  1. So we send a W9 request and a vendor completes it, great. But this doesn't create a digital W9 form, it just modifies the information in the vendor's 1099 contact page. So if an auditor requests a copy of a vendor's W9, we have nothing to give them. And it's possible to override the changes made by the W9 submission, so there's no way to verify - say a year later - that the information on their contact page aligns with the W9 information they submitted.     Hi there

    While we don’t create an exact replica of the form we’ve worked closely with our compliance team to make sure that if you are audited we can supply the information needed. We also cater for the event of W-9 information being overridden and needing W-9’s from previous years.

    In terms of getting the information for an audit - while we don’t offer a self service option at the moment - if you need it you can submit a request to our support team and we’ll provide what you need for an audit 😊

  3. I would like to visualise how draft bills and invoices affect my cashflow, something which I know is not possible at the moment. This would allow me to predict how multiple open quotes & projects could affect my financing requirements. Could this be added in future?

  4. I generate a custom report for Project Timesheets and I would like to be able to rename the columns as sometimes we use slightly different terminology or we use the tasks in a slightly different way to work around limitations.

    e.g "Resource" instead of "Staff", "Role" instead of "Task".

    For some projects we enter a week's worth of time entries at a time, so they are dated at the end of the week, so I would like to change the column to "Week ending" instead of "Date".

  5. The Supplier Bill Activity report is great for showing transactions for a Supplier if you operate only with one currency.
    However, for accounts with Multicurrency, it should also include optional columns for the Source Currency amounts and when showing just one currency, the balances in that currency in the list of columns.

  9. Please create all excel exports from Xero in the currrent .xlsx format. Most still produce an old xls.file format (for instance Sales Tax Report) and need to be resaved to bring up to date.

  11. It would be very useful if the declined reason could be included in a report/export to enable further investigation as to why quotes where declined.
    This would highlight any patterns, e.g. price to high, delivery to long etc.

And a proper detailed CUSTOMER AND SUPPLIER DETAILED LEDGER - Without the allocation of payments AND credit note splits with THE ACTUAL DETAIL on the bank and jnls so that one can see what is going on.   13. Right now it's not possible to remove the Capital Gain line from the disposal journal when the sales price is more than the original purchase price.

    This means, that if you have a motor vehicle that you sold for higher than it's purchase price, the Fixed Asset register will not let you dispose of this asset without recording a capital gain - even though motor vehicles have no capital gains tax on them.

    This issue needs to be fixed.

  14. Currently when you are viewing the GST Audit Report , you can select an item to view in more detail. When you back arrow to return to the GST Audit Report, Xero takes you back to the first item on page 1, not at the position where you left the Audit Report . It would be beneficial to the user, and would save a lot of time scrolling, if Xero returned the user to the position where they left the report.

  15. Hi All, As we are based in Northern Ireland we have a lot of clients that purchase from both sides of the boarder, and are required to submit intrastat declarations on a monthly basis, however unlike Sage, this information can not be stored in Xero and then exported to submit to HMRC.

    It would make reporting this information so much easier.

  16. I propose adding contact account numbers to account transaction reports in Xero. This enhancement will enable users to easily link and reconcile transactions with specific contacts, even when working with downloaded data in formats like Excel.

    Hi everyone, thanks for the engagement and support on this idea. We recognise that having the option to display accounts in GL account number order when editing a reports layout would reduce the need to manually adjust the order of accounts.

    We've reviewed your feedback, including the specific issues with grouping, and are moving this idea to Accepted. This reflects that the idea has not been included in our current roadmap but that this is an idea that we will continue to monitor.

  19. We recently converted from Quickbooks Desktop and are trying to reproduce a "Sales by Customer" Report that sorts descending by gross invoice amount but groups the contacts within the contact group together. In Xero, I cannot figure out a way to accomplish this.

  20. Currently the report's filters only available to filter thing that " contain " in the respective categories. Can you please also include the option "do not contain" - so that we could produce report to omit things that we would not wish to include. Thank you
