  1. Ability to run detailed transaction and other reports translated to another currency.

    When you are running a multinational business, the ability to convert all data back to 1 currency for reporting is invaluable. Though the entity may trade in one currency, being able to report in another is also important.

    Also, looking at the detailed transactions for analytics is important but difficult when it's in a foreign currency. Having a multicurrency TB for export/import and reconciliations would also be handy.

    Hi team, we appreciate all the engagement so far. We understand that when you’re working with multiple currencies, being able to view and present reports in a different currency can make it easier to communicate results.

    At the moment, report currency is tied to your organisation’s base currency, which means you can’t switch the presentation currency directly within a report.

    For now, these reports and spreadsheet exports can help bridge the gap when you need converted views for reporting. We’re continuing to track interest here and share it with the team.

  2. Restore function where the previously viewed transaction is highlighted in a darker or different colour so you know where you are on a list of transactions. It used to be there but it has now gone :(

    Thanks for sharing your idea, Diana. We understand that having a way to keep track of reviewed transactions would help when working through large reports.

    The suggestion is to add a visual indicator for previously viewed items, making it easier to remember where you left off and avoid reopening the same transactions.

    For now, opening transactions in separate browser tabs can help keep your place while reviewing multiple items. We’ll continue tracking this idea here so the community can share feedback and use cases.

  3. There are two concerns regarding XERO Blue Report extraction. One is to apply a page break after each ledger when extracting general ledger details while selecting all ledgers. The other is to extract the transaction list by edit period. This will be helpful in identifying differences between the same report taken for two different periods.

    Hi Arunadevi, thanks for sharing this idea. We understand that having cleaner report layouts can make it easier to review and export General Ledger reports.

    The suggestion is to add page breaks after each account when exporting the General Ledger report, so each section is easier to review and present.

    For now, you can export the report to a spreadsheet and adjust the formatting before sharing. We'll continue to track interest and engagement here.

    A separate suggestion was also mentioned around exporting transactions based on edit period. To help each idea get the right visibility, please create a separate idea for that request so it can be tracked individually.


  4. It would be great to have the ability to display the Customer/Supplier ABN on reports with the contact's name.

  5. Please can advisers have a more in depth way to search for a particular change. The history & notes filters need an "edited date range" and a filter to search in a particular area e.g. "Bank", "Bills" Invoices"

    e.g. for context:
    Scenario:
    Bank was fully reconciled after a conversion to Xero and remained so up to the end of November 2025 with reconciliation report printed. i.e. at the beginning of December 2025 the November 2025 bank reconciliation fully balanced and matched to the bank statement.

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this idea and outlining your use case. We understand you’re looking for an easier way to search through History & Notes when reviewing changes or investigating balance differences.

    The suggestion is to add more advanced filtering options, such as date ranges or transaction types, to help narrow down specific changes without manually reviewing the full history.

    For now, reports like the Bank Reconciliation Summary and Journal Report can help investigate adjustments and changes. We’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and help our product teams understand the value of improving History & Notes search.

  6. Have the ability to include the Report Code on the General Ledger Summary or Trial Balance report. At present, can only report on what Report Code an account has by printing the Chart of Accounts.
    With the new workpapers working on the Report Code, would be good to be able to see which Report Code an item has when working with the General Ledger Summary or Trial Balance.

    Hi Judy, thanks for bringing this idea to our attention. We understand how having Report Codes visible directly within reports like the Trial Balance and General Ledger Summary could make it easier to review mappings and cross-reference accounts without switching between multiple screens.

    Including Report Codes as an optional column could also help streamline reporting reviews and external tax or compliance workflows.

  7. I'm looking to get more information from this report. Essentially, I'd like to combine "Bank Reconciliation Summary" with "Bank Summary" or "Reconcile Period" where there is an opening balance, add deposits, less withdrawals to get the bank statement balance, then add outstanding deposits and less outstanding withdrawals to get the book balance (balance on trial balance). It should display the source (account) currency and local (reporting) currency (as the "Bank Reconciliation Summary" already does).

    Hi Rodd, thanks for your suggestion. We understand how being able to run the Bank Reconciliation Period report before a period is locked could help with reviewing balances and identifying issues ahead of finalising the period. We’ll monitor the feedback and interest shared here.

  8. The supporting document for the Corporation Tax return is limited to one document of less than 1MB, which is sometimes not large enough for R&D claim supporting documents, even after compression.

  9. For NZ tax calc we reconcile to the figure after Dividends and tax expense. I see that there has been an update done (I am assuming for Australia) which is not suitable for NZ. Can you have an option for the tax amount to be either pre or post?

    Hi Joanne, I just wanted to share an update as checking in with our product teams - from the screenshot you shared around the tax provision in the Balance Sheet Income Tax Reconciliation pulling in the wrong sign. This is something that we're working on right now. I'll come back to let you know once this is fixed.

  10. Please allow the option to show the Income and Expense by Client Report in CASH BASIS, so that we can see this report by the amounts PAID by the client this month, not just INVOICED to the client this month.

    Hi Emily, we understand that for businesses using cash accounting, it’s helpful to see income and expenses based on when money is actually received or paid.

    We hear the request to run the “Income and Expenses by Contact” report on a cash basis so you can more easily review what’s been paid and collected per contact in a given period.

    We’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and help our product teams consider adding a cash basis option to this report.

  11. I have a US corporation in Xero which primarily does business in Canada and collects/remits Canadian sales tax. The rules for a US company are not robust enough to account for Canadian sales tax.
    It's common for expenses in Canada to have some combination of taxable/nontaxable amounts. In a Canadian corporation I can manually adjust the tax amount to easily manage these situations, but I can't in a US corporation. Can you add the option to manually adjust tax amounts in US corporations?

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this idea. We understand that for US organisations managing cross-border expenses, tax differences can sometimes make data entry and reconciliation more complex.

    We hear the request for more flexibility to manually adjust sales tax on expenses, especially where foreign tax rules like GST or HST don’t align with default calculations.

  12. Instead of upgrading the homepage, could you at least make it possible for email reminders to be sent to Employers about PAYE due? I'm accruing fines & tax interests because of late PAYE payments. The least Xero could do is send a reminder 3-4 days prior to the due date.

    My accountant only notified me of the overdue payments when he stumbled across the penalties. IRD failed to send me a notice/email/letter about the due payments (I don't know why). So please, Xero, could you please make an email reminder service possible for GST and PAYE of employees? It will…

  14. An invoice report that also incorporates the Billing and Delivery addresses. This is essential if you do consignments such as in freight forwarding and you want to report on a group of customers per the consignment or you want to create a delivery list. The work arround at the moment is to export all invoices and clean the spreadsheet out to exclude what you dont want

  16. Being able to print off the reports in the 'edit' mode so you can see the expanded breakdown of the accordian would be very helpful to ensure that Notes match Statements of Financial Performance and Position (especially useful for our juniors who often can't work out where their subcodes are if there have been reporting changes)

    Hi Krizza, we understand how having a Business Use Percentage column available in the Fixed Asset Report would make it easier to review and present asset information, particularly for assets with both private and business use.

    While Xero currently applies the business use calculation in the background, having the percentage visible directly in the report would help reduce the need to check individual asset records.

  19. Can you raise an enhancement request for the P&L report to give 2 options- Includes GST and Excludes GST to give an option to the user(similar to the current option of Cash or Accrual)?
    If a user selects "Includes GST ", a new line item gets added showing the GST account, else default option is "Excludes GST " meaning no change to the current report.

  20. Please can Xero improve the dashboard notifications regarding VAT returns so that it shows that the VAT return has been submitted. This would avoid me having heart failure when I log in and see the information below! Our VAT is collected by direct debit, so I know if it is submitted, its HMRC direct debit taking its time, and not my mistake!
