  1. It would be good to be able to filter the Business Snapshot by tracking category and show only income/expenses for each Tracking Category on the dashboard e.g by Department/Region/Product etc.

  2. It would be good if there was a warning if an adviser user inadvertently enters a date in a prior accounting period which has been locked. For example year end is 31 Dec 2022 and a current year bill is entered as 17/11/22 instead of 17/11/23

  3. Currently a Xero customer can chose to include or exclude late claims in a GST Return. What most Xero customers don’t appreciate is if they chose no then the late claim adjustment vanishes until their accountant prepares the year end reports. This can leave a client vulnerable and oblivious to significant errors over the course of a year. In my opinion at the vary least if a client says no then the late claims should be progressed to the next GST period. A phase two development could be providing the option of what adjustments can be included and what should…

  4. A 'select all' feature to approve all unapproved timesheets would be great.
    8 plus years now of having to tick in a tiny box for all my casual/part-time staff is getting a little tedious, especially when a slight error opens the timesheet up and you have to then back out of the page to start all over again.
    It shouldn't be too hard from a coding point of view should it?

I use the History/Notes section to keep track when I'm doing credit control- when I've chased the customer etc, and I now have to copy and paste the email I've sent to them-however, I will often need to send a long communication email which ends up being more than 2500 characters, which means I then have to copy and paste half the email and then the other half, so that they run together-it would be a lot easier if the notes section was able to take more than 2500 characters.

  8. you should be able to confirm your account with a secondary email. I got locked out of my primary email, and Xero thought my normal log in was suspicious. I had not way to confirm my account. I have a secondary email. What is the point of the secondary email if there is no way to use it to confirm my account? Or use my phone for a text confirmation.

  9. On our batch payment printout auditors want someone to sign them off and say they've randomly verified bank accounts. Is there any way to customise the batch payment printout to include:
    1. Random bank accounts verified (with tick box)
    2. Signature area
    3. Name of Person Signing off

  11. Currently the PPL pay item can only be allocated to an expense account.

    This is not in line with the Australian Accounting Standard.

    Can Xero update the ability to allocate to a liability account, please?

  12. Stop autho filling T8 and T9 fields on BAS statements in Xero blue as this creates errors when importing to Xero tax.

    These fields need to be left blank by default. It wastes our time to have to delete the info

    Hi community we appreciate your interest and sharing how we could improve payroll for your business. Each regions payroll has been designed and built separately to meet regional requirements, and taking this into consideration development for being able to view future leave balances would also be worked on separately.

    We have an separate ideas that have been started for this in the AU version, another for NZ payroll, and I'll adjust the title of this idea for UK specifically. We will keep you updated on any progress of this on these ideas.

Would be really useful to have the ability to add Spend or Receive money transactions (overpayments or prepayments) within the mobile app. At p[resent the only options are bank fees or adjustments. So quite often reconciling transactions requiring this type of action need to be left until able to access a full web browser version.

  15. Please allow payments to be made to an employee after they have left and their P45 has been generated. Sage, for example, allows you to include past employees in a pay run and tick a 'payment after leaving' box which gives the correct 0T tax code and produces the correct FPS submission for HMRC. This is a very basic part of payroll that needs to be included in this system, the option to create a new employee file in order to pay them is not complying with HMRC and is not an acceptable alternative.

  16. Hi,

    Could you make the "Tell us what happened" box bigger? It's meant to be used for clients to give Xero detail of the what the issue is.

    It only takes 2 lines at a time and is abit annoying when trying to compile a message and give details.

  17. Better documentation for BankAccountNumber needed.

    The documentation for importing contacts is not clear, specifically how to include banking details.

    First time users, such as myself, could be greatly assisted if the documentation for the BankAccountNumber was described as <bsb><space><account number>.

    I did a large number of documentation and Google searches before it clicked that the BSB and account number are both specified in the BankAccountNumber field. This is not obvious.

Currently, due to the lack of an approval option for a quote (which is a different product idea), I will need to provide the quote creator the right to send quotes directly to customer without reviewing (to avoid having another user to have to login, after being notified per email/whatsapp about the draft created, to review the drafted quote and send to client - very inefficient process). Once I provide an user the right to send quotes, they also have the immediate right to send sale invoices although the approval for a invoice is a non-negotiable. It creates the risk…

  19. Re Xero analytics - AI uses the previous 3 months data to project data. In seasonal industries like agriculture or tourism, that is irrelevant. It would be much more useful to base projections on the same period 12 months ago.

  20. When travel details are entered in expenses capture information that is useful for GHG reporting. This might include details of distance traveled in taxi, uber, flights etc.
