    Hi all, I wanted to share that while there's no export option on the Account Transactions screen itself, it is possible to export a list of unreconciled Account Transactions with the Business Bank Account Reconciliation Summary report. If you export a copy of this to Excel you'll find the sections for Plus Outstanding Payments and Less Outstanding Receipts which are the unreconciled account transactions. Hope that helps 😊

  3. When in account transactions (or any report where you can select a date range) have a button to move that date range one month forwards or one month back.

    For example if you have the date range selected as 01.08.2022-31.08.2022 have a backwards button that would change this automatically to 01.07.2022- 31.07.2022 or a forwards button that would change this to 01.09.2022-30.09.2022 without having to go in and manually change the date to every month.

    This would be very helpful when doing detailed reconciliations on a monthly basis so you can move between the months much quicker. I know you…

  4. When setting up a contact, it would be useful to be able to add a new tracking category directly in the contacts screen. If I forget to add a new tracking category to my existing list first and go to add a new contact then the tracking category isn't there. I then need to change menus in order to set up the tracking category and then go back and edit my contact to include it. I think it would be a good feature.

  5. Invoice and bill due dates to default to issue date.

    As above. Basically when you enter the initial date of an invoice or a bill, the due date defaults to the date you have entered. This will save additional data entry if your dates are the same.

    In the case of a franchise where Remits are sent via a supporting booking software, the invoice/bill due date is always the same as the issue date.

    Hi Adam, there are a couple of options here including the suggestion that Geoff's provided. 🙂

    Right now, within Invoice Settings you can set a default for the Due Date, this could be based on the invoice issue date if you choose.

    It's also possible to set a due date for an individual contact within their contact record.

    Is there any way you could integrate the photos I put on my Starling Bank account of receipts I receive for purchases for my business account, so that I don't have to enter them twice, once on Starling and once on Xero.
    I realise this is not an option, as it's not happening, but the notes I add do come through, so could the photos too?
    In this new digital paperless world, it would be good not to have to keep every receipt and have to remember to photograph it twice. Hubdoc doesn't help, because you still…

  7. It would be handy to be able to customize the view screen on the contacts screen within Xero. Ie add additional columns - a payment column? It would be a lot easier to have a visual of payments received rather than having to click on the invoice or run a statement against the client to see when payment was last received / paid. It would also be handy to have an item column that includes payments. As well as an option to reconfigure the column order, Ie. Date in first column.

  8. Suppliers that have a foreign currency default on their account should show the balance owing to them in that currency and not in gbp. This is very confusing for users who are not familiar with xero or experienced in accounts. Another colleague of mine paid the amount owing on their supplier account thinking it was USD as the supplier invoices in USD only and that is their default currency, however it shows as owing in GBP, therefore the incorrect amount was paid to them?

    Thanks for your feedback, Christine. Appreciate how this could help though I want to be upfront that we don't have plans for changing this atm. 

    It would help in passing on your feedback to the right team to know if there is a specific area in Xero that you'd most commonly view the balance owing to your supplier - e.g would this be within their contact record, or do you run a particular report to view multiple supplier balances at once? 

  9. With Customers statements it would be amazing if it could default to todays current date as it is always retrospective and eg today it automatically defaults to 31.03.2023 it would be so much easier to adjust back than forwards all the time .

  12. To have an account overdue notice pop up on invoice screen once customer name is entered. If a customer has an outstanding account - the reminder and amount overdue to pop up as a bit of a warning to the owner whether they should be continuing to do business with this customer, or at least until the account is settled. (I believe reckon account have this feature available and at my previous employment we found this to be most useful)

  14. Hi,

    Our employees work standard hours each day, but in addition to this there are often additional items on their timesheets, such as overtime, trip and overnight stay bonuses.

    The use of timesheet templates simplifies this process by automating the inputting of their standard hours, though due to the remote nature of their work timesheets are being submitted through the mobile application which does not allow the uploading of templates.

    Can the ability to upload templates be added to the mobile app or a default template be added when creating a new timesheet?

  15. Please fix the Account setting for the Log in to preference so that it works as advertised.
    Currently the option to log in to "The organisation I was last in" does NOT work as advertised. It will log me in to a seeminly random organisation from the list of my organisations.
    I believe that it is logging me into the "Last organisation that ANYONE was in"

    Hi community, returning back to this idea and connecting with product we've found users in the same situation have often accessed Xero from a saved bookmark.

    If you're still running into the same and have saved a bookmarked URL to access Xero we'd recommend removing this, and going to my.xero.com, or login.xero.com to login to Xero.

    If the issue persists it's really best for our specialists at Xero Support to investigate further. You can reach them by raising a case through Xero Central.

Currently after we assigned billable expenses to a customer and subsequently when we create a new invoice with the billable expenses, noted that the tracking category named Projects as well as account code are not auto-fill. We need to fill in manually which is time-consuming, imagine there are 100 items in the invoice.

    It will be very helpful and save time if the account and project code will be auto-fill in the invoice. We really appreciate your support and looking forward this can be implemented. Thank you!

  17. It would be really helpful to be able to group bank accounts in a similar way to grouping Contacts. We have multiple currency accounts and base currency accounts as well as credit cards and to be able to group them in different ways would make checking them much easier. Eg group into GBP Current Accounts, Currency Accounts, Cash Currency Accounts, All Cards etc

  18. I would like to see the specifics of the contacts activity on the main page of the contact. Currently you need to click on each transaction to see where the transaction was allocated. It would be nice to see it all on one page. It would be helpful if it was editable from that page as well. Instead you have to click again to edit the transaction. Currently in Quickbooks you can view/edit from the main client screen. I always appreciate less clicks. :D

  20. The ISO 3166 country name for "United Kingdom" is "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (the)", which is 58 characters. We are currently unable to use this name for our contacts as Xero throws an error (both in the UI and API).

    Please consider increasing the country name maximum length to at least 60 characters.
