  2. I have successfully managed to create a custom report.

    I now want to add on rows which give me the opening and closing balance each month to get a 12 month cashflow. Is there a way I can do this from the statement of cash flows (using the cash and cash equivalents at beginning and end of period)

    When I try to add rows to my custom report it doesn't seem to offer to add, but only to group item is this something that could be considered.

  3. An updated, functional VAT reconciliation report.

    The existing VAT reconciliation report isn't particularly useful. It has to be populated manually and the figures that do populate automatically can't be drilled down into. Not helpful.

    VAT reconciliation aren't really a problem for us as we can use the Detailed Account Transactions report to identify the transactions posted directly to the VAT account i.e. transactions that have a category of VAT, whether it be a VAT payment, VAT on imports or just simply a miscoding by the client.   4. Currently when accessing the Uncoded Statement Lines report, the last date of the prior month will appear in the To field. This is currently set as the default in Xero.

    Be more helpful if the current date was entered as it is the current entries that are being queried. If everything is up to date there should few if any aged items left in the reconciliation report.

    Thanks for the feedback, Richard. Can see where you're coming from and we'll get a sense of the overall interest from users on the thread here but want to be open that we don't have immediate plans for changing this.

    To enable a little more swiftness when changing the date of this report you may find typing the letter 't' before clicking or tabbing through to the next field helpful - we have a few more date entry shortcuts you may like to explore, too. 

  5. I think it would be useful, in the GST Audit Report, to show the Payee, rather than the reference. The reference is often not very informative.

  6. The Net functional (for us GBP) column in the Account Transaction Report does not function correctly if we are considering the full GL.
    Whether it shows a Debit or Credit as plus or minus depends on the type of account.
    For example, an accrual Jnl posts Debit Expense/Credit Liabilities but both show as Positive in the Net column.

    We run the full GL to conduct our analysis and we re-calculate this column every time.
    Then we can confirm that the list balances as the total of the double-entries should be nil.

  8. Provide a report on who the automated invoice reminders have been sent out to, to know when the final reminder has gone out and payments not made can then be chased manually.

  9. Please update depreciation schedule to allow for custom percentages per year, for small business in SA it is allowed to depreciate 50% / 30% / 20% over three years but there is no viable way to implement currently.

    HI team, we're grateful for your involvement and sharing through product ideas. To let you know, currently we don't have any plans for developing the ability to add custom percentages in the depreciation schedule.

    We'll continue to track the interest from community through this idea and if there are any changes surrounding this we'll share an update with you all.

  10. On the notes section to the financial reports in adviser reports templated under the groups, I would like the accounts selected to be in alphabetical order. At the moment the only option is to manually drag and drop - with a large number of accounts this is extremely time consuming. An automated function would assist.

  11. I am having some difficulty with "Blank Reports". I designed a small divisional report which included only a small percentage of my P&L accounts. I tried to select a date range which is offered but doesn't work - the only date range that works is the current financial year. If you want to look at last month, last quarter etc - no luck.

    When I brought this to the attention of Xero, their response was that feature isn't available - then why is it a report option. Their suggestion was to modify the P&L format which has date options that…

  14. Xero Analytics Plus cashflow to show a year not just 90 days.
    The current cashflow upgrade from Xero only shows up to 90 day which is weird as in reality you need to forecast for the year. Is this going to be extended to a year like all the other cashflow apps ?

  18. When using the old reports, when you opened them up they would show the current month. Now they show 12/31/22 which is useless now that we are into March. They should either default to prior month (which is what QBO does) or current month (which is what Xero used to do).
