  1. To be able to add notes, to explain why Xero has imported an amount to the feed with a different date to the actual bank statement for example. I have to be able to explain to our accountant why the Xero bak balance is different to the bank statement. It shouldn't do this anyway but it does and I have no way of logging this date error. And add attachments (ie actual bank statements) to a published bank reconciliation, you can upload docs to any transaction but not the actual reconciliation??

  3. Report to see when a customer account was opened/set up. When conducting customer credit account reviews it would be handy if there was a report to see what date a customer account was set up. So you are only reviews accounts that have been opened for a year. At the moment the only way to see when an account was set up is to look at the notes/history on each individual account.

  5. In Xero it is possible to add notes to spend money and receive money transactions, however, this field is missing for imports. The import documentation doesn't show a notes field:

    The Description and Reference fields are intended to be from the bank statement, however, Xero has a notes function once you enter a spend or receive money. That's where I want to add a note during import.

  6. Currently in Payroll History you can filter activity by Type and select 'Employees'.

    This is too broad to be able to easily pick up bank account changes. eg for 1 month there are 959 entries over 4 pages (which need to be manually clicked to load).

    The entries have the type of 'Employee: Bank Accounts'

    Features requested ;
    1) Add a 'Subtype' filter for Employee events; of which 'Bank Accounts' should be an option.
    2) Add ability to Export the report to PDF from initial screen without having to load all the other items.

  7. There is currently no record of changes to User registrations in the xero file. This is a failure of audit processes.
    A description for each user would be handy to identify the role of each person within the Organisation.
    A start and End date would allow for Temporary access arrangements.

  8. Bank Reconciliation - Having a Reconciled By column.
    It would be very helpful to have a column in the bank account transactions screen that shows who reconciled the transaction. I have a client who thinks they are helping by reconciling their own transactions only to get most of them wrong. If there was a column showing the reconciler then I would very quickly be able to ascertain the transactions i need to review by running a history and notes report for that period.

  10. Currently, in the Automatic Sequencing setting, the invoice & credit note share the same number sequence. However, for tracking purpose, we prefer to have a separate number sequence for credit notes. Therefore, would like to request an additional 'Next Number' field for credit note, which can come with an option to share or not to share the number sequence with invoice.

  11. I want to be able to add notes to rules I setup, but I don't want to use the description field as that shows on the books. I like to know why I chose not to set a tax rate on a rule, or if the business owner has told me something specific about a re-occurring transactions that they may not always provide a receipt for. I would like to have something to look back at so that I understand why I set it up as I did. Hopefully that makes sense?

  12. When looking at the Pay Run / Pay Run History page, please add number of employees in each pay run to the overview. We report on this each pay period and would make more sense to be shown here then having to click into the pay run or

  13. Can we please have the ability to see if a note has been added to a document when you are in the Hubdoc APP without having to go into a document.

    The ability to see this is available in the Web version, would be great to see it in the APP as well.

  14. Could we have the ability to add the amount paid to a Deduction.

    (A staff member messaged me the other day asking if the $450 showing on his pay slip was the amount he had left to pay for tools deductions or the amount he had paid. After checking I saw it was the amount he had paid and he has $468.93 left to pay.)

    Q: Is there any way to add the amount he has left to pay for tools to the pay slip.

    Hi everyone, we understand why people would want to be able to apply a credit note within a locked period however we wanted to provide more context on the purpose of lock dates and reasons for the way they work at present.

    Basically put lock dates prevent users making changes to the accounting records prior to the lock date. Their role is to prevent unintended changes which would alter reporting outcomes be they financial reports, VAT/GST/Sales Tax reports etc. Lock dates ensure financial data is accurate and trustworthy.

    When a credit note is allocated to an invoice the allocation date is dated the later of the two documents, the first day where both exist. Credit note allocations require creating journals on both a cash and accrual basis, which is why if both the invoice and the credit note are in a locked period, the allocation can’t be done. Those journals…

  17. Instead of tying in the amounts, what about adding a tick box next to the value where you can select the full amount shown and only if a lesser amount is to be used then have to type in the value.

  19. Just looked at the new Aged Payable report > Aged Payables Detail - it doesn't show credit notes which been allocated to invoices. This is very confusing as we can't reconcile against the statement. Please review the report and add in credit notes, even if they have been allocated to the Invoices, or advise which report I need to use when reconciling the account.
