AU Payroll - Full data import for Employees
Enable full data import from external data source (say CSV) for all emplolyee data not just basic data. That would allow organisations with more staff to easily migrate to XERO without having to manually re-enter significant volumes of data.

AU Payroll - Line item breakdown of payslips - YTD
Hi, It would be great if payslips line items match the 'pay template' pay items or alternatively, for pay items that have a YTD amount to be shown on all payslips (with the Nil or $amount for the current pay period as applicable with the YTD) to breakdown 'Other Previous Earnings'.

AU Payroll - No TFN entered for employee notification
When an employee onboards and doesn't have a Tax File Number (TFN) either because they are new to Australia and have just applied for one or they are under 18 and exempt. Xero should have a feature that warns you when they either turn 18 or they have passed the 28 days allowed to work without a TFN and it should automatically change their tax declaration to no TFN provided and change the tax withheld rate, until a TFN is provided. AU Payroll - Changes in Employee Superfund ABN, USI number etc
AU - Compulsory Employee Super When a Employee Superfund changes ABN, USI number, merges with another fund.
The only solution at moment is to export the employee data into a file and save it. Then deactivate the Superfund. The problem is if you have a query on these past transactions you cannot do it through Xero. AU Payroll - Add negative reimbustments to pay templates
I want a negative Reimbursement line item in the Employee Template.
This can be done in a Payrun, but cannot be done in the Employee Template screen.
With STP 2 we have some payroll reimbursement entries that need to be processed every pay. They need to be positive and negative entries so that the Wages Payable account does not go out of balance. This can be done in a payrun - why not in the Employee Pay Template. A deduction item would function the same as the negative reimbursement line, as well as being able to be added into the employees pay template.
It'd be good to understand more if there's a reason using a deduction wouldn't be adequate here.

AU Payroll - Separate Leave Loading from Annual Leave on final pay
If in a 'normal' pay run an employee takes Annual Leave then Leave loading is shown as a separate line item - clear to the payroll person and the employee. However in a Final Pay run it does not show. Being consolidated with the leave sum is not obvious. Please keep to the 'normal' format, then it's clear to everyone

AU Payroll - Option to select non reportable allowance
Could Xero start looking at a drop down box on the allowance to have one as Not Reportable (alongside the other catagories eg. Meals, Tools, Car), and to have it out for STP reporting? or another checkbox down the bottom along with the withholding tax, super, and W1 questions?

AU Payroll - Allow STP filings to be sent to client for approval
Automation of Approval for STP filing.
The ATO requires approval from the client for every STP filing. I would like to see in the Xero/Payroll/Pay Employees/Payrun/Pay Run Options/ drop down menu (where the current options of Download ABA, Email Payslips, and Revert to Draft to also include an option to send approval request to xx@***.com for approval to lodge STP F. It would be good for a copy of the Payroll Activity Details be sent to the client, with the request for approval.

It can be run for a specified date range and will show the date the changes were made, what the changes were, the employee affected and the user who made the changes.

AU Payroll - Prompt Payroll Admin to update leave accruals when changing pay calendars
When a company changes their payroll frequency to a new calendar there is no prompt to adjust the leave accrual.
For instance, I recently changed my client from Fortnightly to Monthly Calendar.
I adjusted each employee to the new calendar.On their Leave tab in the set-up of the leave accrual it asked the question:
Hours a full-time employee works in a Fortnightly pay period
When I changed the calendar to monthly this question changed to:
Hours a full-time employee works in a Monthly pay period

I would like to be able to firstly differentiate my payroll journals from other journals and then produce an end of year report of the payroll journals.

AU Payroll | Timesheet - Update time in lieu balance
The current option available for updating the time in lieu of XERO is to previously inform the fixed number of hours that will be added to the leave balance in the leave register. However, the number of hours varies each week, so I cannot predict in advance how many hours each employee will work.
My suggestion includes an automatic update from the time in lieu of using a timesheet. Thus reducing the probability of errors by entering the balance manually.

I think it would be a good idea to facilitate the location of payroll reports. Please could you create a link to payroll journals within the payroll "journal reports".

AU Payroll - Customise and edit details on dashboard
Payroll Overview Dashboard - Can you please make this editable so that it can be customised to what details we want to see at an easy glance? Also the Calendar populates all 'holidays/public holidays' regardless of what state/country you're in. This should be customisable so that you can opt to only have your relevant holidays shown.

Ability to a total of all employees gross wages, and download figures for each individual employee with the total lodged with the ATO.

6 votesHi everyone, appreciate this idea has come from the prior Feature requests forum and to explain what is currently available - You can export a .CSV with all employee detail before finalisation.
From the STP Finalisation screen, select the check box at the top of the list for all employees - at the bottom of the page you'll see an Export .CSV option become visible, so you can view all the payment information before it's sent across to the ATO.

AU Payroll - Director allowance remuneration report
Now that directors fees are considered allowances, they don't show up in the employee remuneration report because that is for OTE only.
I would greatly appreciate being able to include directors on the remuneration report because the board asks for total remuneration on a monthly basis.6 votes
