To save remembering to do manually, Xero could automatically send payslips as soon as the payrun is created/clicked.

Account transaction report - Remove 'overall total of all accounts' when run for a single account
New Account transaction report - remove the totals when generating the report for a single account.
The new report adds a report total at the end of the selected accounts which is a total of the debit or credit transactions for 'all' accounts selected.
When only one account is selected it still shows a total - this is in addition to the total for the transactions on the account itself so it shows total of transactions, closing balance and then total of transactions of all accounts selected. It would improve the usability of this report to have the 'overall total…11 votesHi everyone, we appreciate the rationale for wanting to remove this total when running the Account Transactions report for a single account. Our team are looking into this work now and I'll swing back to share as work begins 😊

Bill - Create Billable Expenses from a customer invoice
I request xero development team to edit the billable expense feature or create a new feature. Currently for billable expense to be invoiced to customer, first we need to enter the billable expense and than later invoice to customer. However, in our case, we first send the customer a tax invoice to collect advance from customer and than make spending for the expenses on behalf of customer. However, in this case we can not make sure or link within xero what was invoiced to customer and how much was spent against that invoice. I mean if we the invoice for…

Purchase orders - Ability to lock/stop editing once billed
Purchase orders should not be able to be edited after they have been billed (even part billed). It defeats the purpose of a purchase order.
We want staff to be able to issue purchase orders. Invoices are approved on those matching purchase orders. The same staff shouldn't be able to edit the original PO if it has been billed as then it doesn't match the invoice that's been paid/being paid.3 votes -
Expenses - Floating header
Xero Expenses - Can this screen be displayed, like Bills to Pay and with a freeze frame set at the top of the information, so 'New expense' stays put when scrolling?

Bills to pay - Multi facet search (cross-search by multiple fields)
Sort "Bills you need to pay" Invoices by Supplier, then Due Date.
When I make payments to suppliers, I first sort invoices by suppliers name (A-Z) and then by due date, however, the new update does not keep the A-Z order which means the list is not neat and easy to follow for payments.
I can currently sort by due date, however it does not group automatically by supplier, so is very chaotic and requires streamlining, especially if there are lots of invoices due on the same date.
Are you able to amend the programming to allow for this feature?

Reporting - Combine Bank Reconciliation & Uncoded Statement Line Report
It would be useful if Bank uncoded statement line report could also show outstanding payments & receipts. 9 times out of 10 an 'orange' transaction is a client error, duplicate transaction etc. Effectively this would be a complete list of bank items to be reconciled / fixed ( Ideally with the last month, quarter, financial year filter)

Profit & Loss | Tracking - Ability to drill down
The previous Profit & Loss report allowed you to filter by multiple categories. There was an add t report function which allowed users to drill down into secondary categories and export ALL of the data into one report which showed 1. A P&L Summary, 2. Detailed expenditure for the chosen secondary category. The "Add to report" function allowed the user to export the entire category details as a whole.
For our business this is critical. We are a bespoke project based company and use this filter constantly & No the project feature does not work for our business....I have tried!

Contacts Ledgers - Ability to pull more than one Contact's ledger at a time
Currently, you are able to pull the Contact Transactions Summary and ledger for only one contact at a time.
If you can add the ability to pull more than one contact's transactions at a time, it would be great. It should work the same as "Account Transactions" where you choose the accounts you want to pull, just for Contacts.
4 votesHi Elizna, you can run the Receivable or Payable invoice detail reports for multiple contacts at a time. Is there something specific about the Contact Transactions Summary that's missing from these reports that you'd want included ?

NZ Payroll - Show deductions on Payments Report
Can payroll deductions such as IRD arrears or MOJ deductions etc be included in the Payments Report. This is vital information that is not able to be reported on at this stage and I wonder how many deductions have slipped through the cracks because clients aren't aware that a deduction has been made. In the situation where a third party is managing Xero payrolls for clients these payments need to be communicated manually via email. As you can imagine this places a large burden on the third party to ensure that this is captured each payrun.

Purchase orders - Default tax rate to last selected
Purchase orders reset to 'include GST' ever time you start a new PO. Why does it not just remember the last setting like invoicing does. (Or an option to lock it to a setting)
Ability to add more information to invoices like customers phone number or email. It's an option. Saves warehouse staff or anyone having to look up the information. (At this time I use the country for the phone number and contact for the email)

Invoices - Add Pay Now option to Invoice screen
Customers receive an email with "Pay Now" option to pay online with Stripe.
Customers will, instead of clicking Pay Now, just call up with CC and ask to pay invoice.
Having the Pay Now button in the invoice screen would make this so much easier to process.Just let me pay an invoice using credit card from within the invoice screen

Bills to pay - Consistent font size
New bills screen - bugs/design that need to be fixed:
- when filtering the currency column disappears
- the planned date font size is smaller than the due date font size meaning I can't zoom the screen
- the from column isn't wide enough so most suppliers' names are wrapping, meaning each transaction takes up 2 lines and results in fewer transactions on one screen and more scrolling, whereas there is wasted space between the planned date, paid and due date columns which could be made narrower68 votes -
Purchase Orders/Quotes - Remove Deleted PO's and Quotes from Sales & Purchases Overviews
PO's and Quotes that have been Deleted are marked as Deleted but continue to be displayed in the Sales and Purchases Overviews. There is no need to continue to display deleted items in the Overviews. They should be removed.

foreign currency supplier
Suppliers that have a foreign currency default on their account should show the balance owing to them in that currency and not in gbp. This is very confusing for users who are not familiar with xero or experienced in accounts. Another colleague of mine paid the amount owing on their supplier account thinking it was USD as the supplier invoices in USD only and that is their default currency, however it shows as owing in GBP, therefore the incorrect amount was paid to them?
13 votesThanks for your feedback, Christine. Appreciate how this could help though I want to be upfront that we don't have plans for changing this atm.
It would help in passing on your feedback to the right team to know if there is a specific area in Xero that you'd most commonly view the balance owing to your supplier - e.g would this be within their contact record, or do you run a particular report to view multiple supplier balances at once?

Bank Reconciliation - Summary Report with Imported Statement Balance for all banks
Can the new bank summary report have the option of adding in the imported statement balance for each bank account. This would provide a quick way of checking which accounts need more work rather than having to check each reconciliation report for each bank account when there are multiple bank accounts (I have 10+ and it is arduous having to run each reconciliation report just to check the balance)
6 votesHi everyone, while not a direct solve for the idea here we wanted to share a recent release that improves customers ability to confirm their bank balances using the new Bank Reconciliation Summary report.
With the new report you'll now find you can enter a Bank statement ending balance. This means where an imported statement balance has not imported, or doesn't match your actual bank statement balance you can now enter an amount and update the report. Xero will then calculate the balance out by based on the amount you've entered in this field.
Currently this is still on a bank by bank run report, you can switch between banks you have in your organisation from the Bank account field.
If there are any plans to develop a view across all banks at once we'll let you know here.
