XPH - Bulk address change from Client group
In the old XPM we could bulk update client addresses for a client group, this functionality appears to have dropped off the new version, can we have it back please?

While we can't make any commitments atm I will be certain to share any plans with you all here.

XPH | Navigation - Reports on the main bar
Reports is now buried under Practice, can we please have it back on the main blue bar. We use it a lot and now there is more clicks. It would be amazing if we could edit the bar ourselves - what we find important might be different for someone else. Like settings, can we have a settings cog on the blue bar - maybe near the profile?

For the time being we're continuing to track interest in having reports as a top level menu but this is not something we have direct plans of.
With regards to the favourite of reports in the new Xero Partner Hub. I recently provided an update on this idea - Our team have made an improvement so you can now Favourite reports from your My reports tab of the Practice reports builder and these'll appear within the Favourites section of the Practice drop down menu.
Similarly, if you previously favourited reports in the old experience these should now be showing from the Practice drop down.

XPH | Client list - Match partial or similar name in search
When you search for a client with client name, old xpm it used to search for anyone with similar name, now it has to be exact eg John James Jones, if you searched John Jones, it would come up, now it won't and you have to type John James Jones for it to appear. If you type John it will come up but what happens when you have 50 Johns to scroll through??? Please fix.
49 votesThanks for feeding back on the Client search, Carey. The way that search works for the new client list experience is a little different to the older experience, and partial matching is not a feature with this new search.
While it's not in our roadmap atm, our team are keen to stay close the support this idea receives and will consider in future planning. I'll share if there are any updates here.

Tax Manager - Bulk actions for selected tax returns.
The ability to select multiple tax returns that are completed and have the quick action to approve or move it to out to sign or to sign state in the old Xero Practice Manager - Tax Manager is great. Unfortunately, this was removed in the new Beta version. Please bring this back.
It's annoying to file a tax return we need to open one by one. Ok if we only have 1 or 2. At some point we can have more than 10 returns to lodge at the same time.

Tax Manager is a new experience that is currently in beta in Xero Partner Hub. Bulk actions high on the list of what's coming soon as we build features into this experience.
We appreciate the importance of bulk actions to everyone here and will be sure to update you all as soon as this is rolled out.

Tax Manager - Counts of items in categories
All, Draft,Completed,Approved, To sign etc... each of these are now on the left side instead of the old version of them on the top - which is fine. BUT
In the old version I could see I had 10 to approve and the admin team could see they have 12 to send out. Can we have the numbers back?

Tax Manager is a new feature currently in beta and was released early to give users access to ready to start returns and the lodgment widget.
There are a number of additional features being worked on to enhance Tax Manager that you can read up about on Xero Central, and you'll also notice a 'Coming soon' button within Tax Manager to see what's in the pipeline.
Showing the count of returns based on their status is something we're currently working on and I'll share again here when this is released. Thanks for your contributions on product ideas.

Jobs - Reduce whitespace
The new beta job creation doesn't do anything the old one didn't do, everything is just either bigger or surrounded by more white space so there's less information on screen at once. It feels great on a touchscreen on an iPad, but I would assume most users are on a desktop where the experience is now just worse.

Clients – Improve XPM client edit screen (whitespace & layout)
The new client information page has too much white space but the layout with the headings bigger and the line helping you to track from the heading to the actual data is OK. However when you click 'edit details' that all changes.
• the 'old' version only showed the headings and you could expand each heading to find the places you wanted to update. Much easier to scroll through.

Clients - View additional contact mobile from clients page
Cannot view additional contacts mobile phone number on client screen, have to click on contact name. This has dropped off since upgrade. Please put it back.

XPH | Homepage - Show tax Filing Errors
In the current/old XPM, the system would let you know on the home page if there was a filing error on a tax return. This meant you were able to see and sort this quickly. Can we please have a Taxes widget which includes a notification when there is an error in a tax return marked as signed (so we can fix things asap).

Tax Manager - Remove 'Ready to Start' tax returns from existing jobs
"Ready to Start" tax returns should not show up in existing jobs. We have all these tax returns that are showing up in Job that are not related to the client, Individual Tax Return showing up under an Activity Statement Job for a company that is completely unrelated. If they tax returns placeholder is going be added it should only appear under the client tax return tab, not in an existing Job. And there should be away to turn it off.
28 votesHi team, taking on board feedback there are several changes our team are working on to solve the pain points raised by customers around 'Ready to start' returns within new Tax Manager.
To give an idea of what's coming - we're working to;
- only show ready to start returns on "active" jobs
- limit ready to start returns to 25 on a page
- change for identify related clients to only be where there is a relationship or they're in the same "taxable" client group
I'll keep you updated here as these changes are implemented.

As you may be aware Tax Manager is currently in beta and was released early for some users so you could access ready to start returns and the lodgment widget.
We're currently working on other features to build on this feature and you can stay up to date with what's in the pipeline on our Xero central page.
Filtering by partners and managers is on our radar too, and I'll shift the idea to Accepted for now, and be sure to share any progress for this here.

XPH | Homepage - Include Job Status in list
The Jobs List on the Old Home Page is a useful tool as it shows the status of Jobs allocated to you with out having to navigate away. This is important when more than one member of staff is allocated to a job. Allows you to know when to review or if a job has been sent for approval without navigating away from the home page.

Practice Manager | Invoices - Invoices of all status in once screen with a Paid indicator
Having the paid invoices in a separate archive folder is annoying. I used to be able to see the jobs and invoices in one screen, so having them separate is too many mouse clicks away and not immediately visible. Should be one screen for invoices, with a paid indicator next to it.

Practice tools | Jobs - Archived returns to show in their original job
Since the recent updates, we've noticed that once a return is marked as “archived”, it no longer appears within the job it was originally created in. Previously, archived returns remained accessible through the job.
Could you please reinstate the ability to view archived returns within their associated job?

This idea has now moved to Gaining support, which means our community team have reviewed it and it's open for community support through votes and comments. We encourage others who would find this helpful to add their votes and share how this could benefit their workflow.

Reporting - Increase or customise the number of reports in the Favourites dropdown
The Favourite Reports tab currently displays only 6 favourites. Ideally, it would allow more than 6 favourites. If increasing the limit isn’t possible, it would be helpful to choose which 6 favourites appear in the dropdown.
Additionally, if the dropdown cannot show all favourites, it would be useful to have an alternative list or view that displays all starred favourites.

I completely understand how the 6-report limit can feel restrictive when you have a wide range of reports you need to monitor regularly.
While you can view your full list of starred reports by heading to the main Reports screen, I can see the value in having more flexibility directly within the navigation dropdown.
I've moved this to 'Gaining Support' to see how many others would like to expand or customize this list.

XPH | Homepage - Ability to Filter Jobs
It would be helpful to add additional filters to the jobs on the dashboard so that you could filter out certain job states and see true workflow for jobs that are due at that point in time.

Jobs - View jobs on the side of screen
Job Page Hogs entire screen
- I'd assume majority are not blind and old. Old interface is so much better.
- I still want to see my jobs on the side.
- Change it, it's embarrassing.

Can you please make sure we still get to have the tax alerts and the returns graphs. We look at this everyday for tracking purposes

Xero HQ - Display 'Start Date' column in Client and Group job lists
The list of jobs at a client level and Group level no longer displays the start date. Only due date is showing.
This functionality was available before. I am not sure why it was omitted.
