  1. Please make the “Save Button” omnipresent, so it hovers/tracks the page and wherever the user is working, while building Quotes & Invoices...

    I keep having to scroll up to the very top of the page, in order to hit “Save” - and found when moving too fast, i can accidentally skip back, losing changes, and then having to start again.

  2. New bills screen - bugs/design that need to be fixed:
    - when filtering the currency column disappears
    - the planned date font size is smaller than the due date font size meaning I can't zoom the screen
    - the from column isn't wide enough so most suppliers' names are wrapping, meaning each transaction takes up 2 lines and results in fewer transactions on one screen and more scrolling, whereas there is wasted space between the planned date, paid and due date columns which could be made narrower

    1. As a senior manager I want to export a report, in one operation, a table of employee name and hours left to book, I need this to chase employees who are not taking leave and know the financial risk we are carrying in the business from untaken leave e.g.

  4. At the moment, the options for quote status are: Draft, Sent, Declined, Accepted, and Invoiced. A sales quote that was sent but it's now past the date on which it expired still shows as Sent. It hasn't been Declined yet, but nor has it been Accepted, so there are quotes which are 4 years old still sitting in the list of valid quotes (see attached extract from the accounts of one of my clients).     Hi! Did you know it's already possible to do this in Xero?

    To create an invoice for a customer group, you can click the drop down arrow next to the Invoice option from the Invoice list view you'll see your Contact groups where you can select which group to create invoices for.

  7. Please provide better organization tools to published reports archive such as being able to sort published reports by report end date (cut-off date)!

    Sometimes we have to go back and reperform a client's bank reconciliation because they don't always know what they are doing, or new transactions cleared in the subsequent period affect previously published report. It doesn't take long to see the published reports archive get disorganized and hard to find a published report.

The Balance Sheet currently defaults to the last EOFY date, which as at today (posting this suggestion) is 9 months ago. this is frustrating as you usually look for the figures as at now, and not the end of the last financial year. This functionality changed in one of the recent product updates. I know we can change the date and re-run the report, however it seems silly to default back to the end of the last FY and is a waste of time to have to do this always.

Since the new invoicing was introduced at least a year or more back, all repeating invoices that have the approve and send option ticked now dump the content of all line items from the invoice into the email body. We have always used line items for licencing elements that we pay for certain parts of our business that we do not wish to expose to clients. This caused huge issues for us as we weren't even aware this was an issue (as it was not communicated to us by Xero) until a client contacted us. I have had an open…

  11. Recently half of the emails I thought I had sent were 'unable to be sent'. I had no idea until I became worried why my usually reliable clients had not paid me on time. After looking I saw this message on the 'History' trail.

    My suggestion is that where an error occurs like this there is a significant error message signal e.g. a box comes up or things are highlighted in red and bold.

    Cashflow is the lifeblood of any business and if the system is unable to send an invoice this could have serious ramifications for Xero clients.

  12. Had to switch back to Classic INVOICE again... Because new INVOICE does not work...

    Auto tax rate for us in the US can be a good feature if implemented with smarts... That seems to be a big IF... Some of us do business internationally. So not all our invoices are for US based customers.

    Creating an invoice for a customer in Germany... !!!Unable!!! to complete the INVOICE because Auto tax rate insist I have to have a state for it to work???

  13. Have the ability to set default settings for every new Contact you add to Xero.

    Our default tax will always be Tax Exclusive for example. We should be able to set this as the default to all new contacts added, as well as:

    Default account
    Currency
    Invoice Theme
    Invoices Due Date

  14. To be add the job title of a primary person and additional person in a contact details.
    Xero is not a CRM but to manage the invoicing and bills relationship with contact, it could be great to know the position of the person on the other side.
    It could be a great add-on as to know to whom we are addressing our email in the contact company.

    Hi community, we understand how being able to add a persons job title in contacts would help distinguish and identify within a contact.

    Being open, this isn't something we have plans of for the time being. Right now, though not the ideal solution you could possibly use the notes feature in contacts to add detail of the differentials. We know this won't solve the needs for everyone in the idea but may help for some scenarios.

    If there is any plans made around this we will update you of this, here.

    If this is the common selection for due date you can set this up as a Default in your Invoice Settings, Denise. It's also possible to set this up as a default for individual contacts if you'd prefer too. 🙂

    Alternatively, you might find it handy to use the shortcut when entering your invoices. You can simply type +10 in the due date field and it will set the date to 10 days after the Invoice Issue date.

  16. Xero Analytics Plus cashflow to show a year not just 90 days.
    The current cashflow upgrade from Xero only shows up to 90 day which is weird as in reality you need to forecast for the year. Is this going to be extended to a year like all the other cashflow apps ?

  18. When you go into a customer and click View recent invoices report, currently it shows a list of all their previous invoices, which is clear and easy to read. When you click on the new report version it shows a list of approved sent and paid invoices for all customers, but only for the current month. This is totally useless as you then have to filter it to the customer, and change the date back far enough to show all the invoices. Can you please change this so it is the same as the old report.

    Hi team, we appreciate the attention this idea has received and do want to share that while we aren't directly developing at this stage, notification and being able to collaborate on bills is something our team are currently looking into. 

    We can't provide any promises right now, but we wanted to loop you all in on news. Once the teams research has concluded and we have a better sight on what can be done in this space I'll return to update you all, here. Thanks

  20. Repeating Invoices - ability to copy existing repeating invoice.

    Reasons:
    - Temporary Discount rewards (Scenario 1 below)
    - Previously agreed future price changes
    - Similar fee package for another client on a recurring basis

    Scenario 1
    - Client signs an ongoing recurring contract Monthly Fee = $1,000 (for illustration purposes):
    - Client sends us a referral, so we discount their fee 10% for the next 4 months (update current recurring amount to $900)
