  1. I would like a subscription option for a "super only" payroll for 20+ contractors. I do not need all the payroll functions as these are contractors who I pay from an invoice, but I do need to pay their super. There is absolutely no need for me to pay for the top tier payroll subscription, when we only have 2 people actually on payroll, but 20+ people who we need to pay super to.

  4. I would like to be able to assign the 210 CIS labour account to a service for CIS labour. At the moment, I have a couple of services for CIS labour and some for non CIS labour.
    For the Non CIS labour, I can creat a service called 'labour' and add the account code to it.
    This can't be done with CIS labour at the moment as Xero won't allow it. This means that for each line item of CIS labour in an invoice I have to manually add the 210 CIS account.

  5. To be able to use Find and Recode in Cash Mode. This would make searching for and recoding payments of bills and invoices within a time period much easier. For example, when a client becomes GST Registered and payments from a certain date need to have GST applied.

  7. Add the ability for Managers to approve bank account details for contacts. Ie the Bookkeeper can enter in & change the suppliers bank account details in Xero, but the manager can then go an approve it.

  9. While in the reconcile screen, when I type in who and it pulls up my contact, I would like it to automatically default to the gl acct that I already have on the Contact card. I have to click on details then go to the gl box click on it to see what the gl acct is. Sometimes lets say Costco it could either by Office Supplies or Auto Expense(gas). So when I type up the Costco contact I would like to see what gl acct it is going to and if I need to change it to Auto Expense…

  10. Invoices submitted by contractors - Xero should have a tick box where we can tick 'I need to pay super on this invoice' and it tracks and records contractor super owing.

  11. Ability to set up a bank rule to pay off an existing bill that is paid in monthly instalments. Currently have to manually allocate the monthly payment to a bill using the match and split function but it would be useful if a rule could be set up for this.

  12. Xero Profit and Loss account reports.
    Specifically, I need to switch the sign (bracket) on the cost variance.

    Currently, a higher cost than budgeted appears as a positive variance, usually a negative variance displays in brackets. Conversely, a lower cost than budgeted should appear without brackets.

  13. Bill pdf – to have a print function to print a Payment Voucher for Bill created via a template which user can customize and must contain bank payment details
    of supplier which is input in the Notes under supplier contact (see 1a above). This is to allow us to send the payment voucher manually to boss for boss to do the manual payment to supplier.

Please automatically remove archived contacts from any previous groups, or show those groups on the archive page. the new group invoicing keep including archived contacts and showing errors. the only way to remove people from groups is to restore them, remove them from groups and the archive them again. with over 1100 contacts this is a mammoth task and one i don't have time for. it was all working fine before you changed to new invoicing, you made the problem, you should make the solution.

  15. At the moment Zero Rated GST can only be applied to Revenue items on the Chart of Accounts. When we deal with a property sale between GST registsred parties, the sale is also zero rated for GST purposes. We need the option to apply the 0% GST rate to asset codes as well as revenue codes. At the moment, we have to do a manual workaround.

  16. Currently a client can upload a number of invoices and then create a batch payment for these invoices. When they make a payment for 1 of the invoices in the batch, you have to remove and redo the payment then match the separate invoice up, and then recreate the batch payment, excluding the amount which has now been paid. Would be easier if like with invoices, the batch payment could be split, saving the new to remove and then recreate the batch payment.

    Hi everyone, thanks for the idea and support here. We appreciate all the valuable feedback and ideas shared regarding the ability to split batch payments when reconciling, and understand it currently takes extra steps to reconcile when a single invoice among a batch has been paid, or when there are multiple payments to the same entity for different invoices.
    Being transparent, we don’t have direct plans for making this change within the foreseeable future but if anything changes in this space, we’ll update you on this idea!

    Hi Tiaan, while you can't filter or search by money received or spent you can order your transactions from the Account transactions tab by Received or Spent by clicking on the column header. Does this achieve what you're in need of here, or could you share a bit more detail of what you're often looking to find? If needed you could add a date search to filter these down further.

  19. Wouldn't it be a good idea to develop a professional version of XERO for those of us who use this for bigger concerns or who are professional bookkeepers? This one size fits all approach is not ideal, we don't require pop ups telling us how to create a copy invoice every time when it is something we do on a regular basis. Not the only thing that slows us down but there are too many to list

    Thanks for your feedback, Michelle. When you say a professional version are there other things out side of the notifications in product that you'd be looking for within a product of this kind?

    Being open we don't have anything like this planned, however understanding your needs can help when sharing your feedback with the team.
