Contacts - Show information on one page
The edit contact format has recently been changed and I now have to click through multiple tabs to edit and view contact info. This is much more time consuming. I would like to be able to edit and view all contact info on one page.
Hi all, returning now a few weeks on from our last update, we’re going to move this idea to Delivered! ✅
You'll now find a single page for editing contact details, with the added benefit of using the tab selections on the left panel to go directly to your chosen section on the contacts add/edit page.

You can still right click on the word "bill", or hold ctrl and left click the same word, to open it in a new tab. Doesn't work on the rest of the page though.

I should caveat by saying my credit controller actually thinks it's a good thing because she didn't like the layout with o/s at the top and everything else below, but I've lost the ability to right click on a bill and open in a new tab which means clicking in and out of bills all the time rather than being able to click open it and have a quick look and revert back to the main screen. I also can't figure out how to get back to the full activity screen with all the paid bills once I've clicked into the bills to pay balance. It looks like I have to back out of the contact and go back in? Whoever did the user journey on this has no idea how anyone actually uses this system. -

This new layout is awful and very time consuming. Previously we could:
- See only outstanding invoices at the top (I do not care about a whole history of paid invoices on the screen)
- The graph showing the history of payments made it easy to identify if payments have been missed, this graph seems to have dissapeared completely.
- We note remits that have been received, where as previously we could see the note with the outstanding invoice we now have to scroll through all invoices or go to the next tab to open up the notes. -

While I love that the notes are in a separate area, I miss seeing how many days overdue an invoice is, I have had to change our entire debtors letter based around this.
Another vital aspect is quickly seeing when payments came in and for how much they were, it previously showed as a bar chart - now I have to scroll and search for payments in and out rather than the overview, which was so helpful! -

Hi Kelly, Could you please let me know if Xero is looking to add a phone number field for each contact name inside a main contact, at the moment, we can only add an email for each contact within the main contact, which is obviously not practical. Thanks Joana

@Kai Probably you use Google Chrome for the web browser I suppose. It may be caused by the Chrome updates. I got this too, so annoying.
Xero seemed to be saying "if you can't stand the heat,get out of the kitchen".

Not really enjoy it as the investment you put in. Anyway, can you please check why the page keeps having loading errors and leading to a wrong page after the new outlay come into force? Any possible solution for that?
It feels like the system performs badly.

I can't believe that after click click click multiple tabs - gate, which got so toxic they shut down the idea.....they rolled out the new customer contacts page, which is again click click click on multiple tabs again....................... This really shows they don't care about their user's feedback at all, this forum is just for show

Belinda - yes I am still using physical remittance - SO Frustrating!.
Bianca - that was my exact comment to my co-workers. I like that we now have a place to put account notes (vs in the "history" that scroll way down) but now that its under a tab, its causing us issues as well. Wish it was part of the top banner showing all times like the address, phone & email are. There is plenty of room up there on the right to add the notes to be visible at all times along with their terms. I mean its showing the group for petes sake, why not show financial terms and notes, which to us are more important on "home screen" vs using a tab.

I also LOVE that the notes are now separate again. It was one of my biggest bugbears after "contactsgate" came into effect a couple of years ago. SOOOO glad it's finally been sorted :-)
That being said, the first thing I normally look for BEFORE I add an invoice, is whether my contact is on 30 day account, or on a 0 day "proforma" account. This used to easily visible on the main page at a glance. Now it has been hidden in a tab that I need to click into every time I go to a new customer contact. Please can you fix this before rolling out the new changes! Thanks
