  1. It is not currently possible to pull a report of all clients that have Franked distributions (field U) and Franking credit (field D) on their tax returns.     Appreciate you raising the idea in the forums here. We'll continue to get a sense of the interest in being able to pull these Franking fields with the report builder.

    If there are any plans made for enabling this we'll be sure to share with you all here.

  2. We now have a single client record with HQ & XPM but it still does not pull through the client partner & manager from XPM and allow us to filter this way.

    We would find this feature very helpful when bulk updating client access for our team members when they start or depart.

    We also need to be able to export reports from HQ on the filters we apply. Currently even if a filter is applied the export includes all clients and columns and not what is in the filter display.

  3. As 'Blue Xero' supports a 'Not for Profit' organisation, it disappointing that an accompanying
    CT600 cannot be produced in Xero Tax for a charity.

  4. No option to select 'File MTD VAT Return' in bulk for clients when setting up a new staff member in Xero HQ. After assigning the clients in bulk for a new staff member you have to then go into each client individually to give this permission.

  5. Currently we are only able delete Client Groups in XPM. That means there are 'inactive' groups when the clients move on making it harder to see how many Groups you are actually working with.

    It would be great to be able to Archive instead. This would keep the Group Count 'clean' and you can still report on Groups

  6. Currently when a staff member leaves we can remove their access on the clients we subscribe to Xero but can't remove access where the client subscribes directly and has invited them in.

    For security purposes, it would be good if the practice admin could easily run a report on the leaver showing all the clients they have access to. You can do this on screen however we want the client managers to get in touch with their relevant clients as they have the relationship.

    I recently had a staff leaver with c100 clients I couldn't remove access to myself and…

    Hi everyone, coming back across the idea here we wanted to clarify existing behaviour.

    When you remove a staff member from HQ this automatically removes all org access, as long as those orgs are linked to client records, and as long as the client records are active (not archived) - Meaning you don't need to manually remove access to each org one by one.

    The few cases where you would need to manually remove one by one would be if a client is archived or an org is not linked to a client record at the time of staff removal.

    We intend to improve this experience and provide better visibility of staff access in the longer term, so when there is more progress on this I'll return to update you here.

  7. When adding signature placeholders in financial statements etc, put the placeholder where cursor is and not at the top of the page.

  9. The option to have a draft automatically created when a recurring job is generated. Such as for GST and AIM.
    It would be very helpful by saving time and assist us in making sure they are all filed.

  10. I use 'client groups' extensively in HQ. I need to see which clients are not in a group at all, and which ones are in more than one group, but this is not possible. Please allow us to report on which groups each client is in.

    Hi community, just jumping in here to share that we have recently made an improvement to the groups feature in Xero HQ 🎉
    Within a Client record, you can now see what groups they belong to, and add or remove them - check out this article for more information. Please note, this is not available as a report, but is available on a client by client basis.

    While the team have been really busy working on the single client record, they also hope to introduce a Groups list and group details (similar to what is currently available in XPM) to increase the ability to manage Groups within HQ. We’ll be sure to return & update you here when that’s available.

  11. I had a validation error CMN.ATO.DISTBENTRT.000013 generated in an SMSF tax return.
    When I clicked on the validation error it took me to a specific trust income schedule (number 10 of 18), which had several fields highlighted. The error says that there must be a number in any of the fields A B D U and so on - this schedule met this condition.
    After much wasted time trying to re-enter fields, checking there were no blank spaces, deleting and re-entering all fields, deleting and re-entering the whole schedule, I contacted support.
    It turns out the error was actually generated…

  12. It would be helpful to merge clients in XPM where two accounts have been created (different names) and tax returns filed under each one. For example a client entered under their maiden name and married name who have filed tax returns. In our case a duplicate was accidently created when doing the return and we have no way to now shift the tax return to the correct and active client account in XPM.

  13. A 'Date Added' field would be great, to show when a client was entered into an XPM account.

    It would also be good to add this as a client report criteria, so you can filter dates.

  15. When using Xero Workpapers, it imports the figures across from the Xero client file without decimals. Therefore, when I'm comparing these figures in Workpapers to client reports and bank statements these are often slightly out.

    Can you please update Workpapers so that there is an option to show decimal places?

    Hi team, we appreciate your feedback and understand the importance of having decimal places visible in workpapers especially for tasks that require a high level of detail. I'm pleased to let you know that our product teams have paid close attention to the idea from our community here as they develop our new Workpapers solution, where all workpapers in the new solution will show 2 decimal places.

    For those of you using the existing Workpapers solution, there's no immediate change. You can continue with your current workflow. Once the new solution becomes available, we'll share more information on how to access it.

    We're beginning to roll this out to Partners starting with Australia, and will be expanding to other regions in early 2026.

  17. Would be good if there was an option to reorder the pages in a tax return, primarily to be able to bring the tax estimate to the front page of the tax return as that tends to be the key information the client wants to see and it is buried at page 3 or 4 of the tax return when printed.

  18. You have 4 other online cloud document management systems listed via XPM. We use SharePoint and would request this to be added as a further option to link our programs for efficiency and easy of use.

    We would then like tasks to be setup in jobs, that we can "link" documents in Sharepoint, to tasks/jobs in XPM.

  19. Xero gave us a tax estimate for deceased estates (but only within the first three years...), and on my very first trial of this new feature ran into a roadblock - I cannot find anywhere to input the PAYG Instalments paid by the deceased estate, therefore the estimate is inaccurate.

  20. For non-Xero clients, it would be very useful to be able to use workpapers and include the actual account balance from the Client's accounts, rather than displaying the Xero account balance as nil. As a practice, we use Xero workpapers, but not every single client uses Xero.
