  2. Xero is very limited by only allowing 200 invoices to show on the page on the awaiting payment screen - a filter to exclude some clients based on the client type would be helpful
    e.g. creating a client type for direct debit payments would help reduce the number of invoices.

  3. Have a way to make updates to multiple templates at once or somehow link templates. e.g. trading / non-trading companies, should be the same except for the trading statement/income statement. Would be handy to be able to make updates to both at the same time where possible

  5. i would like the option of more than 50 photos as i run a repair and maintenance business and regularly require to send 150 or so photos (before and after) for either bond or insurance jobs this is required for the claims and they prefer them attached to the invoice and quotes at this stage its very hard as have to do multiple separate emails that can get split and can affect payment of invoices. it very messy.

    Appreciate the understanding behind your business needs here, Kevin. Would say this is quite a niche idea and something we'd want to see a fair amount of support for. 

    Perhaps for now, would it be possible to put all photos associated to a quote or invoice into one document and upload as one?

  7. There isn’t the ability to have a ‘reporting name’ for a bank account name on the Chart of accounts
    (. e.g. you either have to update the name in the system (problematic for live files where the client names accounts based upon their use and not in out reporting name format) or manually create a group with the correct name when drafting the financials to replace the account name.

    Appreciate it's not the ideal solution but good to hear you're aware of how you can group and rename an account through the Financial reports at present. We'll keep an eye on the interest in this, here. 

  8. When viewing a Contact's record, the activity can appear cluttered with every single change made, including adding planned payment dates, removing planned payment dates, adding invoice notes, editing the contact's record etc.
    It would be good to be able to filter this page to look at say Bills Paid and Invoices Paid only; or Invoice Sent only.
    As it works now, for a very active contact, this can quickly become difficult to navigate.

    Thanks for your feedback and sharing your idea in the forums here, Jo - As part of our work for 'building on beautiful' a contact record is the next page in this space that'll be getting a new look. 

    Though a little too soon to confirm what it will look like, I can say that the page will be cleaner, with filters to help with viewing what is shown on the page.

  9. It would be great if Xero can change the PDF format of partner monthly subscription invoices by customer rather than subscription type.

    This way the PDF can be forwarded to our Xero Blue practice file as a draft bill and hopefully the AI will extract each customer subscription as a separate line item within the bill so we an easily assign each line as an expense to each individual client.

    Then the billable expenses will come through correctly when we raise sales invoices in XPM that integrate with our Xero Blue practice file as a draft invoice.

  10. We require more than 10 email templates for our organisation, due to running multiple events and each needing a different message to go out with the Sales Invoice in the email body.

    Understand the restriction on the current limits and appreciate your detail in how this'd help you, Kira. Is there an ideal # that'd fit for your business? 

    This isn't something we have immediate plans for atm but good to know when sharing your feedback with product. 

    For the time being, you'll need to apply a base template and can adjust as needed when sending individual items from Xero.

  12. I need to search Invoice descriptions to find Invoices that have certain quote references.

    I've found a workaround for this using an Account Transaction report and filtering on description. However I can't find a way to use an OR operator.

    For example I can create a report that finds all quote references with "A0", and I can modify that to display a report that finds all quotes with a reference that contains "L0".

    However, I can't find a way to create a single report that contains all quote references with "A0" OR "L0" (or "A0" OR "A1" OR "A2")

    Thanks for the detail in your idea here, Paul. I had a bit of a test of this myself and have checked in with our reporting team. 

    It doesn't quite appear in the modal once the report's run - this is something that we'll look to improve. 

    However, it's possible to enter multiple terms which will each be searched and return results for (like OR as an operator) - All you need to do is enter a comma(,) and space between each condition. 

    For example A0, L0 or A0, A1, A2, 🙂

  13. When creating a customer record, we complete the sales defaults, as different customers have different requirements. However, when raising a quote within Projects, the sales defaults for the associated customer do not populate the relevant fields within the quote.

    We are in the UK and have some customers who are CIS and VAT registered, and require a specific sales account, VAT treatment, and we use a particular sales invoice layout. All of these things can be specified in the default settings for the customer. However, when creating a quote for those customers, through Projects, the customer defaults do not get…

  14. Currently, in the Automatic Sequencing setting, the invoice & credit note share the same number sequence. However, for tracking purpose, we prefer to have a separate number sequence for credit notes. Therefore, would like to request an additional 'Next Number' field for credit note, which can come with an option to share or not to share the number sequence with invoice.

  15. email with 1-click link to list of unpaid/open invoices...

    When invoices are sent from MYOB, the email includes a link to a webpage which individually lists all unpaid/open invoices. This a great feature especially for accountants when they get a statement and find they are missing an invoice (this link would also be a great option to add this link to statements!!).

    Is there a particular reason you'd specifically not want the user to login to Xero to view this information, Ben? 

    Currently as you may be aware, there's an option to include a link so that your customer can view outstanding invoices they have with you - See more here 


  16. I would like to suggest creating quotes in multiple currencies should be the same as setting the exchange rate. As currently when we choose another currency when creating a quote, while the exchange rate still appears as the custom rate, the exchange rate that appears on the PDF is the default rate. We should all be on the same page.

  17. With separating the All purpose allowances. Is there going to be a selection for SICK LEAVE and RDO in the future? (Currently Contributes to Annual and Overtime) only. There is a lot of room for error when you have 50 employees and you have manually adjusted the rate for every single employee!! I'm sure we are not the only company that has RDO and Sick Leave where the all-purpose allowances need to be included in the base rate. Could you please Add this option to the allowances pay item.   18. Now that you have a function to create a Non-employee SubContrator who is paid Superannuation only here are some suggestions as currently it is a very labout intensive and manual process especally since STP2

    • ability to populate the contractors details eg address, email, phone number from their Contact as they have been paid for an invoice via Bills
    • pay items that alows you to enter the invoice value so the super is calculated - at present, new STP does not allow you to trick the system anymore so 10.5% SG has to be manually calculated
    • ALLOW SPACES IN ABN field…

  19. Account credentials for SVB credit card feeds into Xero should not be restricted to the primary account holder. This is not feasible in our business case as these are individuals who are CSuite executives who do not even access our accounting system. Unclear why there is a difference between SVB banking and credit card feeds, they should operate the same.
