Requirement to have flexibility in how Long Service Leave is recorded for Victoria for casual employees who have taken multiple periods of parental leave and unpaid leave so small business is able to record number of weeks and entitlement due date and be able to accrue the entitlement of .80 weeks per year of service (and have that show on their pay). At the moment we are unable to show the employee the entitlement in weeks - only hours. The hours paid per week will be variable depending on when they take the leave so having this flexibility in Xero…

  9. List prepayments separately from "Awaiting payment" report in Dashboard.
    At the moment, prepayments are lumped together with "Awaiting payment" reports in Dashboard. This gives a wrong view of the actual number of invoices that are awaiting payment. Please list prepayments separately on a different line.

    - when using the "copy to draft invoice" function, keep original date from copied invoice and not default to current date.

    Hi Rebecca, I've just amended the title of your idea for your first request. In terms of the second when you're mentioning the input of dates. You should find you can currently enter dates in number format, however you'll need to make sure you keep the '/' or '.' to separate day month and year, alternatively you may find shortcuts help you cut down the time needed to enter your dates here.

  11. New Invoicing - Show ABN details with Client details in the "To" section of the invoice. All other information is there for reference, excluding the ABN.
    To view the ABN details, you need to leave the invoice screen and go to Contacts.

  12. Reduce the lag in items column when searching, it takes too long to search, sometimes up to 4secs! Please also change the location of the pop up message "default contacts have been applied", as when I start a new invoice the pop up message appears in the bottom left, but I'm trying to look at my contact info and enter items. The pop up box lingers too long and covers the information I need to read! This is frustrating every time when creating multiple invoices and I have to "x" the pop up message away each time, which then causes…

    Appreciate your feedback here, we're currently working on some updates to the line item grid where you enter the detail of your invoices and the 'Item' field is located. Part of the work the team are doing in this space should also address issues you've noted in the loading of items when you're invoicing.

  13. Xero advertises 24/7 support. My idea is that this representation is amended to reflect what support is actually offered.

    Xero state that you can "Contact Xero for free and unlimited 24/7 customer support". To most people, the meaning of this representation is that you can communicate in real time with someone from Xero who can help. This is not the case.

    The advertising claim should reflect that, while you can request support at any time, you will only get that support when Xero staff have the time to provide it, based on their triage system.

  14. There is nowhere to report missing features and bugs apart from this forum, which is more for ideas.
    I have found it difficult to find a place to report an issue quickly.
    For new invoicing the list of missing features and bugs should be reported so we can see what has already been picked up and what is being worked on and fixed.

    HI Jill, appreciate you posting here, not knowing where else to go.

    For something that appears to not be working as it should or where you're having performance issues in Xero - these are best to raise with our specialists at Xero Support where we have tools to investigate, triage any issues and escalate with our team if needed.

    When it comes to new invoicing we've communicated a lot of the changes and what's coming up through our Xero central page here. Otherwise, you'll also find many ideas for changes across product ideas here that I'd recommend joining for updates where you're interested. Searching 'New invoicing' on the main page of the site should help you find a list of the different features.

  15. Cancel a Draft Invoice from Invoice Screen (rather than delete which loses the invoice number). Another user made this same suggestion and the Xero response was to hit the delete button and they then closed down the comments/voting option. However, her point was that if you cancel out of the invoice then the invoice number you cancelled out of is still usable, whereas hitting delete means the invoice number is no longer usable. Why has the cancel button been completely removed and only the delete function is now there.

    Appreciate you raising this again, Tom. While it's possible to Delete a draft invoice as new invoicing has autosave built in it's not possible to just cancel out without saving once a contact has been entered.

    We'll keep track of the specific interest for this here, and I have merged the original idea that was created around this in with this one.

  16. Currently there is no discount field on the credit note form which creates a fundamental flaw in the xero system. If you look at the attached invoice report you will notice that all credit note entries have no amounts in the discount column even though they all have discount. This overstates the discount amount when you calculate the total discounts because there are no discount credit amounts to correct the discount. We recommend adding a discount section to the credit notes form to correct this as the report is incorrect without this.

  17. Automated bank rule reconciliation.

    A choice for a bank rule to be automatically reconciled - once created a option to select if you wish for the bank rule to be reconciled to remove the need for manual reconcile.

    This would be ideal for monthly direct debits and standing orders e.g. bank charges, drawings

  18. Can we please add the ability to set up a sub-category under category options?

    For instance, we have already tracking categories by store locations (i.e. Loc 1, Loc 2, Loc 3). However, we need to have a sub-category per Deputy's area (i.e. FOH, BOH) under the store locations.

    Category option: Loc 1 (Store Location)
    Sub-category option: FOH, BOH (Area)

    If we could set up a sub-category under tracking options, that would be great. Thank you!
