  1. We need to give specific users access to specific sales.
    We have made our employee have draft only sales access, but now we cant collaborate invoices and quotes there should be an option to give users access to specific invoices & quotes, not the total sales in and out

  2. In ‘Bills Awaiting Payment’ it would be useful if you could assign (or at contact level) a payment method. Specifically so that anything due to be taken by DD isn’t inadvertently paid on a payment run.

  3. We need a report that will give us a list of lapsed customers. We as a small business need to be in touch with customers who haven't had any transactions with us for 6 months or a year. It would be great to have a feature or report where we can easily find these customers. On our old accounting system, all of our customers had a " last invoice date" column so we could easily pull a report for any of these customers who hadn't been invoiced for 6 months or more.

  4. The "Planned Dates" feature in Bills to Pay works extremely well. Key element is that you can bulk update dates as required from a multiple selection.

    The "Expected Date" feature has the same potential but also needs to be able to update invoice "Expected Dates" in bulk.

    Invoices cannot be updated in bulk from Short Term Cashflow if a part-payment has been made against that invoice. Also, you can't update invoices Expected dates if they are not due yet.

    Thanks for the detail of why the Short term cashflows option is not viable for you here, Karl. 

    We don't have any immediate plans around this but will keep an eye on the appetite here and let you know if there's any plans made. 

  5. Add a 'Projects' column to Bills rather than having to click 'Assign expenses to customer or project'.

    As a company who have many projects that are a similar (or the same) name as a customer's company name, the current process results in expenses being assigned to a customer and not the project!

    A 'Project' column has been added in the new invoice template so PLEASE add one to the Bills as well!!

    Thanks for the feedback here, team. While we have made some improvements to the Bills list screen we don't currently have plans for adding Projects as it's own column here.

    However, you may have seen you can now quick view bills from the eye icon and edit from the list meaning you can check a bills assignments, edit if you need and then move onto the next without having to move away from the list.

  6. Instead of tying in the amounts, what about adding a tick box next to the value where you can select the full amount shown and only if a lesser amount is to be used then have to type in the value.

  7. I recently encountered and failed a question about user invitation, which I have used many times without problem. Quite why the learning organisation has increasingly focused on sequence recall rather than book-keeping, is something of a mystery. Good software should be intuitive where there is no need to remember the exact order of clicking presented options.

  8. Make an invoice pdf downloadable from a mobile device.

    I get invoices from a supplier via email but it's only viewable as a PDF on a desktop, this stops me from being able to send the invoice to Dext.

  11. Under the 'New Invoice' creation page, it would be great to add a contact's VAT number as you are creating the contact, on the invoice page.

    Just add one line under the address.

    Then one would not have to navigate to the Contacts page to add the VAT number

  13. When I approve my own expense claims, don't generate a notification for me that my expense is approved. I already know because I just did it. It wastes my time and attention marking those notifications as read.

    Just a minor annoyance. But also a quick fix, I suspect.

    Hey team, we began releasing updates to expense notification which included the change mentioned in my last update here. However, with some of the other changes that were bundled with this one we quickly found that there were some customers receiving many more notifications than before.

    Unfortunately we've needed to turn this off and will look longer term and how we can develop controls for notification preferences.

    For the time being I'm going to move this back to Accepted and when we can bring more attention and resource to developing controls for notifications we'll share an update with you all.

  15. When a report runs over a single page, the header formatting does not pull through to pages 2 forward. It pulls through the report name in small writing at the top of the page and leaves a large spacing at the top of page, as the attached screenshot shows.

    This product idea is to fix this bug so that either the report name header formatting pulls through to all pages within the report (preferable), or at least the empty space is removed.

  17. On VAT returns, there are "ADJUSTED" columns. This is a good idea as it can highlight mistakes, but it also picks up any auto-rounding error created by Xero itself, always of £0.01. This is annoying as it means each of these "Adjusted" entries needs to be checked.
    My proposal is to not include any rounding errors of £0.01
    It will save a lot of time having to go through every "adjusted" item, as it would whittle them down to only ones with real error.
