  1. When copying an invoice, we need to be able to copy and paste in the item code without it deleting all of the description, qty and cost.
    You can do this in classic invoicing, but when you do it in the updated invoicing it removes all the data on the line.

Many of my clients are partnerships and trade using the partners initials e.g. J & J Doe but on their reports it displays as %26 and on emails that they are sending with sales invoices, it displays as "& amp;" meaning that when I save reports or they send their invoices, this has to be changed. Having worked in a software house previously, I know that this is a programming issue and one that should have a relatively simple fix so can you please look at this.

  4. I think it would be great to have a screen to manage notifications settings.
    This could present a long list of notifications for different things (e.g. for me the important ones are activity statement due soon, STP filing overdue).
    For each item, the user could select if they want it active, how they want to be notified (e.g. header line, or in a widget), and whether to be emailed (very helpful for people like me who only log in once or twice a week and do a days work).

  6. Automated bank rule reconciliation.

    A choice for a bank rule to be automatically reconciled - once created a option to select if you wish for the bank rule to be reconciled to remove the need for manual reconcile.

    This would be ideal for monthly direct debits and standing orders e.g. bank charges, drawings

  8. The "Review and pay" banner misleads recipients into thinking they can make electronic payments, but we're not using e-invoicing and have it turned off. Another major issue is that it causes significant delays in loading or, in some cases, renders the invoice completely inaccessible. The banner in the new invoicing should be named "Review" rather than "Review and pay" or be editable to suit different needs.

    Hi community, while we appreciate you raising this with us here I want to confirm that there are no plans to bring back the 'I want to be repaid' option in the Xero Accounting app. This option was connected to classic expenses which has been replaced by Xero Expenses where we have a separate app where employees can submit these expense claim type receipts through. If you're not familiar with Xero Expenses just yet, you can find more on this and how to get set up through Xero Central.

  10. It would be great if when a customer receives a quote, it were possible for them to select which items they wanted from the quote and to deselect the ones they didn't want.

  12. As a charity we would really like the ability to be able to have Gift Aid and reporting on Xero, otherwise we would have to get a 3rd party piece of software to run Gift Aid.
    It would be so great to be able to mark on a customers record that they allow us to claim gift aid on the monies they pay to us and then in turn for us to be able to run a report to submit to HMRC of how much Gift Aid we are able to claim from customers in others words extra income from…

    * Saving as draft!
    * New Due Date drop-down selections (e.g. 14 days)

    What I do not like:
    * No "add another invoice" option after save + print PDF, more clicks now
    * When save + print PDF, now opens a new tab that needs closed, more clicks
    * Cannot "copy" the invoice line "item" - I usually create many lines that I used to be able to copy & paste the "item", now more clicks

    We recognise that some things will be different, so we encourage you to spend some time familiarising yourself with the new version. If I want to change the Payment Frequency for Superannuation from quarterly to monthly, I currently have to do it for each and every employee individually, A fair waste of time because there are many employees on the list to change, but I've done it. When it becomes mandatory in 2024 to pay all employees fortnightly, I'm hoping to be able to 'Select All' employees, and select to change the Payment Frequency' from Monthly to Fortnightly. Do you know if this has been discussed or is likely to become an option for us?

  15. Please stop Suppliers Bills from being published in Xero if the bill date is prior to the period lock date!!!!

    I only found out last night that Hubdocs will still publish a supplier bill with a date prior to the Xero lock date, this is crazy and I'm unsure why anyone would want Hubdocs to do this.

    If you could add the option in Hubdocs to stop bills from being published in Xero prior to the lock date that would be awesome as it will ensure the integrity of end of period reports.

  16. It would be really useful to be able to track who made changes to the GST return, including who has reversed a return after it has been filed. If available it would allow a discussion to be had with the relevant person as to why the changes were made - which would save time. A recent example of this is when a GST return was filed and payment of the amount due was made. At a later date the return was then reversed and it is unclear who did this and why.   17. There should be an ability to set up an intercompany account using the bank feed function between businesses that are 'connected'. This would save countless hours manually journalling transactions. You should be able to create a transaction in the bank feed, or mark an invoice as paid by the intercompany account and the corresponding transaction should show on the respective other company.

  18. The Danish Business Authority requires Accounting Systems to be approved by them in order for you to use their system in the country. XERO currently have no plans to get approved by them, I think they should get approval from DBA, and other countries, to enable subsidiaries of Global companies to use the same software as their parent companies.
