  1. Account Transactions report - add functionality to group by MONTH so that there is a visible break between the data / transactions shown between (for example) January 2026 and February 2026 (if the report is run for the period 1 January 2026 to 28 February 2026 in this example).

  2. On HMRC ASA there is a list of clients signed up for MTD for IT with references starting 'X*IT'. These references should be available to Xero so it would be good for that reference to show in Xero within the MTD tab

  3. Archiving repeating journals
    We have had a number of repeating journals over the years. We have gotten to the point where when we want to update these journals, we have to trawl through these. It would be nice to archive the ones we don't need any more so we can just see the ones we need.

    Hi team, appreciate raising this idea with us. As noted by others right now it is possible to delete a repeating journal.

    If you need to repeat the journal again in the future you could turn one of the previously posted journals into a Repeat journal to start this up again.

    We don't have any plans for adding an archive option in the short term but will continue to watch the interest for this here.

  4. At the moment, if you reverse a journal with the same date as the original journal, it actually deletes both the original journal and the reversed journal from your manual journal listing in Xero. (You are only likely to do this in error, and it would not be immediately obvious to you as to what you have done). Both journals immediately become invisible and both are thus then uneditable. This should not be the case, there should be an ability to correct your mistakes. The only way to discover your mistake is by the 'Journal report' where you can see…

    Hi Neil, thanks for sharing your idea here. We appreciate the need for having a clear view of the reversed journals. We'll move this idea to gain more support from the community so they can share their thoughts and vote on this as well. We will monitor this space for more traction in the meantime.

  5. The Find and Recode appears not to include Projects so where one wants to set the Project name in the invoice or bill field based on, say, the Tracking category (This is what we need to do) there is no option other than to go through every invoice and bill and set it manually.

    We've reviewed your idea to show the Trial Balance by category and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it.

    In the meantime, did you know that you can group the Trial Balance by 'Account Class' or 'Account Type'? Whilst not the exact functionality requested, these options allow you to split the accounts up within the report.

  7. It is crucial to be able to print or email statements to multiple or all contacts with received money transactions at once showing each received money transaction for the contact in a time period on individual/separate pages by contact. This is really needed functionality because any nonprofit entity needs to send giving/donation statements at year end. I have tried multiple reports and statements. I can create an Account Transactions report showing all the clients and the received money entries, but it doesn't allow me to separate contact on their own page.   8. I would like to be able to hide accounts on the Fixed Asset reconciliation report so that I don't have a page full of Fixed Assets accounts that have no assets attached, and haven't been used for years.

  9. This is a known issue that needs to be voted on to be prioritized.

    The Auto Sales Tax feature in Xero (from Avalara) disallows the ability to use Find and Recode. This is a huge limitation that will have massive repercussions as time goes on. Please fix this promptly.

    Appreciate hearing why you'd like to be able to change the account for invoices that have auto sales tax.

  10. You can't create a stand-alone worksheet for depreciable assets then feed the figures to a chosen label. Depreciation has to be created within the label e.g. rental worksheet/D5/D1. For assets created within a rental schedule you can print nice depreciation worksheets. For assets created at other labels, you sometimes can't print a nice worksheet and the information displayed at the label is limited. The assets worksheets attached to a rental property in a Trust return doesn't show the cost or acquisition date of each asset.

  11. On the Profit and Loss report there is no ability to show percentages, if tracking categories are used as a filter. We want to see COGS as a percentage of trading income, and Net Profit as a percentage of trading income.

    Hi Karen, thanks for submitting this idea. Showing percentages in the Profit & Loss report when using Tracking Categories would make it easier to see how different projects, departments, or locations are performing at a glance.

    This feature would give you clearer insights and save time by reducing the need to export data and crunch numbers in spreadsheets.

    We've been generating individual e-invoice from Xero/Invoici for months, however, we could not find any report on e-invoice generated through Xero/Invoici.

    This report could help us in ensuring accuracy of the data exported to MyInvois portal. We would require a specific report on the generated individual e-invoices to make sure that they tally with the sales invoices report from Xero.

  13. Currently you are unable to concurrently search and sort results in manual journals, and can only do one or the other. Searching resets the sort to default (newest first), and sorting clears search parameters.

    Please consider adding the ability to do both.

    Hey Jon, thanks for sharing this idea. Being able to sort and filter manual journals from the Manual Journals screen would make things a lot easier, especially when you're trying to track something down quickly.

    We really appreciate you calling out how this could save time and help streamline your workflow. While some sorting/filtering is possible via the Manual Journal screen, we get that it’s not quite the same and adds a few extra steps.

    This idea’s now in the Gaining Support stage. Every vote and comment helps us understand how useful this would be for the wider Xero community and gives our product team more insight when planning what’s next.

  14. I would like to be able to see sales totals on a simple table on the Xero app. I simply wish to see monthly sales totals as well as year totals per selected year. This helps me to get a quick snapshot of how my sales are increasing or decreasing, and also to view sales trends by month.

    Thanks for submitting your idea on Xero Product Idea's, Domenico. As you may have seen there is the Total Cash In and Out graph on the dashboard of the app. The dark blue bars show the total amount of cash that’s come into your bank account per month, and the light blue bars show the cash that’s gone out. 

    Appreciate there's no way to show this only based on invoices, or for a year view atm.

    We'll monitor and track support your idea receives from the community.

  15. Provide an option to allow standard users to publish bank reconciliation reports, but not all reports.

    As a Xero Advisor, I don't always perform all of the accounting functions for my clients. For some clients we mutually prefer to have them perform the bank reconciliation process each month. This is a standard internal control that isn't always outsourced. Requiring publishing bank reconciliation reports at the Advisor level user seems overkill and limits how advisors can manage levels of service assumed by the advisor and their clients.

  16. The new Sales Tax Report does not allow for a semi-annual tax reporting period. The non-profit youth camp I work for pays a small amount each year, and the state has us on a schedule to pay twice a year. That is not an option that can be selected, as the only options are Monthly, Quarterly, and Annually. Please add the option for a semi-annual reporting period.

  17. For the Aged Receivables it would be helpful to know what customers owe us as well as what we owe them. We take deposits for future invoices and they don't show on the Aged REceivable Summary.

  18. IDEA - CIS suffered report to calculate the CIS suffered correctly.

    ISSUE - If you apply a credit note to an invoice that has both CIS labour and CIS materials, Xero does not calculate the CIS suffered correctly. Even though the credit note is coded to the correct nominal code, Xero doesn't recognise this. This causes the CIS suffered report to reduce the deduction amount which is incorrect. This means the figure you submit to HMRC is lower than it should be. Meaning less of a refund of CIS suffered than it actually should be.

  19. Since system allows to import manual journal with up to 300 lines cap, it would be of high value to have a feature to import additional lines into the existing manual journal (especially that we found an instruction on how to do that, but there is no functionality withing the Xero product)
    Or as another alternative, if there is an option to merge existing manual journal entries than it will work perfectly as well.

  20. When a custom P&L is created it does not update if there is any change in the chart of accounts. For example, if we move a nominal from the P&L to the BS it will still show in the P&L if the custom report was created before the move. This is a major flaw and when raised with Xero we are told to just re-do the custom reports, some of which take a long time to do.
