  2. it is very difficult to manually add a " pay template " every time when a new employee is added, so is there any shortcut for that? because when we have more joining every day then it is very difficult to manually add every time ordinary rate and overtime rate and other things again and again in a pay template. please update XERo as soon as possible.

  3. Please give us the option to make Tracking Groups a mandatory selection on the Employee tab before Xero users can save a new employee. This will stop users from setting up new employees & forgetting to assign the Employee Group tracking group which results in misreporting

    Hi team, while we appreciate your feedback and why you'd like to make this field mandatory not all businesses use tracking for payroll. We want to be upfront that we don't have any plans for making the employee groups field mandatory.

  4. Xero has removed the ability for casual employees to apply for annual leave if that leave is available to them. Annual leave is part of my casual employees employment contracts. The employees and I have agreed that they will receive annual leave and sick leave.

    These leave types were catered for in the past and the employees were able to apply for them when required. Now, despite still accruing those leave types, they are unable to apply for them.

  5. I want to be able to archive or delete old, previously processed timesheets. In the timesheets section, processed timesheets from 2018 continually rise to the top and it is annoying and time consuming to always change the sorting order to find the most recent, or filter via a start date. This is all annoying. I want to remove old or previously processed timesheets from this list, or at the very least, have recent timesheets/those waiting to be processed automatically listed at the top.

  6. Need to be able to remove a leave type for employees. Ie an employee is entitled to 4 weeks annual leave p.a.. They have renegotiated their contract and are now entitled to 5 weeks AL p.a. I've set up a new leave type to accrue 5 weeks p.a. for this employee and asked that they use this option when submitting future requests. I have changed the AL 4 week code to No Calculation for this employee, however it still appears as an option when they request leave. I would like to remove this as an option because they…

  9. Until this month, this was not an issue. However this month Xero has taken away the ability to send the superannuation SMS authorisation code to international numbers. What happens when you change a number or move overseas but still work for the company. Why take this away? Without discussion with your customers. If it's not broken, why is Xero trying to fix it?

  10. Have the ability to create a leave request on behalf of an employee without approving it as Payroll Admin, and then submit the request to the Leave Approver for that employee.

    I know the second option is Payroll Activity Details report. However, when I download this report in excel, the Pay item type is under the employee column i.e not separated.

  12. For employees who use Xero My Payroll, if you are a Payroll Admin user, you can grant employees authority to approve leave. The option for Timesheet approval should also be there, it is available in other countries but not NZ.

  13. Hi Xero Team,

    I’ve noticed that Xero currently doesn’t support applying mixed tax brackets within the same pay run for Working Holiday Makers (WHM). For example, if an employee is set to receive $2,000 in one pay cycle, and the $45,000 threshold is reached after the first $1,000, the first $1,000 should be taxed at 15%, and the remaining $1,000 at 30% — both within the same pay cycle, using mixed tax brackets.

  14. When receiving a superannuation bounce back amount, it would be really great to be able to click into a Superannuation Payment Details batch that has been processed and export to Excel, to be able to search and calculate totals to match the bounced back super.

  15. Ex Employees older than 5 years cannot be deleted. Data still contains payslips. Old data can be overwritten but payslips remain and employee cannot be deleted because Xero thinks it is in a payrun. This is a cyber security breach as old data of ex employees can still be accessed and cannot be deleted.

  16. When adding new Pay Items in Australia, Reportable as W1 should be ticked as a ticked as the default as the vast majority of Pay Items in Australia are Reportable under W1.

    Every time the award changes and we import pay items from Deputy, the new items have Reportable as W1 turned off and we have to manually change them.

    Changing the Xero default may or may not fix that problem but it should be the default nonetheless.

  17. In the employee card under pay template be able to organise the earnings rates in the order we prefer. For example have employees working overtime, saturday sunday and monday to friday. Being able to put the earnings in alpahbetical; order not how it is saved by Xero.

  18. Ability to restrict which pay items an employee can view in Xero Me to only those that apply to that employee. Without this ability employees sometimes choose pay items that do not apply to them. Most often this is picked up at the authorisation stage but why allow the possibility for error in the first place.

  19. I've just set up a salary sacrifice for a cycle to work scheme in payroll. However there isn't an end date in Xero so I have to manually diarise a date to stop the salary sacrifice for the employees. Please could a box be added to automate this.
