Donation Receipts - Ability to add signatures on charitable donation receipts
New Zealand Inland Revenue Department requires reciepts to be signed by an authorised person. . This does not appear to be possible possible with Xero at present by inserting an electronic or jpeg signature. With a significant number of receipts our charity issues this can only be done manually and a scanned copy sent.

Reporting (UK): Include tax dates as reporting date option
When running reports, for the date range within the drop down, have 'last tax year' and 'this tax year' as options. Similar to the this and last financial year.
Makes running reports for dividends, trivial benefits, payroll etc, much faster and better flow of information for accountants and clients.
Should be a simple task for xero and will have a positive impact on all users.
26 votesThanks for sharing your idea on reports to support tax-year reporting periods, not just financial-year as per the organisations financial settings.
We've reviewed your idea and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it. Make sure you share your idea with any colleagues that this could benefit so they can add their vote too!

NZ Tax - Separate 7th May Provisional Tax from 7th April Terminal Tax on payment summaries and letters
The Tax summary table in the tax return needs to show the 7th May provisional still owing as seperate to the remainder being due for terminal 7th April. Currently itt is grouped all in terminal meaning it is incorrect as doesnt show clients they need to pay an amount a year earlier
1 voteHi Gary, thanks for sharing this suggestion. We understand you’re looking for payment summaries and letters to show 7 May Provisional Tax and 7 April Terminal Tax as separate items, rather than combining them.
Having these tax obligations separated could make it easier to review amounts and communicate payment details to clients during busy compliance periods.
I’ve updated this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue gathering feedback and examples from the community.

Account transactions report - Option to group by MONTH
Account Transactions report - add functionality to group by MONTH so that there is a visible break between the data / transactions shown between (for example) January 2026 and February 2026 (if the report is run for the period 1 January 2026 to 28 February 2026 in this example).
13 votesThanks for sharing, Deon. Appreciate how this would be useful for your business and getting an overview of transactions within a period.
Make sure you share your idea with any colleagues that this could benefit so they can add their vote too.
We'll keep a track on the interest your idea builds here and share if there is any progress.

Reports – Add TIN and Address Columns in Reports for PH (BIR Compliance)
Hi Xero Team,
I would like to suggest a feature enhancement that would greatly benefit users in the Philippines.
Currently, when generating reports (such as Transaction Reports, General Ledger, or Contact-based reports), there is no option to display the Tax Identification Number (TIN) and registered address of contacts as columns.
Including TIN and address fields in report columns would significantly improve efficiency and accuracy in preparing BIR compliance reports such as:
- SLSP (Summary List of Sales and Purchases)
- QAP ( Quarterly Alphalist of Payees)
- SAWT (Summary Alphalist of Withholding Taxes)
At present, users need to manually extract or cross-reference this…

AU Tax - Allow the Supplementary Income section to be printed directly after the main Income section in the ITR
To confirm, there isn’t currently a way to move the Supplementary income section so that it appears straight after the main Income section in the printed ITR.
When using the new layout, Xero Tax does let you customise print settings, but this only lets you choose which main sections to print and reorder the sections that are available in the print pack, but it doesn’t let you change the internal order of the Individual return such as the Supplementary income section. This makes it difficult if you quickly want to look in the ITR and review all of the income…
1 voteHi Carly, thanks for raising this idea.
We can see how placing the Supplementary Income section directly after the main Income section could create a more consistent reading flow and reduce the need to move back and forth between pages during reviews.
I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking interest and share the feedback with our product teams.

Fixed Assets - History and notes for setting changes
History on Fixed asset settings (the global settings that control depreciation rules) - If any changes are done to the default effective life or rate setting(applied to new assets) Xero does not log those setting changes in the History and Notes. Add a History tab within Fixed Asset Settings timestamped log of “effective life default changed from 5 years to 7 years”. Also if any changes are done to the default settings an option to bulk change all assets changed to the previous effective rate without manually editing them.
4 votesThanks for your idea, Imelda. Appreciate how this note in the history could be useful for businesses.
This isn't something we have plans for right now, but make sure to share your idea with others that could benefit and we can get a better sense of demand here.
In terms of the second request you've made we have another idea around bulk edit of assets that you may like to join and can stay updated of any progress through.

year to date
It would be nice to be able to select "year to date" when choosing comparison periods of quarters or months on the balance sheet and profit and loss statements. Right now the only way to do so is to manually do the math on how many months back the fiscal year end began, which is especially inconvenient for entities with non-calendar year ends.

pack date range
Every new year tax year (1 April) the reports for the previous year that we are still using ie 31 March 2025 automatically change to the 31 March of the current year ie 31 March 2027 and the Last Financial year changes to 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026.
In the drop down box for the Pack Date Range Custom would it be possible to add a Last financial year -1 so that it reads the date range for the previous year that we are still compiling for ie: Date range 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.1 voteThanks for taking the time to explain how you’re using the Pack date range and why you’d like a “Last financial year -1” option. This isn’t something we’re actively working on right now, so we’re moving your idea to Gaining support. This lets other partners and small businesses add their vote and specific scenarios, which helps our product teams understand how many people are impacted and how this should be prioritised alongside other reporting work.
In the meantime, the best available workaround is to set the prior year using a Custom date range and reuse that report pack where possible.

Xero Analytics - Cash flow forecasting customisation
More flexibility for cash flow forecasting - categorisation by account code, manual upload to edit upcoming items rather than one by one, customising summaries (like month end balances).
1 voteAppreciate you sharing how we could improve Cash flow manager, Vanisha. I've just split your idea into 2 so we can track the customisation and bulk update portions separately.
You'll find the idea for bulk updates across here.
If there are any updates planned for either of these we'll let you know on the respective idea. In the meantime share your idea with other colleagues that'd also find this useful to help build up the support in this. 🙂

AU Tax - Dropdown (or expandable lists) of Tax Return items within each section
Dropdown list of Tax Return items.
Hi Xero Team,
I’d like to suggest a possible enhancement to the Tax Returns section for easier navigation.
Would it be possible to add dropdowns (or expandable lists) that show all tax return items within each section, similar to the attached example? This would make it much easier to jump directly to specific items instead of scrolling through the full return.
For example, having a dropdown list for all income categories, deductions, offsets, and other tax return items would help users quickly locate the exact section they need, especially when reviewing or updating multiple…
1 voteHi Sailah, thanks for sharing your feedback here. We can see how long lists in tax returns can make navigation harder, especially as returns become more detailed.
A collapsible or expandable layout could make it easier to focus on the section you’re working on. We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking interest and share the feedback with our product teams.

Company Accounts (UK) | Ability to change default format of Director names
We have been using the New Financial Accounts FRS102 IA template in Xero Business. Here are our feedback notes. In case anyone else is having the same issues.
We had a resignation of a Company secretary and in the period. It does not show resignation date. Also the formatting of the directors name is interesting to say the least. Not a normal format. Last name first.I'll note that the program is significantly easier to use than the current company accounts and tax module. But still needs work around processes.
1 voteThanks for sharing this idea 🙂
We’re moving it to Accepted, as this is something the team has planned. While we don’t have an ETA to share right now, it is on the roadmap and we’ll update this idea when there’s more to share.

Cashflow Manager - Ability to edit outflow date for recurring transactions
In Cash Flow Manager (Reporting / Cash Flow Manager), once a Projected Recurring Cash In/Out amount has been entered, you cannot edit the date that it is received/paid in the cash flow.
You can edit the start- and end-date for recurrence, but the date it is received/paid is locked to the date set when you first added the Projected Recurring Cash In/Out amount.
Please allow the date that the amount is received/paid to be edited.
3 votesHi Ed, thanks for bringing this Idea to us we appreciate the time and effort to do this. We’ve reviewed this suggestion and we’re updating the status to Gaining Support. MTD - Bring through HMRC reference within Xero
On HMRC ASA there is a list of clients signed up for MTD for IT with references starting 'X*IT'. These references should be available to Xero so it would be good for that reference to show in Xero within the MTD tab
8 votesThanks for raising this idea with us, and we are happy to move this to Gaining Support. However we would love if you can give us more details on how this would look, and how this would improve your MTD for IT experience.
You can share this idea with your friend and colleagues so they can vote and comment. This will make it easier for the Product team to gauge community interest in the idea.

Reporting - Ability to change the presentation or base currency at a report level
Ability to run detailed transaction and other reports translated to another currency.
When you are running a multinational business, the ability to convert all data back to 1 currency for reporting is invaluable. Though the entity may trade in one currency, being able to report in another is also important.
Also, looking at the detailed transactions for analytics is important but difficult when it's in a foreign currency. Having a multicurrency TB for export/import and reconciliations would also be handy.
11 votesHi team, we appreciate all the engagement so far. We understand that when you’re working with multiple currencies, being able to view and present reports in a different currency can make it easier to communicate results.
At the moment, report currency is tied to your organisation’s base currency, which means you can’t switch the presentation currency directly within a report.
For now, these reports and spreadsheet exports can help bridge the gap when you need converted views for reporting. We’re continuing to track interest here and share it with the team.
We’ve moved this to Gaining Support so others can add their use cases and help us better understand how this feature could add values.

Reports - Highlight previously viewed transaction on list/report
Restore function where the previously viewed transaction is highlighted in a darker or different colour so you know where you are on a list of transactions. It used to be there but it has now gone :(
4 votesThanks for sharing your idea, Diana. We understand that having a way to keep track of reviewed transactions would help when working through large reports.
The suggestion is to add a visual indicator for previously viewed items, making it easier to remember where you left off and avoid reopening the same transactions.
For now, opening transactions in separate browser tabs can help keep your place while reviewing multiple items. We’ll continue tracking this idea here so the community can share feedback and use cases.

Reporting - Add option to insert page breaks after each account when exporting General Ledger report
There are two concerns regarding XERO Blue Report extraction. One is to apply a page break after each ledger when extracting general ledger details while selecting all ledgers. The other is to extract the transaction list by edit period. This will be helpful in identifying differences between the same report taken for two different periods.
3 votesHi Arunadevi, thanks for sharing this idea. We understand that having cleaner report layouts can make it easier to review and export General Ledger reports.
The suggestion is to add page breaks after each account when exporting the General Ledger report, so each section is easier to review and present.
For now, you can export the report to a spreadsheet and adjust the formatting before sharing. We'll continue to track interest and engagement here.
A separate suggestion was also mentioned around exporting transactions based on edit period. To help each idea get the right visibility, please create a separate idea for that request so it can be tracked individually.

Reporting - Add ABN/Tax Number as an optional column on Aged Payables and Receivables reports
It would be great to have the ability to display the Customer/Supplier ABN on reports with the contact's name.
3 votesThanks for sharing this idea. We appreciate you explaining how including ABN numbers in the Aged Receivables report could streamline your workflow.
We've reviewed your idea and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it. Make sure you share your idea with any colleagues that this could benefit so they can add their vote too.
Along with votes, other members can now comment to share additional detail about how your idea could improve their experience with Xero.

History & Notes: Ability for Advisers to search for a change
Please can advisers have a more in depth way to search for a particular change. The history & notes filters need an "edited date range" and a filter to search in a particular area e.g. "Bank", "Bills" Invoices"
e.g. for context:
Scenario:
Bank was fully reconciled after a conversion to Xero and remained so up to the end of November 2025 with reconciliation report printed. i.e. at the beginning of December 2025 the November 2025 bank reconciliation fully balanced and matched to the bank statement.During January 2026, December 2025 processing was being finalised and it was discovered that the…
6 votesHi everyone, thanks for sharing this idea and outlining your use case. We understand you’re looking for an easier way to search through History & Notes when reviewing changes or investigating balance differences.
The suggestion is to add more advanced filtering options, such as date ranges or transaction types, to help narrow down specific changes without manually reviewing the full history.
For now, reports like the Bank Reconciliation Summary and Journal Report can help investigate adjustments and changes. We’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and help our product teams understand the value of improving History & Notes search.

Reporting - Add an option to include the Report Code column on the Trial Balance and GL Summary reports
Have the ability to include the Report Code on the General Ledger Summary or Trial Balance report. At present, can only report on what Report Code an account has by printing the Chart of Accounts.
With the new workpapers working on the Report Code, would be good to be able to see which Report Code an item has when working with the General Ledger Summary or Trial Balance.1 voteHi Judy, thanks for bringing this idea to our attention. We understand how having Report Codes visible directly within reports like the Trial Balance and General Ledger Summary could make it easier to review mappings and cross-reference accounts without switching between multiple screens.
Including Report Codes as an optional column could also help streamline reporting reviews and external tax or compliance workflows.
We’ll continue tracking the feedback and interest shared here.
