  1. The Journal report does not show any currency information, it would be very helpful to chow to currency and the debit/ credit source amounts.

  2. Report preferences need more details, eg Comparison periods (to the Date or to the period), apply to custom reports, Apply to Users rather than to Organizations.

    Great to hear you find the Report preferences handy, Andrew. So the team can get a pulse of what they should expand this feature to next, it's good to have a separate idea for each new element you'd like to see developed into this. I've slightly amended the title of your idea to reflect Comparison periods, but you're welcome to start new ideas for the other elements you'd like to set blanket application of. Thanks!

  4. Hello, across the board of GST xero users, are you able to make a pop up show on a companies Dashboard notifications. That tells them a GST period has ended that they can start working on their GST now, instead of getting notifications late or close to due date.

    Gotcha, thanks for rounding back, Kieran. Get where you're coming from especially if you often update or add accounts. 

    We don't have any immediate plans around this but we'll keep an eye out and let you know if there's any plans to change, here. 

  7. Currently, the accounts you choose for fixed asset additions and accumulated depreciation are also used for disposal and depreciation on disposal. It would be helpful to be able to choose different accounts for the disposal transactions from those used for additions.

    For example, fixed asset additions would go to an 'additions' account, depreciation in the year goes to a 'depreciation charge' account. Disposals go to 'cost of disposals' and 'depreciation on disposals accounts'. This keeps everything separate and mirrors the corresponding figures required for Ltd Company statutory accounts in the UK.

    Being able to choose different accounts makes it easier…

  9. We reconcile monthly sales with an internal ordering/salesprocessing system. This is good for checking to see if invoices have been missed and also to make sure that the net sales are the same in Xero too (another fail safe check). There needs to be a sales report that is easy to run off on a monthly basis showing net figures. Currently I have to run a couple of reports off - identify prepayments and delete them in the excel version, then add another column to work out net value. The latter is not always easy as some of our goods…

  10. Sales Tax Audit report is produced only on the organization's base currency.

    To be able to produce the Sales Tax Audit report in other currencies as well.

    Reason: to be able to extract the report for organisations registered in countries of which currency is other than the Company's base (if also required for the authorities.)

    Hi Dan, you can already run the new Profit & Loss in a foreign currency your org is using, as well as run on a cash basis. If you often find yourself wanting to run reports on a cash basis - we recently released Reporting preferences where you could set this as a default. 🙂

    We'll keep tracking the interest around viewing the Statement of cashflow in a foreign currency and let you know if there's any plans made for this, here. 

  13. The new Account Summary Report needs the Account Code in the drop down list. Currently it only has the names of the accounts. There is no option to show or hide the Account Code. Sometimes I work with the account codes and not names. I need the ability to type the code in as well.

  15. Supplier and customer ledger - to be able to pull a supplier/ customer ledger, instead of pulling reports per contact. This would be ideal if it can be pulled for a certain period, to see all suppliers'/ customers' opening balances, movements and closing balances per supplier/ customer, all on one document.

  17. The Profit and loss report: Compare tracking are amazing, but still needs the following:
    1 - To be able to edit the heading/remove the dates from the heading (as this is all reading showing on the top of the report, and can be very cluttering if every heading is starting with 1 June - 7 June 2022 ....)
    2 - in the old P&L: compare reports, the columns/tracking that was not applicable "disappeared", with the new reports, I'm seeing ALL my tracking that is available, and not only the ones applicable, please do the same for the new reports

  19. Our board have frequently asked that our management accounts/Profit and loss etc is displayed not in alphabetical order but in order of value. Currently, I manually change the order but this takes far too long.

    Hi Liz, thanks for your suggestion. We understand that being able to sort Profit and Loss lines by value could make it easier to highlight key income and expense areas when reviewing reports.

    For now, you can use Edit Layout in the Profit and Loss report to manually reorder accounts and customise the report layout.

    We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking interest and share your feedback with our teams.

  20. You can run depreciation, without posting the journal entries (so it rolls over to the next financial year without changing the current financial year accounts).
