  1. All individual Clients created should automatically be added as a contact and that contact should by linked to the client record. If you change the client detail that "new" contact that is linked should be auto updated. (in short an individual customer/contact is not "duplicated"). If you send mails from a job you can then use that client automaticly as a contact and do not have to create a contact

    Hey Louis, thanks for bringing this up! Having client info in both the Partner Hub and your practice contacts gives you flexibility, but it would be even smoother if updates could flow automatically between them.

    Right now, exporting your client list from the Hub and importing it into your practice contacts is a simple way to refresh records in bulk. It’s a handy way to keep everything up to date.

    We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so the product team can see how helpful a more connected, unified experience would be for Partners.

  2. For boxes that we are typing into, we need to expand the box, so we can see the full view, not a scrolling box that cuts information off. In the normal XPM, you can grasp the corner and expand it out. Please bring this back.

    Hi Glennis, after looking into this further, it sounds like this relates to the Notes field within a client’s record.

    At the moment, the field expands as you type, but after several lines it stops expanding and instead introduces a scroll bar. This means reviewing and updating notes involves additional scrolling, particularly when working with a lengthy note.

    This idea has now been updated to Gaining Support, and we’d encourage others in the community to share their thoughts, use cases, or vote if this would be valuable for them too. Thanks again for starting the conversation, your input helps shape future improvements.

  3. It would be great to see which clients still needed their GST returns filed by a specific due date. This way we could preempt any returns not filed before the due date.

    Right now we're gauging interest from the community here but I'll let you know if there are any updates coming that'd help with this view for you.

  4. The ability to create or show BAS statements in the tax manager would be good - you used to be able to create them from the tax tab but now I have to go into the client themselves and click create. Or just some way to make this easier overall - whether you have a BAS section in the Tax Manager, or a create statement button up the top.

    Appreciate the feedback, Ben. We'd like to track the interest in this spelling through your idea here. Both ways of spelling this are correct and 'lodgments' currently aligns with how ATO's spelling of this.

  6. Please add "Search Function" under the client Jobs - same as in the job manager in order to search for specific "current" and "archived" jobs, the sort function is not sufficient.

    Hi Kat, thank you for the suggestion! A shortcut to your enabled practice organisation could cut down on repetitive clicks and speed up everyday tasks. We understand that partners often need quick access, so a single-click option makes sense.

    For now, the closest workaround is the Organisation Switcher’s “Recent” list or a browser bookmark for your practice dashboard. These give faster access while the homepage doesn’t yet have a dedicated button.

    We’ve moved this idea to ‘Gaining Support’ so our product team can track interest in a direct shortcut from the homepage.

  8. The returns ready to start from the ATO list need to also contain clients on ATO list not in xero tax so that we can use this list as our master list to clean up ATO clients/add new ones that may have been missed.

    Hi team, we can see how having the Ready to Start list in Tax Manager to include ATO clients missing from XPM/Xero Tax could make cross checking your clients list more efficient. Using this list as a single source to clean up or add missed clients sounds like a practical way to reduce extra steps.

  10. A way to update how many hours left per week are shown on the dashboard would be good. I know a lot more people work flexibly, and this way they could see how many hours below the total required they are (e.g. 38 hours per week). Just makes it easier when you're managing time during the week

    I’ve had a look through your suggestion, and I can definitely see how a "hours remaining" tracker would be a huge help for those of us balancing flexible schedules.


    I’ve assessed your post against our community criteria and have moved it to Gaining Support. This means other members can now vote on it and share their own feedback, which helps our product teams understand the demand for this feature.


    To make it easier for others to find and support your idea, I’ve updated the title slightly to: Dashboard - Weekly hours remaining widget


    In the meantime, while we don't have a live tracker on the main dashboard, you might find the Xero Me mobile app or the Projects tab useful for keeping a closer eye on your logged time during the week.

    We’ll keep an eye on how much interest this gains…

  11. The company annual returns field is showing December and January as options to select. Annual returns are only filed with the companies office from February to November so December and January should not appear in this list.

  12. The Timesheet Entry pop up on the right side of the page, Cannot be minimised outside of the Home page screen. So if you toggle to a client or to correct a job and happen to have not closed it, you can't then close it without returning to the main home screen. Despite the Cross in the corner, this appears not to work.

  13. Client Reference Code - it would be great if this ACTUAL field showed when viewing a clients details as opposed to having to EDIT a client to see it??

    I know there is an Export Code option but why have both when could just make the Client Reference Code visable on a clients detailed page.

  14. Currently, once a value has been selected in a drop-down field (pre-existing fields - not custom as you can enter a blank line) or entered in a date field on a client record, it cannot be cleared or removed. A value must always remain, even if it was chosen in error or is no longer relevant.

    This creates issues where incorrect or outdated values remain attached to client records, making fields harder to maintain over time.

    It would be very helpful to allow users to either:

    -- reset a drop-down or date field back to blank, or

    -- remove an…

  15. Previously in XPM, if you were in a client's tax return, you could select the XPM option from the dropdown menu under your practice name and it would open a brand new tab and take you back to the Dashboard.
    Currently, the new partner tab no longer has this feature (for obvious reasons), and when you click Home, rather than opening a new tab, it takes you away from the tax return returning you to what used to be the Dashboard page (now the Home page).

  16. Activity Statements Widget, it would be able to click on the columns and got to a filtered view of the activity statements. Also it would be good to be able to filter by partner/manager. On of the big issues with auto created BAS/IAS is the is not parter/manager assigned to them if we could get a filter for partner/manager based on the partner/manager set in the client file it would be fantastic.

  18. XPH colour - can we have something a little more lively then grey? Tax isn't all that exciting as it is and the grey instead of the green that it used to be (or even a nice blue) just feels a little torturous

  20. When I am in a client file and go into the jobs to update one of my tasks, its very frustrating that it opens the job in a new tab! I end up with too many unnecessary tabs open just to navigate from one screen to another!
