  3. Payment Schedule Date - add from other screens

    Make it easier to schedule payment dates. I love the ability to schedule payment dates but it is only available from one screen. It would be great to be able to add a schedule payment date from within the purchase. That would mean you could approve and schedule from the one screen.

  5. When creating a bill from a purchase order, it does not bring over the purchase order date. The date automatically changes to the date you are processing.
    Is there anyway you could keep the date.

With the currect feature History and note report we are able to see which invoice for example has been edited - change name of invoice - reconciled etc. However we would like to have a more detailed view, for example if an invoice is booked in USD and someone will change the currency in EUR we are not able to see this change , we can see only that the invoice is edited by X person but we are not able to see the change. How can we have this feature?

    Hi everyone, we wanted to provide an update of a recent change we have made where you'll now see the email address of the primary email entered in the To field is recorded in history each time an invoice is sent. You can read more about this change in my update here.

    As mentioned on that thread there are a couple of unique scenarios we are tidying up and I'll return to confirm once that is complete.

  7. New Invoicing has switched the position of Add from file library and Upload files. Whilst this may seem a small change, users are familiar with the order from left to right and I personally keep clicking the wrong one. Changing this order has no streamlining purpose so can it please be changed back?

  8. Reporting - to run a report that can show payment information (eg. paid date) and reference/item information.

    A report under cash basis does not show the reference that I put on the invoice reference or the item information chosen in the invoice, it is really hard to search receivable payment based on the information I need (PFA).
    A xero support specialist explained that because there is no reference on the payment, I can only search by Contact name or invoice number. But, when we do reconciliations to match the bank received with the invoice, there is nowhere to add…

  9. Create an undo or revert option for edits made to invoices. We can already see the history of changes made to an invoice, so why can't there be a option to undo or revert to a previous revision of the invoice?

  10. Permanent inventory item on a specific invoice template

    For example, we are an automotive repair shop
    If I was to have a specific invoice template for 'vehicle servicing' and would like every service invoice to come up with Sundries and Freight automatically

    This would be a great way to save time as well as making sure everything is being charged out correctly

    Hi everyone, thanks for your interest in the idea here. While we don’t have immediate work planned for adding the ability to enable permanent items within an invoice template, as mentioned in my last update an option for now would be to create a 'dummy' contact that you could create invoices for and leave in a draft status. When you want to use that invoice as the template you can then use the copy to option.

    On a separate note, our teams are doing some more discovery to better understand our invoicing users and we wanted to engage you all here. 

    As we continue to plan further developments within invoicing, our product teams would like to better understand our invoicing users for future improvements.   12. In original invoicing the Chrome CopyTables extension worked to copy the data from the invoice into Excel for creating pivot tables; that feature doesn't work in new invoicing. We work with multiple vendors on a single project and it's significantly easier to place those orders by copying the tables from Xero into Excel and creating a pivot table. If the base code can't be adjusted to work with extensions like that than being able to export an invoice as a CSV would be helpful.

  13. Extend the search function under bills to pay to include creation date to help elevate duplication when exporting data to csv file.

    I want to export invoices from Xero to import into a CRM platform to use as a job cost analysis as this is not a function Xero currently has.

    All invoices dated the 01.09.22 will not be input on the same date so there is no way to ensure you have exported all the invoices for the 01.09.22 unless you delay the export. This is not a practical solution for me as I want to assess the…

    Hi team, returning to the idea I wanted to highlight that you can currently run the History & notes report which could be filtered for Type = Bill, and type 'created' in the search bar.


    Relating to the ability to identify duplicates - our team are currently working on aa duplicate detector that'll further help with this process, so you'll be able to review bills that have been identified as duplicates and take needed action before exporting - You can stay up to date with work for this on this idea.   14. We create multiple invoices with deferred income. Currently I can approve the sales invoice then under "Invoice Options" copy to a new invoice and all the data is pulled over. I can then adjust the nominal ledger to the balance sheet and approve that, then again from the "Invoice Options" I can add a credit note to the P&L. I can then copy again to create a new sales invoice for the date when the income is due to the P&L and create that and once again add a credit note to credit the balance sheet. I realise this might…

    Thanks for sharing your feedback and the detail on how you use invoicing here. Just to make sure I understand fully and can share back with the team - when you say you want to retain all the data. It is currently possible to copy an invoice to a new draft invoice for the same contact, however is it that you are wanting the contacts defaults to be applied to the new invoice?

  15. Make the Customer Field AutoFill in new invoicing

    In the old invoicing - which by the way was must better and more reliable, the customer field would autofill if it was setup to autofill within the customer set up. With the new invoicing this field no longer autofills. Please Fix

  16. I have a repeating bill that is set up with the due date 14 days after invoice date. This is fine except the date calculated is 14 calendar days and the bill is actually due after 14 working days. Is it possible to have an option that allows for working days rather than calendar days?

  17. From "business" then "bills to pay" or "invoices" and click on "export" from a search result, the payment dates are missing in both the Invoices and Bills export files. Only the invoice dates and due dates are exported. Please add payment dates to the reports. Thanks.

    Hi everyone, we wanted to return and give you an update here. As mentioned in our last post - we want to be forth right that we don't have any plans to remove 'Powered by Xero' from emails sent from Xero, with intentional purpose and based on findings from interactions we can see having true benefit to customers in getting paid faster. 

    That said, we appreciate the feedback we've received and have made changes since this was initially raised to reduce the size of the footer where this is shown and have removed the hyperlink to xero.com. We will continue to develop the invoice email to continue to drive improvements for our customers and the ways you receive payments.

    Hi community, appreciate your sharing in community here. Atm if you're wanting to change the payment date for an unscheduled pay run, you can edit the payment date while the pay run is in draft status. We don't have any plans for automating this.

  20. Allow change to email format so that the VERY LARGE $X,*** 'Review and pay' button can be removed - as it can in the Classic invoicing. I have a large client who has stated they will leave Xero, rather than send emails in this format. They find it too aggressive.

    Hi everyone, appreciate the feedback here. Right now it is possible to hide the 'Review and Pay' buttons completely from the Email Settings in the Organisation  settings. From here you can disable the 'Include quick link to online invoice and detail summary' setting to hide the payment buttons entirely.

    Just to note, this does strip back the email formatting so you might like to send yourself a copy to see what this then looks like once the option has been disabled. Thanks
