Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate hearing where our users would like to see change across Xero. We also hear feedback through many other sources, and realistically while we’d love to, we simply cannot work on all things at once. Our product teams must make hard choices on where, and what to develop everyday, to continue delivering consistently high value to our customers.
That being said, there are no plans to make Xero a fully functioning email system for communicating with your contact base, like what’s being asked here. Focus for the team at present is needed on more critical projects, such as building on beautiful. There are many integrations available through our ecosystem, if you don’t find one specifically for sending out bulk emails to contacts, you could approach a custom-cloud integrator to build one for you at a fee.
I know this isn’t the news you’re hoping…

Hi team, appreciate not exactly what's being asked here but to confirm what's available at present.
In the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss you can now show Account code through the More option. From here, use the layout editor to drag & drop accounts to the order you'd like.
Once set up deselect the option to show Account code and your ordering will remain while the codes are not shown within the report.
You can also Save as custom so you can then access this layout anytime you need.
To go deeper with the insights for our team here, it's be good to know the specific reports you're wanting to see this feature in.

An error occurred while saving the comment Natan Gomes Martins da Conceicao commentedIt makes no sense to have the option to use the fixed asset function for cash basis companies. This is a very important routine for me to maintain control over the assets, but it gets in the way when processing the depreciation or selling the asset. As you can see in the attached file, as Xero does not account for depreciation or the sale of fixed assets for cash basis companies, it is necessary to make a manual journal, which theoretically "solves" the accounting problem. But if I need a managerial view based on Accrual basis, my balance sheet is completely distorted as it doubles the depreciation and/or sale of the asset.
Why don't you guys enable this tool on cash basis too?

Hi community, sometime on since my last post we wanted to provide an update for your all here and appreciate the continued attention this idea is receiving.
We want to be upfront that at this time focuses for the team are in other areas of bank reconciliation and we don't have any current plans for developing the ability to import and export bank rules from an organisation.
We understand and know this is important to everyone that has voted for the idea and will continue to review and pay close attention to the feedback and votes here. When there is more opportunity for the team to refocus efforts here we will keep you informed of any progress.

An error occurred while saving the comment Natan Gomes Martins da Conceicao commentedI completely agree, I don't think it's too complex for the Xero support team to include a search field in the bank rules. This is real negligence. To find the rules of a specific account we have to spend almost a whole day on a task that would take 1 minute if there was a simple search option.

Thanks for your feedback and interest in the idea here. We appreciate the desire for being able to enable employees to make these changes themselves.
While this is something the team will continually review as they keep developing Payroll for Australia, we want to be open that this is not in the direct plans atm.
If there are any changes or progress for developing this we'll be sure to come back and update you on this, here.

Hey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, I’m pleased to let you know that this has been delivered for UK Payroll initially! It includes the ability to select the date range you’re interested in, and check boxes to either select all results or multiple. Then you can download your selection as a single PDF of multiple payslips.
For users in AU and NZ we know this is a highly anticipated feature, however to be open this is not any immediate plans for those teams so we’ll leave this idea open. While we appreciate it doesn’t help employers needing bulk downloads, employees can be invited into the Xero Me portal to self-serve payslip collection.

Appreciate raising the idea here, Mona
With improvements to XeroMe our intention is to make it simpler for employees to self enter this sort of information.
Is there a particular reason why you'd prefer not to use this function? Would be good to be able to share this back with our team or perhaps there's another idea I could be connecting you in with here
