  1. Currently there is no functionality to add a line anywhere in the Journal. The current system of dragging a line from the bottom is absolutely inconvenient especially where the Journal is very long and we want to add a few lines in the beginning of the Journal.
    There should be one button 'insert a line function' (next to current curser location - meaning anywhere in the journal - Like F7 in SAGE).
    Also, to move to below line, we have to use mouse. Can it not be possible to use arrow keys to move up and down?

  2. Invoices cannot be sent multiple times by e-invoicing - any invoice that was sent by e-invoicing can only be sent again after that by email. This is fine; that ensures that my customers don't have a billion copies of the same invoice in their drafts.

    However, this is also true of invoices where sending by e-invoicing failed and the customer has not received the invoice at all.

    I would like the ability to send by e-invoice to reset when the original attempt fails, because the only workaround I've found involves deleting and recreating the invoice with a new invoice number…

  3. In Projects, it's vital that the employee who submitted expenses is shown on ALL Project reports.
    Why? Because at the moment, it's impossible for the Project Manager to check if all employees working on the project have submitted their expenses. It could also be that they HAVE added an expense but 'forgotten' to add the Project to it so it doesn't get included - because use of this this field is NOT mandatory in expenses.
    2. It would also be very helpful if the gross and net amounts are available in all reports. Again, for a Project manager, it's difficult…

  4. Have option to remove decimals entirely. I.e. Have no ability to input decimals and where calculations are done, e.g. VAT, to round off.

  7. From Chart of Accounts, click on an amount in the YTD column. The account loads with the transactions in date order oldest to newest. Please reverse this (or create an option) for the transactions to load with the latest transactions first by default.

  8. "Purchase order PDFs only include information that's relevant to your supplier. Fields such as the account code or tracking aren’t included on the PDF. "

    It may not be relevant to the supplier but it's critical for the Accounts Payable person to match and code to the relevant account. We track POs based on Property category and also if they are extras to the contract.. A printed PO is attached to the Vendor bill but we have to go back to the PO in the system to see the expense code and if it's extra to a contract.

  10. When adding new Pay Items in Australia, Reportable as W1 should be ticked as a ticked as the default as the vast majority of Pay Items in Australia are Reportable under W1.

    Every time the award changes and we import pay items from Deputy, the new items have Reportable as W1 turned off and we have to manually change them.

    Changing the Xero default may or may not fix that problem but it should be the default nonetheless.

  12. We need to pay two different groups of employees from two different bank accounts. Having to change the payroll settings each time I do a pay run (to change the bank account) leaves far too much room for error. Can there be an option to select which bank account you want to use for each pay group PLEASE!!?

  13. It would be great if we could pay our employees similar to how we can process a batch payment in XERO for bills. At the moment I am having to go into the bank account at the end and pay each employee individually.

    Is there another way to do this ? I may be missing something.

  14. I would like a feature added so that we can add a billable expense to an Invoice even though a payment has been made by customer. It is crazy that you have to delete a deposit from a client so that you can then add a billable expense to the invoice for tracking. Customers pay a deposit then goods are ordered for their job.

When entering information on time sheets for employees, the ability to hit "next" to move onto the next employee once you have approved the time sheet rather than having to go back out to the main timesheet menu, find the appropriate timesheet on the drop down list & go back in to enter the timesheet for the next employee.

  16. I want to track certain yearly expenses. I wish to put a limit to the expenses. When they reach the limit,I wish Xero can alert me. Eg Setting a limit on staff benefit per employee as $1,000. Once $1,000 is reached, a message can be sent to me.

  17. It would be really helpful if you can add more filters in the Project Summary reports, e.g.. a date range for "Closed Date" so we can report on Projects completed in a specific month. At the moment the date range is based on time entries only.

  18. Could you please add the option to pay have different payment dates for bills in a batch payment. Perhaps you can select to choose 'one payment date' or the 'planned payment date' when creating the batch. This way we can bundle multiple payments into one batch and don't need to set up multiple batches for multiple payments dates.

  19. Invoice numbers to be sorted in sequential order so when you get past 9999 the invoices going to 10000 upwards don't then end up at the bottom of the list and out of order.
