New invoicing: Remove / turn off online payments option
I would like the option to remove the 'set up online payments' box whenever I create a new invoice. For companies like ours who are never going to use this function, it's irrelevant and takes up unnecessary space (we use invoice finance and our clients don't pay us directly). Could there be a toggle button in the settings to be able to switch this off?

Manual Journals - Setting to turn off "Show journal on cash basis reports"
As default, can you please turn off the check box "Show journal on cash basis reports"
For users that rely on the 'Cash Summary' report, non-cash journals create significant difficulty getting a true read on the cash position of the business, a key requirement for this report. Thanks24 votes -
AU Payroll - Set Working Days for Part Time Employees
Currently, Xero does not have the feature to assign certain working days for part time employees. This becomes very frustrating when doing payroll.
For instance, an employee works Wednesday to Friday and when a public holidays falls on a Monday, Xero will allocate either all or some of the employees ordinary hours to this date incorrectly. This means we will have to manually adjust it each time.
A simple resolution would be to set up employees to certain working days, then the public holidays would assign correctly and there would be no need to manual adjustments.

Organisation settings - Change base currency
It is remarkably convoluted to change the base currency even when no transactions have been posted. It only seems to be possible by cancelling the subscription and starting again. I rely on clients purchasing the software and it is not unknown for them to enter an incorrect base currency. I have used other systems where changing the base currency is very quick and easy. I suggest you make this a little easier.

New invoicing - View in files library when uploading and option to return to library
In New Invoicing, I need the ability to view the files in the file library prior to attaching them to an invoice, as I can do in Classic Invoicing. This is because when received into the file library, the files aren't always in the same order as they were scanned. I tried attaching a file using New Invoicing and it wasn't the right file and, because I couldn't return the file to the file library, I had to rescan the document back into the file library. UK Payroll - Option to select/deselect 'Other Previous Earnings' feature on payslips
Remove the feature of 'Other Previous Earnings', or an option of allowing us to choose whether to have this feature. Grouping all previous pay items into 'Other Previous Earnings' in the same financial year is confusing and our employees won't understand what it is for. Please get rid of it!

New invoicing - Reduce size of text
URGENT!!!! The new invoicing is quiet frustrating. It doesn't remember past settings when emailing the invoices. So now I need to remember EVERYTIME I send an invoice to click 'send me a copy', which I know I'm going to forget especially if I'm in a rush.
ANNOYING!!!! There's an added step now to attach a pdf. I now need to click add files then drag the pdf, instead of simply dragging it and clicking to send with invoice or not.
It would be good if the Save & Close button had and 'Email for Approval'. I email invoices (unapproved). Once…

Right now, as you may have seen in updates to some other ideas - our team are developing the line item grid where you enter detail of your invoices. This will encompass reduced padding and smaller pixels to condense details and help you see more information in one page without as much need to scroll which will help with the feedback you've shared here.

Fixed Assets - Add 3-year depreciation schedule for Small Business Corporations in South Africa
Small Business Corporations (SBC's) can, under certain circumstances, depreciate assets in a 3-year schedule as follows:
- 1st year: 50%
- 2nd year: 30%
- 3rd year: 20%
See the attached document, under 4.2.
Currently, this is not possible (I checked with Support).
I expect this to work within Xero, as it is a regular tax rule in South Africa.
Adding this schedule for South Africa would be extremely useful and important, as we now have to do the depreciation outside of Xero.

SHOW A TOTAL FOR EACH SUPPLIER WHEN DOING PAYMENTS
Right now when making payments, all the invoices for each supplier are shown on separate lines and there is no total. I think it needs to be a feature to show us the total amount being paid to each payee before actually uploading it to the bank. When each supplier has a lot of invoices, it makes it very hard to check against the statement and double check that the amount is correct.

New invoicing forces you to populate fields in order and I cannot set the tracking code until the description / amount et al are filled.

Contact List - View contact group and last activity date
In Xero, under All contacts, would be great if we & please add had more columns or choices to add certain column of attributes of the contact showing if they are in a group, and possibly a last action date of last transaction, so that any can be easily Archived, when they haven't been accessed in a long while. Thanks!

Repeating Invoices - Use updated inventory Unit Prices on repeating invoice templates
When you update the inventory selling price of an item you expect that this is reflected when a repeated invoice is generated. This is not currently the case. The price is ONLY updated when you edit the repeated invoice. Please have an option box on the repeated invoice that allows inventory price updates on generation. Currently waste hours and hours and make mistakes every time an inventory item changes price. Logged support cases about this for years but trying here now. Huge time saver.

Bank statement PDF
On organizations you have using bank feeds, a pdf of the bank statement should pop up in Xero once the bank publishes them. QBO has this feature so easy to look at a bank statement while reconciling the account and will also show pictures of the cleared checks.

New invoicing | Send - Find email
With the old Invoice system, the message will correctly prompt the email address for that contact. If I choose instead, to send the message to another contact email first, I simply clear the prompted address and begin to type the intended address and the full address is usually prompted after typing the 1st 3 letters. Is there a way we can make the NEW INVOICES do this? Surely this can be done in the new Invoice Format..???

Payroll reporting: Accrued Leave Balances
REPORTS:
Need "leave balances" + "leave transaction" report to include the "accrued balances" as a separate line also, so this can be reported on by employee on request.Company opted to unticked the option to included leave in advance to balance because this is causing issues for the business, so now only showing entitled leave balances (after anniversary) and not the accrued leave?

Bank Reconciliation - Status terms need to be changed
After a transaction is matched with the online download status should be matched or cleared. Once the reconciliation report is completed the status should change to reconciled. A transactions status should not be deemed reconciled until account is actually Reconciled with the bank statement.

New Invoicing - one click tracking fill from contact default
On classic invoicing, when you click the account category space or the tracking category it would fill in from the contact default, or account default or some default. But on new invoicing it only fills in if you tab.
7 votesThanks for the added detail, Becky. This is good to know when sharing back with the team. While this may be something we look closer at down the line, I want to be open that we don't have direct change planned in the near term.
Understand it's a few more clicks at present, potentially to save tabbing 8 time clicking on the Tax Rate column and then tabbing once may save a little time atm. Completely get it's not a resolve though.
Account Team - Is it possible that this would be when you're copying an invoice to a new draft invoice? If so, and you select the same Contact defaults aren't automatically applied and you'd need to remove and re-add the contact on the new draft invoice to trigger defaults to be applied.
