  1. Streamlining " Multiple of Employee's Ordinary Earnings Rate" .

  2. According to different awards Time off in Lieu is suppose to expire in 6 months time if not used. Currently you can only bank and take Time off in Lieu. It would be great if Xero could automatically expire hours not used as this is a common practice in many employee Awards.

  3. Allow a timesheet to be created for the week ahead of the pay week. This allows employees with standard hours to enter their hours in advance. It also allows managers to run payrolls in advance if circumstances need it

  4. In Sage, we used to be able to run a report that allowed us to export all our employees hourly rates, so yearly pay rises were easy to plan from.
    There isn't a way to do this in Xero - so my suggestion is to have a payroll report, similar to the employee details report, that allows you to see all employees hourly rates.

  5. It would be great if we could pay our employees similar to how we can process a batch payment in XERO for bills. At the moment I am having to go into the bank account at the end and pay each employee individually.

    Is there another way to do this ? I may be missing something.

    Hi team, we appreciate wanting to make flows as efficient as possible and this would simplify making payments to your employees.

    While this isn't possible right now, we have a close eye on all the ideas in the forums here and will continue to track the interest in this closely.

  7. UK Payroll- Access to a communal time off calendar for all employees.
    As a smaller business we try to have one employee off at a time where possible- it would be hugely useful if they could access a shared leave calendar in the same place as they request leave & submit timesheets from. This would pull data from my admin overview calendar and stop me having to create external calendar in iOS and another in android which leads to missing data etc and wasted holiday requests.   8. Have the option to accrue leave on other pay items. ie. Saturday rate has to be set up with its own rate per employee as each employee is on their own rate for Saturday and isn't a "mutplication of the ordinary rate". This also needs leave to accrue on it.
    Spoken to Xero adviser and they don't have a set up for this yet.

  9. I'd like the ability to delete a super fund from an Employee's Employment tab where they originally had two super funds operating in parallel, and then closed one of their accounts. Currently the obsolete super fund can not be deleted, and can only be updated, which means you end up with two of the same super funds in the employment tab.

  10. Please remove the requirement to have a date of birth for an employee.
    We have been asking for this to be removed for years, Xero recently told us it was an IRD requirement. We contacted our account manager at Inland Revenue and they said it is not an IRD requirement and that they have been in contact with Xero Payroll to make the field non-compulsory.

    The workaround that Xero gives of adding a made up date does not work and causes issues where IRD send letters that the date of birth does not match that client.

  11. Add a template another file option for payroll. HSBCnet allows file uploads with a SUN however as Xero does not have this template it means only options is to apply for a SUN and increase costs of paying our payroll. We need a file that accommodates ACH CR BACs (non-SUN) files.   12. We want to be able to open and complete the employees draft timesheet, if it has already been started. We have enough to do without starting again from scratch what the employee may have already done but just not clicked the submit button.

    It is idiotic that, as the owner and payroll manager, that we cannot see an employee's draft timesheets.

    As the business owner and Payroll Admin, we should:

    • not have compromise our recordkeeping by putting hours directly into the pay slip.

    Hey Community, thanks for all the support shown for this idea. We understand that the core of this request is for business owners and payroll admins to be able to view, edit and complete draft timesheets.

    Our product teams have carefully considered this, however we want to be upfront that developing this capability isn't on our foreseeable roadmap at this time.

    The idea will remain open for votes so we can continue to gauge interest, as it will be important for when we next review our payroll priorities. Thanks again for sharing with us here, we really do value your input. 

  13. Can we please add an ability to add a new employee who is still an "Australian Resident for Taxation Purposes" but residing overseas for twelve months? Can't presently add an international address.

  14. Please automatically revert to the "Pay Employees" page after a payrun has been filed. At the moment after a payrun is filed with the ATO we are taken back to the "Post Payrun" / "File" page. You then have to click on "Close" to be taken to the "Pay Employees" page. Why the extra step?

  15. New Employee start date is part way through a pay week. The New pay run does not recognise the start day and calculates an entire weeks pay.
    This requires manual calculation and double check if the pay run has been recalculated. Open to errors and over payment

  17. Hi Xero team,

    For timesheets with the "Total hours worked" setting, would you be able to create a setting that allows us to set our own default shift duration?

    When we go to add a shift to our timesheet, by default the shift duration is set to 8 hours. For those of us who don't work 8 hour shifts, each time we log a shift we have to click on the duration and change it to the amount of hours we worked.

    It would be awesome to have this feature that allows us to set our default shift duration…

  18. I would like Xero to automatically lock the ABN on a client's file after the first STP event has been lodged. This will prevent clients changing the ABN when they change the entity's structure and reporting STP incorrectly across two ABNs. Undoing this mess is a nightmare.

  19. Weekly Payroll calendars and get paid monthly.

    It would be advantageous if timesheets can be submitted daily and approved daily.
    Reason: approved cannot remember hours staff worked last 30 days. approver has to make a note of hours and then refer to notes when approving timesheets submitted.

  20. One of my clients has hundreds of employees and at present when processing an unscheduled pay run, I have to keep clicking through the pages to find the employee. It would be so much quicker to be able to search for an employee within the Draft Payrun to then select to add.
