Hi team, appreciate not exactly what's being asked here but to confirm what's available at present.
In the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss you can now show Account code through the More option. From here, use the layout editor to drag & drop accounts to the order you'd like.
Once set up deselect the option to show Account code and your ordering will remain while the codes are not shown within the report.
You can also Save as custom so you can then access this layout anytime you need.
To go deeper with the insights for our team here, it's be good to know the specific reports you're wanting to see this feature in.

It makes no sense to have the option to use the fixed asset function for cash basis companies. This is a very important routine for me to maintain control over the assets, but it gets in the way when processing the depreciation or selling the asset. As you can see in the attached file, as Xero does not account for depreciation or the sale of fixed assets for cash basis companies, it is necessary to make a manual journal, which theoretically "solves" the accounting problem. But if I need a managerial view based on Accrual basis, my balance sheet is completely distorted as it doubles the depreciation and/or sale of the asset.
Why don't you guys enable this tool on cash basis too?

Thanks for all the attention and support this idea has collected, everyone. While we've made improvements to some of the screens in Bank Rules, we're still considering where others changes could be made, and it's helpful to see the traction on this idea.
With the new Bank Rules list view you'll find that you can now Search making it a little easier to group and manage your rules from within Xero. We're also enhancing the suggestions and auto matching when you reconcile which overtime will help to decrease the amount of rules a business may need.
We understand how being able to export rules would add another level to managing rules outside of Xero, and importing of rules would ease setups and we'll keep this idea front of mind and re-evaluate the interest when resource frees up to consider additional features.

I completely agree, I don't think it's too complex for the Xero support team to include a search field in the bank rules. This is real negligence. To find the rules of a specific account we have to spend almost a whole day on a task that would take 1 minute if there was a simple search option.

To follow on from Kelly’s last update, the Product team have made a lot of headway in the 'building on beautiful' work which has prepared the platform to more easily build features solving customer problems, like the ones identified in this thread.
I’m pleased to share that we’re in the early stages of developing a solution that combines increasing the number of statement lines being returned to the page and a search and filter across all of your statement lines.
The product team has a working concept and are looking to validate this with some customers before working out the final details. It would be perfect if there was a way to filter a transaction by the "Reconcile" menu, or that had the option to reconcile in the "Bank statement" menu.

Hey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, I’m pleased to let you know that this has been delivered for UK Payroll initially! It includes the ability to select the date range you’re interested in, and check boxes to either select all results or multiple. Then you can download your selection as a single PDF of multiple payslips.
For users in AU and NZ we know this is a highly anticipated feature, however to be open this is not any immediate plans for those teams so we’ll leave this idea open. While we appreciate it doesn’t help employers needing bulk downloads, employees can be invited into the Xero Me portal to self-serve payslip collection.

Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate all the interest and detail of where and why you'd like to attach files to employees in payroll.
As many will be aware, the team have been making a lot of changes across Payroll to accompany local regulation & compliance such as STP phase2.
With much of this work still on-going, we want to be open that there are no plans at present for this development. It is top of mind for the team, and will be reconsidered when resource becomes more available however we wanted to share and set expectation for the near term with you all, here.

With improvements to XeroMe our intention is to make it simpler for employees to self enter this sort of information.
Is there a particular reason why you'd prefer not to use this function? Would be good to be able to share this back with our team or perhaps there's another idea I could be connecting you in with here
