  1. When a leave request comes in for approval and the employee can take leave in advance (the box is ticked), it should show you how many hours the employee has available. This amount should be the number available minus the leave balance that has already been approved in the system. The leave balance report is only useful when employees can't take leave in advance in their first year.   2. Ability to have separate fields for posting date and invoice date.

    Purpose: To make users can ensure the expense is recorded in the appropriate month (posting date), and the due date is properly calculated (invoice date).

  3. The most important information in the statement line is usually at the end of it, the bit that is always hidden. I've been asking for this since 2019. Its a bit frustrating to see that the statement lines in the Reconciliation tab are now showing some kind of machine-generated guess about what the purchase is, when people have been asking for ages for the full statement line to be shown. Can anyone explain why Xero is so reluctant to do this simple thing?

  4. When operating tracking income and expenses in two areas, payroll allows for the primary tracking category when setting up the employee and the time sheet allows the secondary tracking option to be selected.

    Currently the timesheet option only allows for the 'hours worked' to be allocated to the secondary tracking option. Any allowance can only be added at the pay run which means it cannot be added to the secondary tracking category.

    Can we have the ability to add allowances as an option in the timesheet?

  5. It is really basic, the permission control is not flexible and give more options. How about to give multiple choosing box for permissions. I want to create a user and give him permission to create and print quotations and a purchase order permission to create and submit for approval. Because the purchase approval permission i want to give to the manager levels only.

  7. In the account transactions report, the reference for batch deposits (of invoices) should be the payment reference.

    Currently, the individual invoice numbers are presented for batch deposits when you run account transactions.

  9. Client uses Xero Expense App - then tag in Customer as "billable" expense but the actual receipt does not attach to the invoice. Client need to drill back into each expense claim, download the receipt then attached to invoice. Also limited to 7MB - not enough.

    Billable expenses is a great feature but could be even better for small businesses needing to on-charge to their customers.

  12. Unscheduled payruns - the ability to not include pending leave. When processing bonuses etc, Xero automatically puts in the up coming leave even though it is not appropriate to be included in this unscheduled payrun and should be in the standard payrun. Because we pay monthly this only exacerbates the situation. To have the option to not include the leave in that payrun would help with this.

When adding a new contact if you use account numbers (which is important to use as a primary key for records) it would be really good if a autogenerated number was assigned as a default (like it does with an invoice number etc.). Currently you have to remember/check what the last account number you've used was.

  14. To be add the job title of a primary person and additional person in a contact details.
    Xero is not a CRM but to manage the invoicing and bills relationship with contact, it could be great to know the position of the person on the other side.
    It could be a great add-on as to know to whom we are addressing our email in the contact company.

  15. It would be good if payroll reports could be customised, i.e. after making a change to an existing report, such as Gross To Net report, the new template could be saved as a Custom Report.

    At the moment, it isn't possible to save the updated format, so I have to make the same changes to the standard report every month.

  16. Could we include a notification when a staff member has a birthday? This has multiple benefits including allowing us to check if their award salary or benefits need to change and also be able to congratulate them on their birthday. Surely it wouldn't be a huge change to make but would be a unique and helpful change for many SME as I currently need to create a new Google calendar for staff birthdays, creating additional work especially when we have 50+ staff and low retention in hospitality. Thank you.

  17. Please re-work the Employee Contact Details report to include ALL of the information available in the employee bulk upload template and in the same format. Also add email address to the bulk upload format as it is already in the Employee Contact Details report.

    When a client undergoes a restructure, the employees must be copied into the new file. It is EXTREMELY time consuming to type it all.

    You have the start of a great export/import ability, it just needs a little bit of attention and it would be perfect.

  19. Xero Projects seems a bit backwards to me, you create project then can create or link a quote. It would be far better if you could create a a project from an accepted quote.
    ie. Quote customer for job > Customer accepts quote > Mark quote as accepted and create project.
