AU Tax - Schedule EFT reconciliation reports
Provide the ability to schedule requesting on a daily basis the EFT Reconciliation reports in XPM, currently being a manual request locked behind Business settings permissions.
Provide also the resulting reports in either a Custom Reports area or standard reports so admin staff without the Business Settings permissions can view the ATO EFT reconciliation reports, filtered by date and Tax Agent Number. Possibly add a permission to view these reports as a separate permission.13 votesThanks for supporting and sharing with us how scheduling of reports could enhance your workflow. While we don't have immediate plans for this feature, we have a pulse on the ideas for this in community here and will be sure to update if there's any change to automate these for you.

Fixed assets: Capital Works Depreciation Schedules
We need more flexibility in depreciation schedules to add Second Hand Capital Works Assets for rental properties.
When you buy a second hand rental property, the capital allowances available under Div 43 needs to be calculated on the original cost, however, the total amount remaining to be claimed will be less than this original amount. Fixed Assets in Xero does not currently allow for this. We need to calculate the depreciation on a straight line basis based on the original cost, not what we paid for it and we need to be able to include an opening written down value,…13 votes -
BAS - Manual option to override unavailable unfiled amounts
Activity Statement report - currently the activity statements need to be finalised in order and if not then the unfiled amounts option is turned off for good, with no way to change this. The current workaround is to delete all previous statements and then finalise them in order. This means we lose history, and particularly when the client is managing the BAS returns, we need that history to stay. Also there is no way to tell how far back into history the error is occuring. We need a manual override where we can switch on the unfiled amounts, so that…

VAT - Ability to produce a 126 Schedule
VAT 126 - small local authorities can reclaim all VAT. To do so they need to submit a 126 schedule, which is not currently available within Xero. The problem is that the supplier's VAT number cannot be included in transaction reports.
The ability to produce the VAT 126 schedule would make Xero a very good option for the many parish and small town councils.13 votes🌟 Thanks for sharing this idea, and for explaining the need for a VAT 126 schedule for local authorities and similar organisations.

Analytics plus - Include bills with future dated payments in STCF projection
Short term cash flow projection, please can you update it to show bills with future dated payments?
Once our suppliers bills are in for the month, we often set bank payments up for them for their due date so that we don't' have to keep remembering to make payments. If we mark them up with a future payment date, they are removed from the cashflow forecast. It would make much more sense if they appeared in the cashflow on the date they have been set to pay.13 votesHi everyone, thanks for your feedback on this idea. We appreciate you explaining how important accurate cash flow forecasting is for your planning. We’ve reviewed this suggestion and we’re updating the status to Gaining Support. This means it’s now open for community support through votes and comments. Please keep voting and sharing your experiences to help demonstrate the value of this enhancement. Your input helps our product team understand how features like this could benefit users who schedule payments in advance. Thanks again for contributing and keeping the conversation going! ✨

VAT Return - Add Source Column for Transactions
When reviewing a VAT return on the transactions by tax rate tab - there is no way to view the detail if the payment was through an invoice or bill even though you are able to see the detail if it is entered as a spend money or receive money transaction.
Being able to create bills and add attachments is extremely convenient, however, it is not when you are unable to see the detail you have provided when reviewing the VAT return.
Please look into this! Thank you.
13 votesThanks for sharing this idea. After reviewing this we’re moving it to Gaining Support.
At the moment, the behaviour in the VAT return’s Transactions by tax rate tab can vary depending on the transaction type and whether a reference has been entered. However, each transaction type can usually be identified in the current view by what appears in the Reference column:
- Sales invoices: the invoice number may be shown in the Reference column.
- Bills: the bill reference may be shown in the Reference column.
- Manual journals: the journal number is shown in the Reference column.
- Spend money and receive money transactions: there isn’t a clear label showing these transaction types, however they can often be identified by the lack of detail in the Reference column when compared with invoices, bills and journals.
We understand this can still make it harder to quickly distinguish spend money and receive money transactions when…

Reporting - 'Select all' option on the Account Transactions Report when Search is used
It would be great if when you use the search field to search for a name/description, if there was an option to 'select all' of the searched items. I often search for a description and then have 10-15 account codes I want to view, but i have to tick them all individually. A select all button would be amazing!
There is already a select all / deselect all option but only when there is no description searched.13 votes -
Reporting: Sales Report - Track sales by sales person
Report that shows the total sales made by each sales person in an organisation
Purpose: Ease of being able to compare Sales reps stats across the organisation and/or overtime
13 votesHi team, not getting a lot of traction overtime we will soon remove this idea from the platform.
As mentioned in our last update while we don't have a direct feature for reporting by sales person, there is a means to use one of your tracking categories to monitor and report by sales people in your organisation.
- Create a tracking category called something like 'Sales Rep', and create category options within the category for each of your sales staff.
- When a sales invoice or quote is created, you can include the staff member's name in the staff member (Tracking) field on the invoice/quote.
- You can then use the Tracking reports to see the sales that relate to each 'Sales Rep' and calculate commission manually outside of Xero.
Alternatively, we'd recommend exploring our Xero app store to find a solution that can offer this and more functionality to track and report…

New Manual Journals - Increase column width
The latest manual journal update doesn't show enough of the description field to be able to read. It also won't allow us to enter down in the description, it just adds it all in 1 long line.
We should be able to increase or decrease the width of each column.12 votesThanks for taking the time to suggest this, Julia. A flexible column sizing and multi-line descriptions could make working with detailed manual journals more efficient, especially when reviewing longer entries.
I’ve updated the status to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking community interest. If this would improve your workflow, add your vote and share your use case.

CIS - Editable email templates
Whilst there are some templates in Email settings that we can Edit, it would be great if those that have the CIS add-on can also have the option to personalise the messages sent with the month end statements

Fixed Assets - Group columns in schedule together
Fixed asset schedules are pretty standard and the information we need to include is pretty standard.
The current functionality in Xero does not allow columns to be group together so we get a fixed asset schedule report with a lot of columns that is quite wide and squished up.
This idea is to add functionality to allow columns to be added together i.e. additions and disposals, depreciation rate and method, to condense the report and allow a more polished version to be created for included within annual financial statements.

Profit & Loss | Tracking - Ability to drill down
The previous Profit & Loss report allowed you to filter by multiple categories. There was an add t report function which allowed users to drill down into secondary categories and export ALL of the data into one report which showed 1. A P&L Summary, 2. Detailed expenditure for the chosen secondary category. The "Add to report" function allowed the user to export the entire category details as a whole.
For our business this is critical. We are a bespoke project based company and use this filter constantly & No the project feature does not work for our business....I have tried!

NZ Payroll - Show deductions on Payments Report
Can payroll deductions such as IRD arrears or MOJ deductions etc be included in the Payments Report. This is vital information that is not able to be reported on at this stage and I wonder how many deductions have slipped through the cracks because clients aren't aware that a deduction has been made. In the situation where a third party is managing Xero payrolls for clients these payments need to be communicated manually via email. As you can imagine this places a large burden on the third party to ensure that this is captured each payrun.

User Role - Ability to share a published report with users
Every month I publish, export and share reports with certain individuals. I would like to do this within Xero. I set up users who can have "View published reports" access. When I publish a report I can then select that report and choose which of these users I wish to share it with. The user is notified, can login to Xero and is then presented with a list of published reports that have been shared with them. It keeps all the functionality native to Xero.

AU Reports: Gender Equity Reporting
Appologies in advance for my frustration.
Are Xero considering providing a Gender Equity report in the future?
I raised a case for our HR Dept last year and the answer from Xero was no.If any community member has any short cuts on gathering this info, please respond to this post.
I am wasting so many hours trying to gather the required data from your available reports.
In April I exported Employee contact details to export & sort.
This morning I have been exporting Renumeration data and then sorting deleting non date range required emplyees. Due to no date range…12 votesThank you for suggesting a gender equity report for payroll. We recognise that many of you currently spend significant time manually merging multiple exports to get these insights.
Whether we build a dedicated equity report or enhance existing reports with gender columns and advanced filtering, our goal is to streamline your workflow.
To help this request move forward, please encourage your colleagues to vote for it. We also welcome your comments on how this update would specifically improve your Xero experience.
