  1. Could the Demo Company please be updated first when new features are being rolled out. Often want to test how a new feature works (eg the current Investment Boost in Fixed Assets) or take the Staff through training on the new features, without having to do this in a Client's live data.
    If the Demo Company can have the features first, then can do testing and training of staff before see in the Client's live data.

  2. Navigation - Main Menu
    Personally, I access practice tools and hubdoc / syft several times daily, I'd prefer not thave to scroll down to get to these. Settings and Subscription / Billing are access much less frequently and coud me lower in the menu.
    Also the Xero Menu and Home Menu seem to do exactly the same thing? Could the main drop down menu therefore be moved over to the LHS where it was previously.

I've slightly amended your idea to the first that you mentioned around navigating to practice tools. We have a slightly different one for the navigation to Hubdoc that you may like to vote for.

  5. The Dashboard has been used as an advertising medium lately as well as a messaging medium informing users about Xero's latest acquisition or some new feature they want users to know about.

    The dashboard is a useful feature but distractions on the dashboard kill my productivity. Also, Xero have existing ways to communicate with users (email, xero messages/notifications, community forum, Xero blog etc etc) - they should leave the Dashboard for business use.

    They should also leave support messages for business support use only - have a look next time you contact support - they avoid answering the question but…

  6. In the general search field at the top right, it would be very helpful if the search also work with a space or a few spaces at the beginning. Because if I copy an invoice number in the field I always have to delete the spaces first before the search works - it's annoying.

  7. Right now, the dashboard shows "Loading your transactions" for bank accounts far too often and for far too long. The dashboard should always show the current state of the user's accounts, not what is essentially an indeterminate progress bar. It would be more user-friendly to remove the message entirely because it doesn't give users any actionable information. If new transactions come in while the user is doing things, simply update the dashboard to indicate that there are new transactions to reconcile, even if the user just finished reconciling what was there before.

  8. Custom reports as an option the Report drop down. I know we can favourite them, but if we have a lot of custom reports it's quicker just to go to the custom report page immediately and work from there.

  9. The new tabs are nominated as Purchases and Sales but some of their sub tabs go beyond that. I would prefer to label them Payments and Receipts

  10. Hi Xero Team,

    I’m really disappointed to discover that the Xero Mobile App doesn’t provide any way to view the Balance Sheet - a core financial statement that forms half of any set of accounts and is the backbone of understanding a business’s position.

    As a property developer, tracking CAPEX spends per project is critical, and not having quick access to this information on the go is a significant limitation. Even a simple dashboard or quick-glance view in the app would make a huge difference for users like me who rely on Xero to manage their businesses efficiently.

    Appreciate your feedback here, James. It's good to hear the sort of information our customers would find most handy on the go.

    This isn't something we have direct plans for atm, but we'll get a sens of the interest for viewing the Balance Sheet in the Xero Accounting app from the community here and I'll let you know if there are any plans made.

  11. As an accountant I prefer the Reporting and Accounting tabs together, under one tab as it has always been. It would slow me down, if I had to search for accounting tools/reports under different tabs.

  12. Please investigate cheaper crypto aggregation services than the ones available currently in your apps section. Currently (Aug 2025) all the ones there are for enterprise, or businesses that trade a LOT in crypto. And the prices are ludicrous for those of us with small amounts of crypto assets.

    Maybe get the IRD to fund your research and development of this kind of thing, because it will make proper tax reconciliation possible, and their investment will pay dividends.

    As an example, ZenLedger (https://zenledger.io/) lets us integrate all this information. It still costs a yearly fee (per tax year) but…

  13. Can we add hotkeys for frequently used functions.

    For example

    Search - Alt + S

    Invoice - Alt + I

    Dashboard - Alt + D

Hi Kelly, concerning projects, I have a thought or idea in seeing HOT Projects or URGENT or PRIORITY Projects in the Projects drop down just like the drop down on the Reporting button that you have Favorite Reports when you create custom reports or when you favorite some of the standard ones.     Upcoming changes are very useful. However, a small suggestion re. the home page menu: As an Accountant in practice would like the following order.

    Home
    Accounting
    Sales
    Purchases
    Payroll
    Reporting
    Tax and
    Contacts.

    We're paying close attention to everything our community is sharing about the new navigation here and if there are any plans made around the ordering we will let you know.

  16. On the Sales menu, I would like a sub-menu/fly-out to the right of Invoices with links to the Draft, Awaiting Approval, Awaiting Payment, Paid, and Repeating tabs on the Invoices page. This would enable me to go directly to the tab I want, saving a click or two, and reduce page load time instead of always landing on the default tab then having to click the one I actually want. Clicking Invoices should still go to the All tab. Same could be done on the Purchases menu for Bills.

    Alternatively, instead of a sub-menu/fly-out, add Draft, Awaiting Approval, Awaiting Payment,…

  19. I'd prefer to see the Tax Menu consolidated into either the Reporting or Accounting menu. Having more options just adds clutter and unnecessarily overwhelms users.
