  1. Like it says on the tin. Why do Xero send an unnecessary EPS each month when its not needed? If I want to change my payroll, great send the EPS when I approve it. If I make a late payment, send the EPS once I've finalised the payroll. But please stop sending pointless returns which makes me wonder what Xero is doing filing unnecessary data that is more likely to cause problems with HMRC than not given their systems.

  2. The button to view attachments was at the top of the page in classic invoicing but is at the bottom in new invoicing. Our sales transactions are imported from our point of sales software via API. Every sales invoice has an attachment and we now have to pointlessly scroll down to the bottom of every invoice before we can view the underlying report. Please put the attachment button back in an accessible place!

  3. Need to ability to limit the list of accounts for each user and then allow the approver to have access to all chart of accounts to re-assign the expense.
    Staff don't understand accounts requirements to be able to choose the correct account.
    Also need to make it simple for users.

  4. After the recent Xero upgrade, the ability to view leave dates disappeared from the employees' History. Instead, a column titled "Next pay day" was added, which does not seem useful because the employees have left the company.

  5. Customer statements - will Xero enable the functionality to present payments received by customers as 1 line item? We want to see the total payment amount on the statement - not allocated to each invoice as it is currently.

  6. Retain the This Make manual tax adjustments from the invoice subtotal in New Invoicing. This is a feature that I use as I have to import sales figures from an external program and the VAT figure is different by a small amount But I don't want to have to alter each line on the invoice.

  7. As a charity funded entirely by donation we receive the majority of funds via online bank receipts. Because the bank receipt is standard, I currently manually create a receipt for our donors in word which I can attach to the bank receipt transaction and email to the donor. This is very time-consuming and I think it would be a very easy fix to allow customisation as with invoices

  8. I would like the option to remove the 'set up online payments' box whenever I create a new invoice. For companies like ours who are never going to use this function, it's irrelevant and takes up unnecessary space (we use invoice finance and our clients don't pay us directly). Could there be a toggle button in the settings to be able to switch this off?

In Xero, under All contacts, would be great if we & please add had more columns or choices to add certain column of attributes of the contact showing if they are in a group, and possibly a last action date of last transaction, so that any can be easily Archived, when they haven't been accessed in a long while.   10. It is remarkably convoluted to change the base currency even when no transactions have been posted. It only seems to be possible by cancelling the subscription and starting again. I rely on clients purchasing the software and it is not unknown for them to enter an incorrect base currency. I have used other systems where changing the base currency is very quick and easy. I suggest you make this a little easier.

  11. A simple payroll report that shows the actual wages for a period for reporting for Workers Compensation as it is a legal requirement for AU businesses. Details would be split into wages paid including super, with the residency status (+country of origin for Working Holiday Makers) - with a split if an employee has changed employment basis (i.e., moved from Casual to FT) in the period.
    And any additional details that are required by the majority of insurance companies who handle Workers Comp.

  12. When using the final pay function and annual leave is in negative, please flag with a "check with your bookkeeper, accountant or Fair Work before processing negative leave on a final pay." Some business owners are unaware that this may be contravening Fair Work laws.

  13. Is it possible to have the choice to add [Invoice Number] placeholder to a sales receipt - email template.
    Customers often make multiple payments against several invoices so would be good to let them know which invoice the payments is against.

  14. Classic view invoicng compared to the new view invoicing. The new version shows figures entered as 123456789.00 but Classic View correctly shows 123,456,789.00. All figures should be shown in 123,456,789.00 format. It's accounting after all! This is not a suggestion, this should be a bug fix, especially before new invoicing is enforced.

  17. Provide an option to allow standard users to publish bank reconciliation reports, but not all reports.

    As a Xero Advisor, I don't always perform all of the accounting functions for my clients. For some clients we mutually prefer to have them perform the bank reconciliation process each month. This is a standard internal control that isn't always outsourced. Requiring publishing bank reconciliation reports at the Advisor level user seems overkill and limits how advisors can manage levels of service assumed by the advisor and their clients.

  19. When preparing monthly CIS returns on xero you need to create a bill for the subcontractor and reconcile/mark the bill as paid. When you have clients that have on average 80 to 120 subcontractors the bill creation even with a bill template can be time consuming.
    Something to consider is whether creating a bill could be removed from this process and the CIS return be prepared simply from a spend money to a CIS enable contact.
    Also something else that can be time consuming when dealing with this volume of subcontractors is downloading the monthly CIS payment certificates as clients…

  20. Include a tracking order under inventory/product items. For e-invoicing in Malaysia, a classification code must be tagged to each product items when issuing the bill. This is mandatory as the e-invoicing would need to be validated by the tax authorities. Including this classification code simplifies the coding for each product items and this would avoid running into errors during validation with our tax authorities.
