  1. I use other apps where, if staff submit a case request, I can view it automatically without the need of manual sharing (that xero does).

    Its important that admin staff can view all xero case support messages that is submitted by staff - especially if the staff isn't going to stay with our firm.

    Its very frustrating to continue on with a xero support case that only exist on a work email of a staff that no longer works for us.

  2. As is frequently reported in the news, cybercrimes are prevalent and increasing. In light of a security incident experienced by one of our own clients - additional security measures to avoid cyber security issues need to be addressed.
    Being able to safely send invoices electronically that have some type of protection on them is of utmost importance.

    One small step that can easily be made within Xero is to remove the word 'Invoice' from the subject line of the email which basically can lead hackers to where the dollars are.

    We’ve now moved it to our Gaining support stage. This means it’s on our radar and we’ll be keeping an eye on how much interest it gets from other Xero users.

    The best next step is to encourage any friends or colleagues who’d also benefit from this to add their vote and a short comment on how it would help them. More support and real‑world examples make it easier for our product teams to understand the impact when we’re prioritising future work.

  3. Currently, it seems that business owners with more than one company need to purchase separate subscriptions for each entity.

    Whilst this may be a good solution for users with one or two entities, it becomes very expensive (and in some cases prohibitive) for users who own multiple entities to make use of Xero as an accounting service. Additionally, "overall financial position" metrics / reports currently need to be purchased separately - which further increases the cost for business owners.

    I would thus like to enquire whether it would be possible for Xero to create either a license option to that…

  4. My main business uses a Xero subscription moderated by a by a book-keeper.

    Is there are means to add personal non-business expense bank feeds into Xero under the same licence so they can be separately and privately monitored?

    Hi everyone, we appreciate the feedback we've received from customers that would like to use Xero to manage their own personal finances.

    We want to be open that we don't have plans for developing a specific product for personal use - However, if you'd like to use a Xero business organisation for monitoring your personal finances, you could follow this process for getting set up:

    • Set up your 'personal finances' organisation.
    • Edit the Chart of Accounts, adding accounts that you would like to use (eg Salary & Wages, Groceries, Insurance Expense), and delete any unnecessary accounts.
    • Add your personal bank accounts and import your bank transactions.

    You could then use Tracking to create Categories like Income & Expenditure Goals and add the items that you'd like to track, as options within the related category. 

    The Tracking Summary Report will give you an overview of these 'goals'.

  5. THERE ARE SO MANY CHOICES. I need something specific and someone to help. A comparison tool of each app features (like some of the health industry sites have) or a specialist team to advise, particularly when you are recommending so many platforms.

    Thanks for the idea here, it's good to know how we can help businesses understand how best to navigate Xero when onboarding a business. 

    For the UK we now have a page on our website that helps you find a plan that's right for their business. Xero will provide a plan recommendation based on responses to a selection of questions. 

    Though only available in the UK atm, we are looking to extend this to other regions and I'll keep you updated on when this is available elsewhere, here.

    Hi team, we appreciate the interest for this idea and improvoing the product ideas forums for your use.

    As noted in my last response currently when logged into Xero Product ideas there is the option to go to Settings & activity from your initials in the top right of the screen Within this page you select the option to 'Export my data'. This'll email you a few files, one of which is a CSV of all the ideas you've started and the URL to be able to view these online.

    We appreciate wanting a simpler in product view of this and will continue to consider how we could solve for this as we develop this space. I'll share if there is any progress here.

  7. Have an itemised subscription invoice by Xero Organisation, so that it is easy for us to on charge the costs to our clients.

    Hi everyone, while not completely solved, we've made a recent addition to the client export which now allows you to export the Subscriber Email. This should help provide a better view and filter your clients subscriptions through the export file.

  9. Since its introduction, the Xero app has had a significantly positive impact on my clients, enhancing their overall accounting experience and improving efficiency in managing their finances. I greatly appreciate the value the platform continues to provide.

    However, I would like to raise a concern regarding the absence of the demo company feature on the Xero mobile application. Currently, the demo company is only accessible via the web-based platform, which presents a challenge when demonstrating the app’s capabilities to prospective clients using mobile devices.
