  1. We have integrated Xero with Avalara, but when we extract a transaction report in Avalara, instead of being able to see the Contact's name or Invoice number, we see the URL (the invoice’s unique ID). Can this be fixed?

  2. From the standard template, is it not possible for Xero to create a "show tax amount column" option which I can select as opposed to only including the tax rate in each line item? This without creating an advanced docx template from scratch?

  3. It be good to be able to see what type of plan a client is on when accepting a subscription transfer, so then you know which plan to choose when accepting the invite

  4. It would be good to see what type of Xero Subscription plan a client is on in XPM rather than having to go into my xero. (Some people dont have the ability to see what subscription type people are on in my xero. There is a box to show who the subscriber is, which isnt really that helpful, but it would be good to see what plan they are on as that would be very helpful, then everyone can see at a glance.

  5. Have invoices from Xero in a more logical place, like under subscription and billing. The way it is now isn't logical and always takes more time. It would also help with efficiency if the Xero invoice was attached as a PDF to the email saying you've been billed or available via the Xero app.

    This seems like such a simple fix from Accounting software.

    Appreciate your feedback here, Jessica. While subscription invoices are available to view from the Billing accounts tab under Subscription & billing it sounds like you're wanting the view option to be more prominent and directly available from Subscription and billing. We'll get a better sense of the interest for this from the community here.

    We have an existing idea around being able to attach a PDF of the invoice to the email you receive and I've added your vote for this so we can keep you updated here.

  6. IR10s now require a a field which states the amount of investment boost claimed for the year. Currently you have to manually search transactions to find these. Please add a field to fixed assets/depreciation reports that allow us to see this.

  7. Sometimes the Xero outage prevents logging into the platform therefore, raising a case through Xero Central is not an option. It is also quite a process to get to the point where you can raise a case even if you do have access to Xero.
    A more efficient way for your customers to notify you of any faults is to do so directly from the status page.

  8. XERO Tax the Tax practitioners Board TPB and the ATO have placed strict requirements on tax agents to sight identification of new clients. Both the TPB and the ATO have advised that you are unable to have a face-to-face meeting and sight the actual documents, then it is highly recommended that the Tax Agent uses a security system or secure link to transfer documents. Xero should look at this service to assist with satisfying the security of certain documents.

  9. Postpone Price Increase until Platform Fully Functional.

    We all understand that everything is increasing but in light of the current issue we are all facing with the Xero Platform, it might be optimal for Xero to postpone its price increase until a fix has been made.

    You want to retain your current database of clients using your platform, help them help you. Don't increase the price, maintain it, until the platform is stable and all errors are address in full. Your current issues are causing major disruptions to bookkeepers and accountants, this is causing us a major lose in income…

    I don't believe your price hike is justified given the constant outages and portal glitches over the past month. We pay for a service that is constantly not usable. Please do better.

    I am writing to formally raise concerns about the ongoing system outages, performance issues, and the broader impact these disruptions are having on my ability to complete client work.
    Over recent months, Xero has experienced repeated outages too many changes and significant slowdowns. These issues directly affect productivity, delay essential bookkeeping and compliance tasks, and ultimately result in lost income. As a bookkeeper who relies on Xero daily, this level of instability is becoming increasingly difficult to manage.

  13. Dear Xero Team,

    I would like to share a constructive observation regarding the Purchases module, specifically around the management and automated processing of bills.

    From a user perspective, the bills segment currently feels underserved and lacking ongoing optimization. This represents a clear opportunity for improvement and growth. Many of us who use Xero regularly recognize that the automated invoice capture and processing system does not meet expectations, particularly in terms of data extraction accuracy.

    While the feature that allows forwarding invoices to a designated Xero email address is a step in the right direction, it has notable limitations in practice:

  14. Create a button on Jax that allows the dialog box to "Pop Out" or detach from Xero. It makes no sense that I have to copy directions from Jax to paste into Word so I can follow the often multi-step instructions that cannot be done while Jax is active.

  15. Hi Xero Support Team,

    We would like to suggest a system enhancement. Could you please explore the possibility of having a prompt message appear to vendors whenever a duplicate invoice is submitted to us?

    Currently, duplicate submissions create additional manual checks and reconciliation work for our Finance team. A prompt at the point of submission would help prevent errors, reduce rework, and improve efficiency.

  16. The automatic, timed log-out leaves data visible on screen for a few seconds before reverting to a log-in screen. This may be browser specific (I tend to use Chrome) but there is a small security or privacy risk when this happens if whoever sees it isn't meant to. And once you know it happens, you can plan for it. I haven't tried it yet, but a screengrab seems a simple approach. I'm not clear on the mechanism to fix this, however, but I thought it would be a good, if trivial, improvement.

  17. When I have finished working in a tax return, I would like to return to the XPM dashboard directly, rather than having to click back to the client, client list or job list. Would it be possible to add a dashboard button at the top menu?

  18. Within Xero, the current “Invoice Only” user access level could be enhanced to allow access to reports that are directly relevant to their role. This would include areas such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and customer and supplier reports, while still restricting access to broader financial reports like the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.

    Although users with this profile can enter, approve, and pay invoices, they are currently unable to generate key supporting reports such as receivables ageing to follow up overdue debtors or payables reports to monitor outstanding obligations.   19. When sending clients statements, clients cannot view their payments clearly. For example our client made a payment on 8th September however all he could see was the allocation rather then the actual payment.
    Is there a way for the statement to show the payment as well as/ instead of how it was allocated to make it easier for clients to understand

  20. I need to be able to leave a note (like postit note) somewhere in the product to my accountant. They would be notified and be able to go exactly to the view I have a question/comment about and respond right there.
