It would be great to have the ability to have a ‘send remittance advice’ button under the accounts transactions page of the bank accounts to easily tick the payments you want to send a remittance advice of to suppliers. Perhaps next to the ‘remove & redo’ button. This will save a lot of time having to go into a payment transaction. I know that the remittance advices can be send for bulk payments but this needs to be done before the payment is removed if various suppliers are paid in the same batch.   3. Hi,
    Currently Xero restricts the export of Invoice / Bills to 500 rrecords at a time.

    We, I am sure like so may other Xero users are a small value per transaction - High Transaction number enviromment and therefore even if one filters on date range for one day, the number of invoices are in excess of 500. This also means that we are unable to append files for one day at a time.

    My I request Xero to remove the restriction on the number of records while exporting Invoice / Bills transactions please.

  4. During the creation process, we should be allowed to update all fields necessary on the Contact record.

    Example I have at the moment is one of my customers needs to set their clients details within Xero so they can invoice them correctly. At the moment we can't use the API to set the Website field.

  5. Enable payments to a GL account.
    It would be awesome if there was a quicker way to enable/disable payments to an account. Or have an additional column on the COA so it's easy to see which have payments enabled. Alternatively, be able to run a report on this.

    Hi Lauren, you could export the Chart of accounts to be able to view which accounts have 'Yes' in the 'Enable Payments column. It's also possible to import this option in bulk, however I'd highly recommend doing a test in the demo company to ensure this'll work as you intend when importing back into the organisation. 

    Would this achieve what you're in need of here? 

  6. When editing an item and after filling the cost price if TAB is pressed the highlighted field is the "Purchase account" but it's "closed".

    To input any character the space bar needs to be pressed and then search is available.

    I suggest that the search should be immediately available as it will not cause any issue if we want to leave it as is and continue to the next field.

    Would love to see the autosave available for Quotes. Often my clients are distracted whilst creating Quotes and when they've navigated to another section (rather than opening a new Xero tab), the Quote disappears!
    For one of my clients, his quoting is very detailed and this process takes valuable time which he'd rather not have to repeat if the Quote is no longer there.
    Invoices are autosaved of course, once a Contact is entered, so I would assume that the same principle could easily be applied to Quotes....

    Hi team, while we understand the desire for auto-save in quotes here, we want to be open that we don't have plans for changing the current save behaviour for quotes for the time being. While seemingly simple there is a fine balance in creating a save experience that'll suit majority of users. As some may have seen with new invoicing that has auto-save implemented, we've received wide ranging response for this feature, and there is more work needed to fine tune.

    To confirm the current experience, when creating quotes in Xero you'll want to select the Save button before navigating elsewhere in your org, or leaving the page to ensure the contents of your quote is saved.

    If there are any intentions of changing how save works in quotes, we will surely let you know on the idea here. Thanks

  11. Currently the Item Summary report when grouped by Sales Account, groups by the sales account listed on the individual inventory items. If like us, you sell inventory across different revenue accounts i.e. product lines, then it does become a bit frustrating not being able to group the sales of inventory based on the revenue account the transaction was recorded against.

    The Inventory Item Details report does use the transaction account when grouping in contrast to the summary report which feels odd.

    We're re-opening this idea. Although it's possible to favourite reports to add them to the Accounting menu, there is a limit to the number of reports that can be favourited. This idea is to have a separate item in the menu specifically for Custom reports - not something we have plans for at this stage but we'll gauge the interest from users of this here. 

  13. We often use the quick search feature in Xero, and it is often used just to get the client code for files. It would be incredibly helpful if the client code populated next to the client name in the quick search bar to make it easier to see

  14. Budget Variance Report for 12 months.

    Currently the budget variance report is restricted within a selected date range. If we are able to customize the budget variance for the below two options:

    Option 1: If there is an option to run the variance report for previous financial year for the 12 individual month with the actual and budget variance.

    Option 2: For current Financial Year, if there is an option to customize the monthly actual and budget variance report including the budget for the reminder of 11 months.

  15. My client has started using Projects which I'm finding not easy to use.

    We would like to assign bills directs to projects in Hubdoc.

    I also want to be able to give my client a list of bills that haven't been assigned. I can see this in bills to pay but its not printable/ exportable and there is no report that will give me this information.

    I would also like to include direct spends from bank feed instead of having to create a bill just so we can see its not assigned

  16. Project Estimated Expense - Gross Profit Calculation
    Rather than work out the sale price based on a MU% (mark up), add or change this to a GP% (gross profit %). this would then align with the financial accounts / reports which run at the end of the month, quarterly and annual accounts.
    Annual accounts don't report on mark-up%.but GP%
    Accountant reviews and best business advisors all work on GP%

  17. I look after a business that has been advised by the ATO that their PAYG has cycle has changed & they must remit the PAYG tax to ATO within 7 days of each payrun. This means we currently have to make a manual payment for PAYG to the ATO each week, more if there there happens to be an extra pay run for some reason. Payroll software we use for other clients in the same sitiatuon has the functionality to include the PAYG payment with the ABA file for the payrun, which means everyting is automated.   18. Invoice Only : User role - I would like more options assigned to this role. So they can issue payments by cheque. Similar to an accounts payable role. Currently, this user cannot issue cheques, even though Xero states this user can pay bills.
