Appreciate you sharing this idea. We understand you’re looking for a more efficient way to update inventory when both quantities and values need adjusting.
The suggestion is to allow both stock count and asset value to be updated together in a bulk inventory adjustment, reducing the need for separate entries.
For now, quantity adjustments and value changes can be managed separately to keep inventory records accurate. We'll continue to track interest and help our product teams understand the value of improving bulk inventory adjustments.

Hi everyone, I want to assure you your voice is heard here and feedback is being shared back with our product teams.
We understand the desire to get this idea moving along and as mentioned in our last update we know this is an area that more controls and permissions would be most beneficial to our customers.
We’d like to share progress that we’re making for banking permissions - Work to provide more controls of sensitive banking information has started and will initially include the ability to restrict users from seeing sensitive banking information such as; account balances, bank transactions, and financial summaries.
We know this doesn’t relieve all pain points of this idea - It’ll be the first phase, a stepping stone of sorts in the development of per-bank controls.
As development continues we’ll share further updates as soon as they’re available with you all here.
Thank you for…

When a leave request is put in by employee or employer it should not allow if hours unavailable so there is no chance of the balances becoming negative.

Hi community, we'd like to share an update as we've released new size options for a few more widgets. In addition to the Chart of accounts watchlist and Cash in and out you now have the option to Resize the following widgets;
- Tasks
- Net profit or loss
- Bills to pay
- Invoices owed to you
Along with this release, once the Homepage is saved and when the Small option is selected for either Bills to pay, or Invoices owed to you widgets, there'll be the option to toggle the chart on or off from the Homepage.
We'll be extending Resize out to more widgets soon, so I'll continue to keep you updated here.

Hi everyone, thanks for your continued feedback and we appreciate you sharing your sentiment here. We’re continuing to evolve the Homepage experience to better meet more of our customers’ needs, and your input is a big part of shaping those improvements.
One of the strongest themes in the feedback has been widget sizing. We’ve now released resize options for the Tasks, Invoices owed to you, Bills to pay, and Net profit and loss widgets, in addition to the Chart of accounts watchlist and Cash in and out widgets.
For the small size Invoices owed to you and Bills to pay widgets, once you’ve saved your Homepage, you’ll also see an option to toggle the chart on or off if you’d prefer to focus just on the figures.
There’s more updates in the works, and I’ll keep sharing further updates with you here.

My sales person just advised that they can see the whole new homepage as a standard user, they can now see all our bank accounts & balances.
That will also mean that our purchasing person can see that & all the income & expenses which is absolutely not relevant to their role.
There needs to far more permission on/off toggle options for each user.
The new page should be for higher management ONLY. -

Hey team 😊 happy to come back to share that this work is now underway with our product team as they begin development for managing files within Xero Payroll.
We really value the feedback we've received from you all in this idea, which has helped inform our teams approach to developing a solution that will fit majority of needs.
I'll return to share as we get nearer to release with more information on what this looks like including where and how you'll be able to attach files in Payroll.

Again no resolution, just expectation that businesses should use another app that costs more money. Attaching a medical certificate for leave request by either the employee or employer if received after the request has been submitted should be mandatory. Attaching files to employee records should also an option - contracts etc.

Hi Kevin, with this information available in a few reports atm there aren't any plans to add contact to the Latest transactions section when viewing a Product or services in Xero.
You could run the Inventory Item Details, or Receivable/Payable Invoice Detail reports, to see the transactions and contacts for an item.

It would also be good to see a column of who purchased from so if multiple suppliers you can see at a glance.

Thanks for your contributions and voting on this idea, community. While we're seriously taking on board your feedback for how and why being able to hold selections across pages would be helpful when processing batch payments, we want to be open that this isn't a focus area for product at this time.
We'll continually reassess ideas where there's opportunity, so please keep adding your votes and interest, here. If there's any development planned we'll be certain to share this with you all.

Hi community, we appreciate your continued feedback on having different default email addresses for various transaction types in Xero contacts, and the manual steps involved to ensure you're communicating with the right person for different purposes.
Currently, one way of managing this in Xero would be to include every additional person on a contact record in emails, and then removing those that aren't required when sending each transaction. However we totally get this isn't the ideal solution.
While being able to set different email addresses for differing transaction types is something we want to address longer term, like the idea for multiple addresses work for this feature requires cross-collaboration between teams in order to achieve.
Once the multiple addresses feature is live this is something we'll be able to consider more closely and provide further updates on.
We do regularly review all ideas here, and your input is vital. We'll…

What a ridiculous comment:-
Currently, one way of managing this in Xero would be to include every additional person on a contact record in emails, and then removing those that aren't required when sending each transaction""
Like we have the time to read every email address when sending like purchasing, remittances etc. Not every person in a business knows who the contacts are for different departments. Suppliers do not want to receive remittances & accounts departments do not want purchase orders as examples.Only a person who doesn't work in these kinds of roles would suggest such an non plausible option. Xero is supposed to make the work easier not more time consuming. Come on please implement this option as matter of urgency.

Imperative for business - Majority of suppliers have a separate email address for the accounts/remittances. Their sales teams do not need to see the remittances, just as accounts departments don;t want to see every purchase order sent. For a business solution software this is ridiculous. Come on Xero if MYOB & QBO can do this why can't you!

Hi team, while we don't have plans for adding a field for supplier to Inventory items, right now you could run the Payable invoice Detail report to see the purchases of items, and which supplier(s) they've been bought from.
You can also Group/Summarise the report by Item Code or Contact, depending on which you want to see together.

Auto update last cost price when entering from last bill/receipt received (irrespective of Inventorised or not), not having to manually go to item & update, should be automatic.
It makes double handling to ensure the correct prices is showing on the item.
Should also have to option of additional columns so show who the supplier was rather having to click into the bill.
Then the correct price will auto populate into purchase orders. Then if want an average you run a report.
