This is a vital function, and I'm not sure why it's still classed as "Submitted" when there are other ideas on here that only have 40 votes that have been classed as "Gaining Support".
This idea clearly has support, and is essential for larger businesses and to help with cover as usually only the person making the payments regularly will know which suppliers are paid by direct debit/standing order/credit card.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Nicole. We’re continuing to think carefully about consistency across the actions and layout of our features as the product evolves, especially as more shared components (like the table used across invoices, purchase orders, bills, and quotes) are introduced into the new experiences.
That said, each feature also has its own distinct needs. While the new experiences across these pages will feel similar, there will be differences designed specifically to support the users and workflows for each one.
Although we’ll move this idea to Not in Pipeline as it’s too broad in scope, I do want to acknowledge that creating a more succinct and harmonised experience across features is very much top of mind for our product teams.

Xero currently does not identify a contact as a duplicate if the contact has been archived and another one is being created with the same name.
Some people have thousands of contacts so this isn't something that we can manually check before we create a new contact.
It would be much better if Xero advised you that there was an archived contact with the same name when you are creating a new contact - then we could just restore the previous contact, and all of our purchases (or sales) would be in the same correct contact. This would also improve reporting and analysis functions.

Hi everyone, we know this remains a highly important request, and we appreciate the volume of detail you’ve shared around billing, delivery and contact management workflows in this idea.
As shared in our last update - our team has been progressing the next phase of work needed to bring this more meaningfully into invoicing.
We know many of you are looking for clearer timing, and while I’m not able to confirm a release date at this stage, I do want to reassure you this remains an active area of work for our product teams.
We’ll continue to return here with further updates as we move through the next stages. Thanks again for your patience and for continuing to share the workflows that make this so important.

Hi there, thanks for the suggestion!
You're right that the current 'Total Cash In and Out' widget is fixed to a 6-month view.
While you can see longer periods by running a Cash Summary report, I understand that having that 12 or 18-month trend visible immediately on your dashboard would be much more powerful for spotting seasonal patterns.
I’ve classified this as 'Gaining Support' to see how many others would like more flexibility with this widget's timeframe
