then after sending statements wait for a disgruntled customer to notify us that a payment has been made when we have reconciled it to another customer.

    Perhaps the Account Transactions report would be of help to you here, Tracy? You can adjust the report to add related account and Contact columns so you could see which account a payment came from as well as the contact it was assigned too.

    Thanks for raising this as an idea on the site, Rhyse. We don't currently have plans for extending auto sales tax to other regions atm but we're keen to stay close to the interest of this here. I'll let you know if there's anything changes for this, here. 

  5. Most companies have different treatment of accounting depreciation and tax allowances on the same assets. Having these setup and maintained in Xero would be a game changer.

    Also: make FAR export dates sync up with regional settings - it's enormously frustrating having a FAR download in MM/DD/YYYY when one works in example DD/MM/YYYY

  6. It would be great if the Activity Statement Transaction reports included the Sales Invoice number in addition to the Reference field. The old full BAS report used to show the Sales Invoice number as the Reference field on the report.

    We use simPRO for Invoicing and when the data is imported the Job No/Order Number is imported into the Reference field in Xero but we sometimes issue multiple invoices per job so the Invoice number is much more relevant as a reference.

  7. Be able to run depreciation from 6th to 5th of a month for businesses that have a financial year end of 5 April.
    Whilst you can do this for a 1st year of trading, we have found that you are unable to run it for any year after and after checking with xero, you are unable to run depreciation if the fixed asset start date is not the 1st of the month.

  9. When running the monthly CIS report it would be helpful to include the tracking category, to be able to work out the total liability per department to pay out of each bank account to HMRC

    Appreciate you sharing ideas from your own clients, David. It'd be great to know more of how this could help their business or the reasons why they'd like to see the post code in this report specifically. 

    Atm, if needing a full list of contacts and their post codes perhaps an export from Contacts would be of use. Thanks 

  13. It would be nicer if the Tabs were Named "My Business" "Advisor" "Standard" "Draft" "Published" and "Archived" in that order so the default Tab would be custom reports for this business. Many users never look past the "Home" tab, and never see the custom Reports.

    Hi everyone, not seeing a lot of interest in this idea overtime and with no plans in the roadmap we will update this idea to Not in pipeline.

    While we appreciate why users would like a report containing all these details, this isn't something we have plans to develop.

    As previously suggested it's possible to export your list of suppliers from contacts that includes email and bank details.

    In relation to spend within a period, you could run the Payable Invoice Details report which can be grouped by Contact and run for a period to view the items purchased and the accounts these were coded to.

    It may also be worth noting that Email can be included as a column when running the Aged Payables Detail or Summary reports.

  19. When I go into Customers and drill down, I like to be able to see the layout that invoices and bills are shown separately and I can select which one I want to view. This will no longer be the case with the new report formats. Is there any conversation that this could be requested? Thank you

  20. In the old version of the report you could over type a selected account with another to quickly see the new account.
    In the new version you 1/ can't see the accounts you choose easily, 2/can't deselect (you must first "Select All" then "Deselect All".
    If I have missed something please let me know.
    This is making spot checking of account transactions much slower, and time equals money.
