In the new bills to pay draft screen even though I search for a particular supplier or filter alphabetically so I can find a certain supplier when I go into the first one and approve & view next instead of giving me the next one of that supplier (the filter I have on) it goes to the next date.     Hi community, thanks for sharing your needs with us in product ideas here. As you may have seen we've released some new features in the bills space and you should find our new quick view of a bill solves for what you're after here.

    With quick view you can easily filter for a supplier, then view each draft bill for that contact before bulk approving all bills at once. Simply click the downward arrow above the bill in the side view to move onto the next. 🥳

  2. When generating an Activity Statement for the GST wouldn't it be great if the information is automatically added to the Bills you need to pay?

    This way a person won't forget to pay their GST payment and can even easily include a default date that it has to be paid by

  3. It would be very helpful if there were the ability to set up Reminders in Xero Payroll for certain dates such as birthdays and apprenticeship anniversaries so that you would know to change the employee's Pay Rate accordingly.

  4. Be able to send a remittance for a future payment. Currently you can only send remittances a day after the payment has been made when the bank feed has been updated. We have suppliers who wont process our payments without a remittance meaning we run the risk of our account being stopped or alternatively we have to generate a remittance using word which is just duplicating work.

    You should be able to generate a remittance for any payment set up and not have to wait 24 hours after the payment is released form the bank account.

  5. To be able to view at a glance the 'period taken from a customer to pay invoices' from the Due Date to when the funds have reached the supplier's bank account. This is instead of exporting the Xero report in an excel sheet and then adding a formula to calculate the difference between the two dates. Surely with all the information already stored in the Xero account, this option shouldn't be too difficult to add. Thank you.

  7. REQUESTING LEAVE
    Firstly, when an employee is submitting a leave application, they are unable to adjust the number of hours they are taking when submitting this leave when the leave period is for more than one day. This is problematic for part-time employees that may work different hours on different days of their working week.
    RECORD/HISTORY OF LEAVE REQUESTS
    Also, employees used to be able to see the number of hours taken but this is no longer the case - why is this?

    Hi everyone, appreciate we haven't engaged directly in this idea sooner and reading through the detail of the original post here we do want to break this down a little to provide more clarity.

    It's correct that currently it's not possible to enter a number of hours leave if the request spans more than a day. We have another idea that's gathering support around this and we'd urge those interested in this to join.

    Similarly, we have another idea based around the permission to approve or decline leave request and provide read-only access to Payroll reports that you can support, here.

    Understanding the importance around being able to see history of events in payroll, you may have noticed we've rolled out payroll history to the employee record-level and most recently you can now see a history of user activity in the Organisation, Calendars, Pay Items, Superannuation & STP Settings…

  8. We're currently using xero projects a lot and something that happens fairly regularly is staff posting time entries into finalised periods. I.e. we have run reports and finalised an accounting period and then there have been later changes in those periods in xero projects. It would be good to be able to lock periods in xero projects as we do with financial informtation in xero.

  9. QR Code on Invoice that goes to same web location as the 'View your Bill Online' link on Invoices.

    Currently, a Xero Invoice can have a link displayed for easy/direct payment by customer.

    I would like to see the option to include a QR Code, embeded within the EMAIL sent to customers, and on the PDF attached to the Email, that translates to the same link, allowing for easy payment of printed invoices at time of delivery.

    Great for 1st time customers, Pay on Delivery or COD customers.

  10. Tracking Categories do not show in Xero Me mobile app when I approve my employees' timesheets. This means I cannot check that they have allocated their time to the correct Tracking Categories, so I have to approve timesheets on the computer making Xero Me useless for Timesheet approvals. Please show Tracking Categories in the Xero Me timesheets app.

    Hi everyone 🤚 thanks for the idea and support. I thought I'd pop in here to share that it can be possible to have your tracking options show in the Xero Me mobile app when approving timesheets. However to do this you'll need to choose the Total hours worked timesheet setting (instead of the Start & end hours option). Appreciate that this may not be suitable in all our customer's workflows, so we'll continue to monitor interest in this idea.

  11. From the moment you post a payrun, and this can be 1 day or 10 days before payment is made, employees have access to their payslips. To pull an ABA from the payrun, you need to post the payrun first. I process payroll for over 30 business's. Part of that process, as I am sure it is for any agent or employee bookkeeper, you generally need to get an approval (even the filing for STP makes you verify that an authorised person has checked it). This approval is an email to the client with the payroll information (including ABA file)…

  12. If I run the payroll on say the 22.07 and then a P6 arrives effective from say 25.07 it wouldn't be updated automatically. Surely it should be updated regardless of whether the date relates to a previous period or not? This frequently happens. I can't think of an example of when you wouldn't want the tax code to update automatically?

  13. Send an email when a draft invoice (or bill) is created automatically.
    When a draft invoice is created automatically, I want to be notified. By definition/design, it needs human attention before getting approved and issued. So I would like a human to be told it has happened.

  14. When you hit the approve button for an invoice, there are a number of options, such as approve and add another, or approve and print. I would like to see "approve and email"
    Another key point is once an invoice has been emailed, it isn't possible to go straight to adding another invoice, currently it is required to click on sales, then click on 'new invoice'. I think having a direct link to 'add another invoice' would be logical and more efficient.

  16. When sending a new invoice to a client with multiple contacts, I find the most recent invoice relevant to the current project and copy the email details from the History and Notes entry for the action Invoice Sent.
    If there is more than one email address, the old invoicing used to recognise that a comma separated the email addresses. I could paste that into the 'To' box without issue.
    BUT IN THE NEW INVOICING, I get an error message when pasting multiple emails into the 'To' box: "One or more email addresses are invalid."

    This isn't something we have planned at present but will get a sense of the appetite here and let you know if there's any change. 

  19. When a client emails bills into Xero files, they often include a note saying APPROVED or POST TO DIRECT COSTS and even- PLEASE PAY TOMORROW. At the moment I have to open the email, take a copy, email it back into Xero files and then attach that to the bill along with the original bill. Can a copy of the email be automatically attached to the bill when it is processed from files? It would save a lot of time.

    * Saving as draft!
    * New Due Date drop-down selections (e.g. 14 days)

    What I do not like:
    * No "add another invoice" option after save + print PDF, more clicks now
    * When save + print PDF, now opens a new tab that needs closed, more clicks
    * Cannot "copy" the invoice line "item" - I usually create many lines that I used to be able to copy & paste the "item", now more clicks
