Purpose: To save user time in exporting Bpay batches, as currently they have to do it one by one.

Hi everyone, we understand the high importance of more flexibility in how you pay your supplier. As you may have read on our website online bill payments in AU is currently in beta, with plans to roll out to more organisations soon.

Once available to your organisation this agnostic solution, will give you multiple options of how your supplier receives funds, including BPAY as requested in this idea.

I'll come back and share once online bill payments become available to all Australian organisations. In the meantime you can find out more and sign up to the beta on our website. 🙂

    Thanks for this update. Unfortunately the new Online Bill Payments function will not be able to be utilised by us as the payment release is single approval. Our organisation governance requires dual approval for all payment releases. Therefore, this functionality is still needed for those of us unable to utilise online bill payments due to insufficient governance controls.

    Yes please. Would like a Batch File for BPAY paid invoices and the ability to upload to the bank via an .aba file please.

    Yes, definitely need the BPB file format, as I currently have to manually upload 20–30 BPAY payments individually.

    100% We need batch payments for Bpay. In fact, "Batch" payments should allow Bpay & Direct Debit payments to generate 2 separate files for upload into the bank.

    Yes Xero when is this going to be available. Fees keep going up and no mention of this. What’s happening? When do users expect to see this?

    We have been using a third party (subscription) Xero app (Parakeet) for a few years now. It's not free, but worth it for our volume.

    It would be great to be able to select a payment option i.e EFT, BPAY, CHEQUE - you would then be able to see what payments are EFT and what are in the batch for BPAY

    Our client has a lot of properties and being able to batch BPAY payments is essential for efficient processing of accounts.

    This is a basic function and bpay has been around for years. Why is it taking Xero so long to catchup?

    It would be great to be able to export a BPAY batch, however, the banks would have to be on board as I can't currently upload a BPAY batch into the online banking. I currently pay my BPAY payments as a separate batch as if I was going to export it and then enter them manually in the bank as a batch.

    Due to batch payments, i pay all my accounts at the middle of the month before they are due in one batch payment. This month I have 5 BPay payments that i have to do separately. This is time. I am time poor and Xero needs to get this sorted so Batch payments include Bpay payments as well. Saves a lot of time.
    1). Registration
    2). Insurances
    3). ATO
    4). Telstra Bill
    5). Suppliers
    6). Asic
    7). Webcentral

    Xero this needs to get done ASAP.

    We are getting hit with more and more businesses that are Bpay only in Australia, Telstra, Aurora Energy in Tasmania, council. It makes sense that there is a work around and I note that Xero team shared this idea 11 years ago. Seems like it is time to act.

    When will this be available? This is critical for a lot of businesses, especially in property development where there are hundreds of lots with individual BPay information for each Rates and taxes payment

    This function needs to be added URGENTLY! Takes me 5 times the amount of time to process my BPAY payments compared to doing a batch payment.
