  2. When viewing the 90-day short-term cash flow projection, payments from our on-site shop show 90 days of predicted income. However, for customers with existing invoices in the system, only those invoices are displayed.

    The issue arises when customers have only 30 or 60 days of invoices, causing a drop-off in the cash projection after 60 days.

    Proposed Solution:

    1. Combine existing invoices in Xero with predictions for future invoices.
    2. Automatically remove these predictions when an actual invoice is entered into the system.

  3. Bulk archive option for any contact either supplier and customer with no activity after 2 years or at least being able to run a report for the same inactivity (Smart list does not offer the options needed)

  4. e-invoicing notification

    It would be great if we could get some kind of notification when an e-invoice was received into draft. Without going into our process, not knowing when a e-invoice was received will cause delays in processing as well as paying it.

  6. Xero cannot current cope with companies that have more than one pension scheme. The upload I need to send to the pension provider includes payroll number, pensionable earnings for period, start date and date of birth. It would be useful if Xero had the ability to add these and additional fields if required customised in the contribution report.

  7. I would appreciate the Search engine to be reverted back to how it was. The new "upgraded" search is close to useless. When I search for clients, I expect all relevant clients to come up. I don't want to type in the whole client name, just to get their details to show up. Previously I could type in a few letters and the search would come up with an amazing list of relevance....
    1. Contact listed first
    2. Invoices listed next
    3. Bills listed thereafter
    4. then lastly bank transactions

    These searches used to come up with appropriate information and…

  8. Be able to see recurring invoices set up for a client on that client's page. So many times I think to myself "I'm pretty sure I set that up, but did I?" and then I have to go and search in the repeating invoice tab. It would be good to be able to see recurring invoices just on the client page.

  9. I would like to be able to flag or log a Xero issue, without having to raise a case.
    Sometimes my colleagues and I are having the same issue at the same time with Xero. Eg. Dashboard not displaying correctly, unable to change organisation from the dropdown menu. But when we go to https://status.xero.com/ everything is showing as "Operational".

    An option of being able to click onto a region; setting; choose the issue would be great. That means that Xero could be alerted quickly if there is a wider issue, or if it's an isolated issue.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting to help Xero identify and raise issues asap. While we may consider changes to this overtime, to be upfront there are no immediate plans for changing the current method to raise these sort of issues with us. There are a number of troubleshooting steps our specialists will work through with a customer to rule out external factors that could be impacting your experience with Xero, and they'll get the right detail to investigate, triage and escalate if the cause does appear to stem from within the product.

    One area we know customers can commonly run into trouble with is bank feeds, and we do have work going on atm to enable customers to send us an alert if they are experiencing trouble with a bank accounts feed from within their organisation. You can stay up to date with progress for this, on this idea.

  10. Ability to turn off invoice reminders based on the invoice branding template.

    This would mean we can prevent invoice reminders being sent to customers who have payments scheduled via direct debit.

    Thanks for sharing with us here, everyone. We appreciate there are many improvements our customers would like to see to improve their workflows for setting up invoice themes for their customers. We do have a product team that have been focused on improvements to simplify and enhance the look of branding applied to your invoices. Being upfront this doesn't stretch to adding invoice reminders at the branding theme level for the time being.

    We're continuing to watch and stay tuned to the ideas we have around this in our community and if there are any changes to share we'll post an update for you all, here.

  11. Purchase Order Reporting
    The current work around of using the Outstanding Purchase Orders Summary report lacks a lot of the vital info that's needed to manage Purchase Orders and create accruals at month end. A report that shows all the - coding, tracking codes, dates, who created and who approved, Description, etc and ability to run reports on only those that are not Billed and both with and without detailed lines would be more helpful.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback here. We appreciate there are more details some in the idea here would like to see around reporting of Purchase orders in Xero.

    We wanted to highlight for those in the conversation that it may help - There are Purchase order common formats in the Payable Invoice Detail report that you could use.

    For example, in the All purchase orders detail report, you can add a column to show the account, tracking and any other line item info you need.

    We want to be open that we don't have any plans right now for additional Purchase order reporting, however we'll continue to keep an eye on the idea here and share if there is any news.

  12. Invoicing - Ability to insert a page break in long invoices

    Some of our invoices have long narrations with multiple lines. At present if one of your line items goes over to a second page you have no ability to define where the page break should be. It would be a great feature to be able to place a page break at any point in the invoice.

  13. It would streamline workflow if there was a feature that allowed us to store a client's credit card on file and when a single invoice is sent out to the client, the business can charge the card on file.

    In previous invoicing systems, I was able to "store" a client's credit card on file and then invoice and charge the credit card on file. This is an important feature for my business as it removes the burden off my clients for paying the invoice and reduces the amount of follow up on my end for collecting payment.

  14. Batch print packing slip

    We are able to batch print invoices through the awaiting payment page, but having the ability to batch print packing slips would be great. Having to click in and out of invoices to print the packing slip for multiple entries daily takes quite a bit of time. Can this feature be added?

Currently, for monthly employees, Xero does not take into consideration the fact that they have been set up to be paid the same amount each month, therefore the days in the month are meaningless from a pay perspective. Unfortunately, this means that the basis leave accrues on to work out how many hours a public holiday/personal/annual leave day should be when leave is entered is also meaningless. Instead of defaulting to 7.6 (or 8) hours/day leave taken, it does a calculation based on the number of working days in a month. So if someone is being paid on the basis…

  16. Ability to show opening stock & closing stock closing amounts in the P&L on a monthly, quarterly etc basis.

    A function to allow to pick a Balance Sheet code or P&L code for stock and specify what balance to report in the P&L or trading account. ie. when running May 2023 monthly reports, the ability to specify that the opening stock is the stock on hand balance at 30 April 2023 and the closing stock is the stock on hand balance at 31 May 2023.

    Hi team, as you may have seen in our Xero news, we've been making a lot of improvements in the payments space. While not a direct solution to what you’re asking here, we're beginning to roll out a Tap to Pay experience powered by Stripe in the US. This payment method is already available in AU and the UK, and makes it even easier for your customers to pay you in person, using just your mobile phone and the Xero Accounting App - no extra hardware needed. When these payments come into your Stripe bank account in Xero you'll have all the information for easy reconciliations. We will also be launching Tap to Pay in NZ and Canada after the US.


  18. I'd like the ability to remove the "Forwarded Bill" note from the Reference field on the Bills tabs.

    Purpose: to make the data on these tabs easier to view. All of our bills are input via the Email Bill to Xero functionality - this note therefore appears on every single bill and is not only redundant but makes the actual references / invoice numbers harder to read.

    Hi community, as much as we were amped to share that there was work begun to solve for the idea, unfortunately this has been pushed back for now while the team get through a few other developments that are taking priority. As soon as there's change or news to share around the Account Watchlist we'll update you on this, here. 

  20. It would be great if Xero can change the PDF format of partner monthly subscription invoices by customer rather than subscription type.

    This way the PDF can be forwarded to our Xero Blue practice file as a draft bill and hopefully the AI will extract each customer subscription as a separate line item within the bill so we an easily assign each line as an expense to each individual client.

    Then the billable expenses will come through correctly when we raise sales invoices in XPM that integrate with our Xero Blue practice file as a draft invoice.
