Sales invoice - Don't auto update email of contact
Is it possible for cash sales/one off payments to chose not to save an email address? Every time I do a one-off cash sale for a new/random customer, the email address automatically saves into the Cash Sale contact file. But the next cash sale invoice is going to a different email address, so while I can input the new email address, the one prior is printed on the invoice! It is getting very tedious having to go into the contact file, delete the previous email address and get back into the new invoice to reprint it every time I do…
3 votesThanks for your feedback, Carolyn. Appreciate the different use case and why you may not want information from a singular invoice to update the contact. We'll get an understanding of the demand for this here.
In the meantime, it'd be good to understand if recording as Receive money could help your flow here for cash sales so you don't have to enter contact details?

Login - Single Sign-on (SSO) across Xero Products
Would be nice when moving from Xero to Xero HQ and Xero Central to have it retain your login so you do not have to login to each site separately.

UK Payroll | Reset holiday accrual on anniversary date
HOLIDAY ACCRUAL SHOULDN'T TAKE A MONTH TO RESET
We have holiday entitlement to reset on the 1st of April each year, however, the holidays don't reset until the 1st of May and after April's pay run.
Please vote for all holiday balances to reset on the actual anniversary date.39 votesAppreciate the idea.
To confirm for those in differing regions - Xero Payroll is developed specifically for each region based on local compliance and regulation.
It looks like there maybe some in the idea here that are after the same Xerp payroll for AU - you'll find an idea you can join for this across here.

Xero Projects - Add separate field for Project Number
Is there a way that within Xero Projects, we could have a field for "Project Number" and a seperate field for "Project Name".
Unfortunately we have found that some duplication of project numbers can happen within Xero as the project name and project number are within the same field.54 votes -
Xero subscription invoice to be added automatically to xero for reconciliation
This should be automatically added to your account, rather than having to save to Xero manually each month
553 votesHi team, further on from our last update we are extending the ability to automatically record Xero subscription invoices in your organisation to UK customers via einvoicing.
As a first cut if you have registered for einvoicing, you'll be able to edit your billing contact to select to 'Receive Xero subscription bills as einvoices where you'll need to enter your businesses VAT. Over the following months we'll be building on the experience so you can eventually choose this option from the online invoice itself. We'll keep you updated of progress for this, here. -
AU Payroll - Historical Payslip Report (bulk download)
Create a report to show all payslips for an employee for a given time period. Currently these have to be downloaded one by one.
451 votesHey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, I’m pleased to let you know that this has been delivered for UK Payroll initially! It includes the ability to select the date range you’re interested in, and check boxes to either select all results or multiple. Then you can download your selection as a single PDF of multiple payslips.
For users in AU and NZ we know this is a highly anticipated feature, however to be open this is not any immediate plans for those teams so we’ll leave this idea open. While we appreciate it doesn’t help employers needing bulk downloads, employees can be invited into the Xero Me portal to self-serve payslip collection.

New invoicing - View full account name
New Invoicing: Auto adjust the account column width (or wrap text) so that the full account name can be seen when creating an invoice in New Invoicing. Currently users have to click on the account within each line to see the full account name. In Classic invoicing the account box automatically adjusts so that the full account name can be seen.

Invoice reminder - Auto include PDF of invoice
In invoice reminders you do not have the option to add the original invoice as a PDF. My customers accounting teams do NOT follow links in emails (against security policy), but can read an attachment (as long as it is PDF). I would like this added as an option on invoice reminders.

Payroll - Calculate termination pay pro rata
Currently if termination date falls in the middle of a pay cycle, the final pay run will not calculate the staff pay pro rata and therefore payroll admin has to manually update the payslip. Please include this feature so Xero constructs the payslip taking into consideration the termination date whilst still using the employee card details (rates, deductions etc etc).

Bills - Feature for Recipient-Created Tax Invoices (RCTI)
Recipient-Created Tax Invoices (RCTI) are a normal thing in some industries. Xero is not set up to create them; instead we have to do a workaround with purchase orders.
I'd like to not have to use the workaround.
The workaround consists of:
- creating RCTI branding themes
- creating a purchase order for each entity needing RCTIs
- edit that purchase order with the new details every time creation of an RCTI is needed (so in labour hire this can be every week for each contractor)
- send the purchase order to the entity needing the RCTI (editing the email…5 votes -
New Invoicing - Invoice Contact Groups
Update new Invoicing to allow sending invoices to contact groups as you can in the classic invoicing. It's ridiculous that something so useful has been left behind in the switch to the new style. I need to be able to amend the invoices I send out based on the individual needs of the group. It saves so much time to be able to create a default set of drafts that I can amend rather than having to go to each individual and create an individual invoice within that group. Please guys, piull this across!
28 votesHi everyone, we updated this idea to Under Review a couple of months ago and to give a little more detail - We know being able to invoice all members of a Contact group is something that our users find valuable. While we don't have a timeframe for this change right now, we're committed to developing this in new invoicing before we retire the classic version. We'll keep you updated of progress through this idea.

Global Search - Enter terms/phrases and show similar results (not just exact matches)
Update the search box to allow for search phrases to rank within the search box...not just exact matches. it's not particularly beneficial for a search query to result ONLY the exact match if you're searching for a match and probably don't know the exact phrase for a contact/business/customer.
For example,
"Jack Jones" produces no results when the contact is actually "John Jones".
Searching "Jack Jones" should produce a result with all contacts that include either "jack" or "jones". Producing no results is not an accurate representation of the total database.

Reports - Adjust column width
Would be useful to be able to narrow column width, especially when decimals are removed and more months are required on 1 page. Similar to Excel, where we can change width and height of rows or columns.
43 votesHi team, to share your feedback with the right teams and individuals can you please explain the screens/pages in Xero you'd find this particularly useful?

Bills - Duplicate warning when emailing bills into Xero
If you enter a duplicate supplier invoice via an email link into Xero bills, then Xero should advise/warn you that there is already an invoice in the system with the same reference/ amount. There should be the same warning that is given when a duplicate invoice is loaded into Xero bills manually.
10 votesThanks for engaging and voting for this idea, everyone. Our product team have been thinking about how they might help alleviate the pain of identifying duplicate bills in Xero. We're at the point where we'd like to get some feedback on their designs and would like to offer the ability to share back with us.
✍️If you'd be interested in participating in concept testing of this feature please fill in this short form
We may not be able to contact or schedule everyone who registers their interest, however we'll return to share outcomes, and any updates with you here. 😊 -
AU Payroll - Ability to apply tracking categories to superannuation
We have grant funding so wages as well as super needs to be applied with the tracking code to acquit grant correctly. Presently, there is no availability to apply tracking codes against the superannuation, as well it is only available through timesheets for the wages.
It would be very helpful if tracking codes could be applied directly with pay items in employee template (similarly like other software) so this can be applied when leave is taken also8 votes -
NZ GST - Include History/Notes data on GST return page
It would be really useful to be able to track who made changes to the GST return, including who has reversed a return after it has been filed. If available it would allow a discussion to be had with the relevant person as to why the changes were made - which would save time. A recent example of this is when a GST return was filed and payment of the amount due was made. At a later date the return was then reversed and it is unclear who did this and why. This has resulted in time being spent chasing…
