    Hi Sharon, recently we released a new feature in Contacts that will enable you to add a note for a contact that can be visible from a contacts record - Right hand panel meaning you could add any detail about contacts that you receive payment from at the time goods & services are supplied in this field. 

    Is this enough to solve your needs here? 🙂

  3. I mistakenly issued some invoices and had to void them. That made our invoice number sequence non-consecutive. This is a problem for my accountant here in Romania because we need to file the voided invoices as justification on using non-consecutive invoice numbers.
    I want to be able to print them as PDFs and the documents to be marked as voided.

  4. Invoices cannot be sent multiple times by e-invoicing - any invoice that was sent by e-invoicing can only be sent again after that by email. This is fine; that ensures that my customers don't have a billion copies of the same invoice in their drafts.

    However, this is also true of invoices where sending by e-invoicing failed and the customer has not received the invoice at all.

    I would like the ability to send by e-invoice to reset when the original attempt fails, because the only workaround I've found involves deleting and recreating the invoice with a new invoice number…

  5. A note of outstanding, unreconciled statement lines before completing a VAT return.

    Currently you click review and can see the VAT return; however, it would be useful to have a box that would flag if there any unreconciled transactions within the VAT period.

    This would help to ensure no transactions are missed when completing a VAT return.

  6. In the new reports you can run a report, by supplier, of invoices that are due and planned to be paid, which is great. There is a differentiation between due and planned in both screen detail and reporting. The schuduled/planning option enables users or managers to plan which invoices they wish to pay either by viewing on Xero or running in a report. However, the reporting option puts the two together by adding in an invoice wiht the same due date, if a planned date has not been entered.     Hi team, thanks for sharing how this idea could make your workflow a little simpler when reconciling. While we're continuing to work on efficiencies to reconciling in Xero, I want to be open that adding the reference field to the main screen is not in our short term plans. We're continuing to stay engaged with the interest from our community across ideas in this space and if there is any news we will share with you, here.

  9. Fixed Asset Schedule report you cannot edit the layout, we would like to be able to edit the layout mostly to insert page breaks.

  10. Invoice setting: There should be the ability to remove the Item Name from the Item column when creating or editing invoices.
    Currently it is not possible to show only the items code.

  11. The old Xero version of Products and Services was really useful, as would show individual pieces costs to 4 decimal places.
    The new version only shows 2 decimal places - we would really like to be able to see the 4 decimal places again!

    The old version was also more user friendly, as you could 'tab' shortcut from one section to another when making adjustments. The new version you need to use your mouse and select everything which takes much longer.

  12. There should be an option to make the description field for users completing their timesheets mandatory. This would enable Project Managers and Finance Managers to view more detailed information other than the number of hours worked on tasks.

    Currently many users do not fill in the description because it is not compulsory, which means that this detail is lost and decisions surrounding resourcing of Projects are not as accurate.

    This is critical to businesses where R&D is a large area and therefore efficient Project Management is key. As this may not be critical to all business using the Projects Module,…

  13. Set up leave so that it automatically tops up at the start of the year with a set amount.
    I have an employee that has an arrangement of xhours per years to be used as they wish. At the start of each year this reverts back to the agreed hours. Any hours not taken during the previous year is cleared.

  14. When we create a bilk of invoices we are stuck with Xero trying each time to allocate an existing Credit Note that will possibly never be allocated. How do we disable this annoying function?

  15. I need to report on employee timesheets against my tracking categories. For example how many hours have employees recorded against Job A, Job B, Job C etc in any given timescale. In the transaction/payroll activity report it only gives £ and not into tracking categories.

  17. Provide functionality in Xero to add attachments to a group invoice.

    Annually when we issue membership
    subscriptions there are a number of attachments that need to be included with the invoice, this is currently a manual process. Adding the sane attachments to over 80 invoices is time consuming and tedious.

    Given Xero has this functionality already, it should be expanded to include the functionality of adding attachments when creating an invoice o a contact group.

    Appreciate your feedback here, everyone. While we've recently released contact group invoicing with new invoicing, the ability to attach and send an attachment has not changed for the time being.

    Contact Group invoicing will only create draft invoices for the contacts within that group, so you'll need to attach any documents to the individual invoices that are created and select to include these with the invoice when sending.

    We'll continue to review this idea as a future enhancement, and I'll let you know if there are any changes planned, here.

  18. Only allow people with limited access to Projects to see their own hours/project, not the total hours billed to any project. The total hours are really none of their business.

  20. Actual vs Accrued Leave on Payslips
    A report to support this leave
    Employees are submitting leave as per there payslips and have no knowledge that this is not actual leave. They may not have been with our company 12 months or it's accured leave which only becomes actual on their anniversary. We are finding some of our employees with negative leave balances, which causes both confusion and problems on them leaving.
