  1. Can payroll deductions such as IRD arrears or MOJ deductions etc be included in the Payments Report. This is vital information that is not able to be reported on at this stage and I wonder how many deductions have slipped through the cracks because clients aren't aware that a deduction has been made. In the situation where a third party is managing Xero payrolls for clients these payments need to be communicated manually via email. As you can imagine this places a large burden on the third party to ensure that this is captured each payrun.

  2. There are a number of Report Templates available in the Client Reports which once adapted would be good to copy either from one client to another or better still from a Client to the Practice Reports, making them available for all clients and they could then be included in Monthly Management Reports.

    Currently you can only copy reports within a client or within the Practice Reports and the facility is not available to copy across from one to another

    Back with an update for, everyone 😊We have now enabled the ability to add client-specific custom reports to Adviser packs!

    As mentioned in my last update we don't have direct plans for enabling the ability to copy reports from client to client or client to practice report templates.

    While this update doesn't completely accomplish what's been directly asked in this idea, we know this is a key feature that'll be highly beneficial to some in this idea in creating more comprehensive reports. Thanks for sharing with us all, here.

  3. Ability to report on all fields in XPM. Example, Fee from Refund. Odd to have fields available that no way can be used in any reports or export of data.

  4. Report for "Account Transactions" should only produce one line per transaction.

    Currently, the report splits off a separate line for the PST component of each transaction, adding "- PST" in the description and to the contact name, and pulls the PST amount out of "Gross".

    I need an account transaction report that includes GST, PST and the unit price in "gross" on a single line per transaction. These gross values will match the bank statement, and have the description/reference/contact and the account(s) the transaction was coded to.

  5. Currently there’s no functionality in Xero to run an IAS without the GST Accounting Method set up.
    Suggest a feature request that allows you to prepare the activity statement regardless of the entity being registered for GST or not.

  6. Dear Community,

    as we now have the W9 Request Feature with the 1099 Reporting, I would please request the same for the W8 Series for the 1042 Reporting. I know the forms are much more complex, but I experience that clients, even though reminded about the importance of gathering the W8s. Many completely disregard the Withholding requirement w/o the form.

  7. We need a report that is cash basis and can have number of items sold during a time period. This report also needs revenue totals and allow a tracking category. Essentially this is to produce a report to determine Royalties that are due on some products that are sold.

  8. Manual Journals - Ability to to set Tax Defaults in Financial Settings like you can for sales and purchases. This will enable the user to set it to Tax inclusive and every time a new journal is created it will be tax inclusive instead of no tax.

  9. Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to include some non financial data in zero ledgers for reporting?
    For Example - I would like to include a 'No. of Transactions' for a period that would not be a financial number (so no balancing required) but, this number would be available to add to reports i.e creating a cost per transaction.
    We used to call these 'SKU's' and generally they would Non Financial KPI's like:- production days, FTE's, LTI's or Units produced.
    Any help would be great.

  10. For the new format of the Profit and loss report, only show the tracking categories that actually have a balance. Therefore do not show with nil balance.
    Currently have to adjust the report to remove the relevant columns which is time & $.

    The old version did this automatically!

    Thanks for your feedback on this idea, community. We appreciate you sharing how important consistent Profit & Loss formatting is for your workflows.

    As noted by some, currently you can export the report to Excel in order to make adjustments outside Xero as needed.

    To confirm, currently, if a tracking option doesn't have transactions in the period, there won't be a column for that option and there isn’t a way to show it on the report.

    Being open, we don’t have any plans for changing the current behaviour and capabilities of tracking columns within the Profit & Loss report. We value your feedback and will keep this in mind as we evaluate future reporting enhancements.

    That said, there are a few comments within the thread that reference the ability to show accounts that have a nil balance - Earlier this year we released an option within multiple reports to enable…

  11. Being able to group the account transaction report by contact is brilliant but unfortunately the report has default columns for Debit, Credit, Gross and VAT and not running balance or net.

    If the client is VAT registered the total showed by contact is VAT inclusive so please can the report also have the Net column turned on by default.

  12. The History and Notes in Advanced Settings does not include the action of Emailing (or Sending) an Invoice (or any other document), yet this action appears on the individual Invoice History.

  13. Report builder offers the ability to print PDF reports which is great but if needing to use these for external purposes, e.g. a timesheet detail report to supplement an invoice, the criteria/header portion currently has to be printed also. It would be great to have an option to show/hide the criteria/header when printing to PDF.

  14. It would be nice to have a report where you show the Transaction Date, Account, Check Number, Description, Coding.

    Currently the Check Number is not a data field that you can put into a report.

  15. Being able to click on the summary page to show what is entered in that field would be good or a drop down box on the BAS summary page. Having to scroll through sales to get to the expenses is time consuming.

  16. Ability to change the file name when exporting reports

    When exporting reports, it defaults to Company name_Report Name.pdf. We have a format of naming files in our business which does not match the default format. It would be simpler to be able to change the default file exporting system so that it more closely fits our standards, saving time. This could be added into the company settings. Options include: Report should say: Text [placeholder] Text [placeholder], and "include or exclude underscore".
    Options for placeholders include date printed, company name, report name, etc.

  18. Ability to set default reporting options (default to show account numbers, specify no. of results per page, your own date preferences), along with favourited reports - but have it linked to your Xero user profile rather than the client's file.

    I work on multiple files a day and don't want to change their file settings - but manually changing to my preferred reports every time the page refreshes is exhausting.

  19. I'd like an easy way to make a note on a transaction or other unique information without it having to be "found" in the notes and history at the bottom. I'm trying to give a bookkeeper/advisor a bunch of notes at once, and it would hugely helpful if somehow there was a way to send her something or have a "log" of some kind that showed my recent notes, with easy links to the transactions, so I don't have to do screen shots and send outside of Xero etc.
