  2. When an overpayment is entered while reconciling the bank transaction, the reference we enter while creating overpayment transaction should appear in the reference tab while applying the credit to an invoice.

    Hi everyone, as much as we appreciate the feedback and interest of being able to receive a notification of whether an invoice has successfully sent. The team priority right now is around the body of the invoice within Xero. 

    We want to be transparent in this here and will move the status of the idea back to submitted.

  4. Need option to display supplier bank details when running the supplier payments bank report. Key for bank approvers to easily verify bank details for supplier payments.

    This isn't something we have planned at present but will get a sense of the appetite here and let you know if there's any change. 

  5. Currently, to invoice from a quote = a standard invoice. There needs to be an option to create an repeating invoice also. This is consistent with the request to change a standard invoice into a repeating invoice also.

  6. Both Xero and XPM really need to have the ability to override the GST calculated by 1c either way to fix the GST rounding errors that continually occur. This would be more efficient than having to add a Cost rounding adjustment in XPM of 1c to have it then import to Xero showing this rounding adjustment on a separate line which then needs to be altered before sending to the clients. Having to do this for hundreds of invoices is very inefficient.

  7. Send an email when a draft invoice (or bill) is created automatically.
    When a draft invoice is created automatically, I want to be notified. By definition/design, it needs human attention before getting approved and issued. So I would like a human to be told it has happened.

    We appreciate the interest in more customisation when sending documents from Xero, everyone. Currently in the space of new invoicing we have recently released a new send modal that enables the use of rich text formatting, and allows you to cc and Bcc emails.


    Currently this is limited to send of invoices with new invoicing only, however over time we will look at expanding this to other areas of Xero that you can send from. I'll keep you updated of any further enhancements surrounding this, here.

  9. I want to be able to merge a customer's business registration number onto a custom invoice template.

    There is a field for this in the database but no merge field available.

  10. When a credit note is approved, the next page that pops up is the Allocate Credit Balance screen. This screen does not state who the customer/supplier is, and when creating multiple credits, it can be hard to recall who each one is to. It would be great to have the Allocate Credit Balance screen displaying the contact of the credit (the reference would also be great, but I have already voted for that one separately).

    With the new invoicing re-vamp this would be a great opportunity to increase the information on the Allocate Credit Balance screen too.

  11. Recipient-Created Tax Invoices (RCTI) are a normal thing in some industries. Xero is not set up to create them; instead we have to do a workaround with purchase orders.

    I'd like to not have to use the workaround.

    The workaround consists of:
    - creating RCTI branding themes
    - creating a purchase order for each entity needing RCTIs
    - edit that purchase order with the new details every time creation of an RCTI is needed (so in labour hire this can be every week for each contractor)
    - send the purchase order to the entity needing the RCTI (editing the email…

  12. We would like to know which invoices or contacts are not set up to collect payments via Direct Debit from GoCardless, so we can proactively target them to move to Direct Debit. Whilst Xero knows this information, they've confirmed there's no way to report on it and it will be very helpful to have

Auto-reconciliation for transactions and invoices/bills - I appreciate that the manual reconciliation is to allow for oversight and management of transactions, but when you have several thousand transactions in a month, reconciling them all is very tedious, especially when 99% of them is just clicking "OK" after checking that the names/references match!

    Auto-reconciliation would be an amazing timesaver, even if it was just for transactions where the references or customer names onn payment and invoice/bill match. Please consider adding this!

  14. Would like to be able to have adjustable columns on an invoice that I can change what they fill with. Right now an Invoice only has Item as a field. I would like to be able to change from Item to Account. That way I can have one payer and list several clients in the invoice without typing them all in. For instance, if a field was labeled Client Account # or something then I could set up the list with my clients or pull them up from contacts, and just select the clients account number, it would prefill a…

    Hi Laura, hen you say you'd have one payer - would this be a customer or someone internal in your organisation? 

    It still sounds like untracked inventory could work here - for example each 'client' would be set up as an  untracked item, you could select clients using the Item column of the invoice and this would auto populate pre saved data such as the account number which could be referenced in the description column, and monthly service for the account. 

  15. Hi Xero.
    Currently, User's with Invoice Only Access can only approve invoices and bills. However they are unable to remove a payment (or part thereof) from an invoice.

    This is a problem if the User accepts a payment, then realises that there is an error on the invoice, as they are then unable to remove the amount and fix the invoice.
    It would be great if these User's could have this ability without having access to the business bank accounts

  16. When purchasing product from clients we issue them with a hand-written Buyer Created Invoice on farm & then need to input this into Xero as a bill payment. But this doesn't show that it was a buyer created invoice. Please can this option be added

  17. If you send an Invoice per mail to a client, a credit note that is linked to the invoice should be attached to the mail with the invoice too.
    Currently, you have to send two separate mails.
    If you send an invoice, you have several check boxes like "add invoice as pdf". There should be the option "add credit not as pdf".

  18. We like the discount column on Customer Invoices.
    We love being able to copy Customer Invoices to Bills.

    But what happens to the discount when we copy a customer invoice to a supplier bill? It appears in the total but it doesn't appear anywhere on the bill and it's impossible to edit or remove unless the entire discounted item is removed and added.

    I've spent many confused hours wondering why the bill doesn't add up.

    Even a flag to state that there is a hidden discount would be an improvement.

  19. I need 'Invoice Value Discounting' where we provide a discount on nett price and a different percentage is applied dependant on the net amount. For example 5% applied on invoice of 250, 7.5% over 500, 10% over 750, etc. You would set these up in a table and you can decide which clients have IVDs

If you have multiple invoices for the same client, a feature that allows you the option to automatically apply bank transactions receiving money from the client to the oldest invoices first moving closer to date would be mighty helpful. At the current moment, we have to manually split out each transaction to the invoices when reconciling bank transactions; it stands to reason that if you have a client with multiple invoices and they pay off in chunks, you would want to apply payments to their oldest debt first; having this as a selectable option for a contact / bank rule…
