Xero settings: Option to automatically insert decimal places
Ability to customise how data is entered - decimal places. To speed up data entry the user should be able to have a setting where they can opt to have the decimal place automatically entered. I.e. type in 12345 and the result is 123.45

Projects - Add mileage and sync with payroll(NZ)
It would be great if there was an ability to add 'mileage' against a project (like you can add time) and have that automatically pull through into that employees payslip to reimbursement them.

Quote - Bigger space for terms
When creating quotes, there is not enough space to add our Terms and Conditions in the relevant field. There are nowhere near enough characters. Please can you increase the size of that, and also allow us to have smaller text there too. We have long terms and it's very important we get them in.
8 votesHi team, while we don't have plans to increase the space directly within the Quote on Xero there are two ways you could go about adding larger terms to your Quotes. You could;
- Attach the (externally created) file with the full T&Cs to each quote as it is created, and then include it as an attachment
- Use an advanced invoice template for your invoices/quote etc - making the document the second page of the advanced template.

It's not possible on the platform itself currently, however if you select the option to 'Export my data' from your Settings and Activity page you'll receive a few files, one of which is a CSV of all the ideas you've started and the URL to be able to view these online

UK Payroll: Support for employees with multiple roles and pay rates
You should be able to add another job role for an employee as sometimes an employee has more than one separate job with the compnay that are on different rates of pay with different start / end dates/holiday entitlement etc so the jobs need to be treated separately but Xero needs to recognise them as the same person for tax, national insurance, pension etc.

Ability to print a deposit slip that shows the subtotals of cash and cheques.
Purpose: Users can easily see the figure of subtotal cash and cheques in the deposit slip.

Reconcilliation: Automatically import and reconcile merchant / PDQ transactions
At the moment to reconcile a PDQ payment we have to manual reconcile to the invoice - this means we have to enter the order number and tick them off, we are running at over 300 orders a day so this can take up to 2 hours a day. It would be good to get the list from Elavon's portal and upload to Xero, so to match them automatically - then leaving us needing only to spot any difference.

AU Payroll: Option to not automatically approve leave requests submitted on behalf of employee
Have the ability to create a leave request on behalf of an employee without approving it as Payroll Admin, and then submit the request to the Leave Approver for that employee.

AU Payroll: Allow ordinary hours to reduce below 0
Xero should reduce Ordinary hours below nil when leave requests are input for the current/previous weeks if the total leave exceeds normal ordinary hours. Eg FT employee 38hrpw is off all current week on leave in addition to 7.6hrs for a day last week not previously processed. Currently, in this situation Xero will not reduce Ordinary hours below Nil and would pay the employee 45.6hours as leave. A manual adjustment is needed to reduce Ordinary hours to minus 7.6hrs to correctly pay the employee.

Batch payment - Navigate back to awaiting payment after approving
To have a shortcut to go back to the "Bill to Pay" section immediately after making a batch payment so as to continue making payments
1 voteHi Angeline, currently once you 'Make a payment' for a batch payment you'll be taken to the payment transaction so you could decide whether to send remittance or export the file for up;load to your bank.
While not a complete resolve for your idea here, you may find the ability to set a default page for your new bills experience useful so when you select 'Bills to pay' from the Business menu you're automatically taken to your Awaiting payment tab?

Report Templates - Add Top suppliers and Top customers reports
In Xero HQ when we create a New Template for Reports and add reports according to our preference, We are unable to add reports like Top Suppliers and Top customers report in Xero HQ but those reports are available in individual client's organizations.
It would be great if we can add these reports in Xero HQ so it would be easy to generate month end reports from Xero HQ for all the clients.

Xero Mobile app - Ability to add & edit repeating invoices
In the app, it would be a huge timesaver if you could create repeating invoices. I spend most of my time in the android app and this is the one thing it's missing 🙂

Inventory item list report - Ability to view all transactions
Browse all transactions on the "Inventory item list" report, it will also be helpful to reveiw in & out movement and can double check with other source.

NZ Payroll: Long Service Leave to accrue each pay run instead of on the employee's anniversary
I would like long service leave to accrue and update the balance each payrun like annual leave does, i.e. leave available to take in advance. rather than waiting for the accrued LSL to be applied on the anniversary date.

Pricing Plan - Plan base for 15 employees to suit AU 'small business'
In Australia one of the criteria to classify as a "small buisiness" is to have 15 or less employees.
Could this also be reflected in Xero's pricing which jumps from 10 employees on payroll to 20.
It would be nice to have a meet half way mark with a fair price for 15 employess.

UK Payroll: Hide Employer's NI from payslips
Please can we have the option not to show Employer's NI contributions on the payslip, as this is confusing our employees.
