  1. Very very occasionally, sending an e-invoice will fail. When this happens, currently the only way to find out is to follow up with the client about their unpaid invoice, find out they never received it, go into the individual invoice and look at the history. An alert would be very useful.

  2. I've accidentally created a Small Business Depreciation Pool in the Fixed Asset section of a client.

    As far as I can tell there is no way to permanently remove or delete this, and it just hangs around forever?

  3. I'd like to add a note within a pay run that is visible to "admin only".
    Eg. To justify differences due to staff timesheet errors.
    I don't want the staff to be able to see this note but I'm sick of having notes in external programs.

  4. Add an option to find all transactions by Item Code

    Example: I recently had a client who put the wrong sales accounts on some of their inventory items but had been making sales transactions for 14 months without noticing. The P&L did not accurately reflect the sales of the actual inventory categories because of this.

    There is currently no ability to find all the transactions by inventory item code to quickly recode the original transactions.

  6. It would be very useful if the cashflow report could intelligently add VAT payments to Cashflow automatically.

    For example when a VAT return if filed, automatically add the payment amount and date to the report, learning as it does with repeating outgoings what the date might be - if you're paying by DD this is pretty predictable.

    As invoices are generated (payable and receivable) the report already picks up the amount of VAT payable to HMRC and it would not be a stretch to calculate what is due back on purchases, or to use the known VAT reporting date to…

  7. Currently to reimburse employees for expenses you have to add them manually to each pay run for each employee, it would make sense for expenses that have been added using the expenses function to auto add to payroll each month to reduce work and to allow staff to be reimbursed quicker. this would also make the expenses function more worthwhile for the cost.

    This would reduce stress for staff putting on employees as expenses that have been approved will automatically be added and marked as paid.

  8. When uploading a 20% vat rate expense via the Xero Expense App please allow for the VAT box to be overwritten if required. This is an issue when the Xero rounding is different to that on the receipt, usually by 1p.

  9. Add a "DUE" Column to The new "Customer Invoice Summary" report if it is to replace the "Customer Invoice Report". At the moment the proposed change will remove functionality. We rely on the current Customer Invoice Report to update our cashflow. The proposed "BALANCE" column is not the same as the "DUE" data. "BALANCE" only gives Invoices not paid at end of filtered period rather than what is left to be paid period.
    Alternatively..... DO NOT RETIRE THE CUSTOMER INVOICE REPORT!!!!

  11. In the Reconcile Accounts view it would be great to be able to have a link to the item you are about to reconcile - like the "more info" on the statement side of the reconcile view. Often payments appear to match but it can be hard to tell without seeing the detail on the invoices or payments that have been registered against the invoice.

    Hi Rob, if you click the Find & Match text above the right hand side of the match this'll pop open the Find & Match modal where you can quickly open the invoice in another tab to check it's details.

Please please can you sort your system so that when we are bulk importing our annual jobs that it is possible to import the budget also - I have asked for this for many years but to date nothing has changed. I hope that now that you have finally updated the system, after several years of empty promises, perhaps this is now a possiblity. It is far too time consuming to enter the budget manually with over 1000 jobs and would speed up our invoicing if the budget field was imported instead of having to look elsewhere for the fee.…

  14. In Xero Project it would be useful to create sub teams within the staff. For example, we have different office locations and would like to filter our reports, or view projects by those office locations.

  15. When you look at the PAID invoices it shows years of invoices and would be nice if you could archive previous years. If a person is no longer affiliated with your company and they had previous invoices they cannot be archived but the person can be archived.

    Hi team, thanks for sharing how this idea could make your workflow a little simpler when reconciling. While we're continuing to work on efficiencies to reconciling in Xero, I want to be open that adding the reference field to the main screen is not in our short term plans. We're continuing to stay engaged with the interest from our community across ideas in this space and if there is any news we will share with you, here.

  17. A drop-down list when adding a Task under a project for an Estimated expense or an Expense. We only see a list when we type something. What if we want to see the items in alphabettical order starting with the 1st item?

  19. currently we put all of our mileage through as an expense claim and then make a bath payment once it is a certain amount, however when creating the batch payment, the report produced at the end just simply stated expense claim. this can be clicked to go in individually however it would be nice if the description for that expense could also be shown so that it produces a better overview of what is being paid. even if this is just an option to add different columns that it can be selected from, that would improve things.

  20. I have a particular client where we use tracking categories. We have set up a tracking category called jobs so hours and expenses can be allocated to these jobs. However, errors occur, and it would be great to be able to reallocate find and recode just like you can do with other times to move those hours or expense from one job to another.
